  1. Installing mudbox now. I know zbrush has the same function with texturing by using applink with photoshop. The learning curve in zbrush is far too steep and is making my usual self-taught approach nearly impossible. Not to mention it has crashed on me multiple times when subdividing. Are the uv tools as easy as zbrush? uvmaster is the most magical insta-uv plugin I haver ever seen. EDIT: Basically all done in zbrush. Uv'd, Displacement map and normal all done, and also a basic texture. Screenshots of the lowpoly mesh with everything applied. Smoothing will be fixed once I get it into max. Currently ~2.2k polys. Also tried mudbox and I think I will stick with zbrush since I have already learned most of what I need. Texture detail
  2. Not a fan of the debris randomly stopping and falling looks a little funny, other than that they look great. I am not a particle expert, but it seems doable to me.
  3. Think I am done with all of the sculpting, added a couple more wrinkles around the back and some around the ears, the rest was left unchanged. Currently testing out different fabric textures, ignore the seams just a test and the fleece one hasn't been made tileable. I am thinking about going with the fleece, but would love some input or even some suggestions of materials. Kind of sweatpants like Fleece

    Map: Favslev, Denmark

I normally don't go for foresty like maps, but this is looking really good. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

I really dislike acu, but this is starting to make me warm up to it. I can't wait to see these in action. Really nice job, also looking forward to seeing this new base you speak of.
  7. My topology was really messed up so I scrapped my first one and started from scratch. Needs ton of work but it's getting there. I'm loving how easy organic modeling is, don't know why I never tried it before. Zbrush is pretty impressive too, first time touching it and after some initial frustration I think I am starting to get the hang of it. Decided to go with a more traditional recon wrap style mask. Done for the night, but I may actually finish this up tomorrow. Also as much as I think shemagh's are overused I might do a head wrap turbanish one after this depending how this mask turns out. More like a giant shemagh not really sure what they are called.
  8. Yeah kind of the idea I was going for. I textured one right on a face and it did not look even remotely right so I trashed that and thought I would give modeling one a try.
  9. Working on a neck/face mask thing, meant to start just under the nose. Still really rough, just adding in some basic wrinkles right now before I work on the outer edges. First time I have given organic modeling and zbrush a try so it is really rough at the moment. Going off of this a bit, but keeping the nose uncovered, I might do another one with the nose covered if and when I finish my current one.

Looking excellent, really like the vest. Have those glasses been released? Need to get my hands on them.

Balaclavas are what I am looking for, have had enough of all the shemahgs thrown on everything these days.

If I am not mistaken he is wearing glasses, but I agree I would love to see some automatic riflemen with some sort of lower face cover. I guess I could always throw a custom face on them once you release these.

    [AS] Editor Updates

Excellent, updates I have always wanted, thanks for this. This will cut down on a lot of unnecessary mission previews while working on my campaign.
  14. Eh I might, I have the outer shell done. I just hate making something that is already being made.
  15. Fail Cakes posted a WIP shot in the "stuff you are working on" thread and it is much further along than mine so I'm putting it on the backburner for now so I can work on a few other things. I only had the outer shell done so if in time no one releases one I will finish it up.

    Post battle behaviour

I have accomplished this with triggers. Not sure how one would go about it for a dynamic addon but as far as on the mission editor side of things it is quite easy.
  17. Doh....guess I will stop working on mine since yours is further along.
  18. Let me know if Aneas2020 has a Fennek, I started modeling one last night and would rather not continue if one is already done.
  19. That's what I was going to say. Thickness looks fine I think it might just be the angle.
  20. I might bang out a fennek, been looking for a vehicle to model.
  21. can't wait to see how the textures turn out.
