Overall Mod compatibility [aka. Will Mods A and B work togheter?]
Maxzy replied to gliptal's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Well, I downloaded new version of JumpMF, tried different order of mods in command line parameters, reset all controls to default, disconnected joystick, but all of it didn't help, so I guess it's one of those things - some magic-voodoo-nobody-knows-how-to-repair-one-in-a-millon glitch =). -
Jump MF - basic mod to unlock vaulting animation
Maxzy replied to das attorney's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
In this new 0.3 version you are able to turn view during the animation - it resets to center only in the beginning of it. In 0.2 it was stuck from the beginning to the end. So i guess it's an improvement =). As for fatigue dependence - didn't like it, imho 1.7 second timer was enough. And still it breaks when using it with STHud - I wonder how I'm the only one with this problem. I reset all controls to default, disconnected joystick, but still problem remains =(. -
Overall Mod compatibility [aka. Will Mods A and B work togheter?]

Doesn't work at all - I press alt and while I can run, mouse movement has no effect. Is there any chance that order of mods in command line params has any effect? I mean, is there a chance that -mod=@CBA;@sthud;@JumpMF works differently then -mod=@CBA;@JumpMF;@sthud? I'm at work right now so i can't check it out myself. -

Using - ShackTac Fireteam HUD Breaks - JumpMF Issue Freelook stops working and it becomes like there's an infinite aiming dead-zone is on, but only for a vertical movement. Solution ----- -

If you're trying to jump with pistol equipped it instantly changes to a rifle, and in the end of jumping anim, you get a rifle changing to pistol animation. -

Got home earlier that I thought so here's my feedback: it resets your point of view whenever you do it - while jumping you end up looking straight ahead no matter where you were looking before - pretty annoying. And another thing - it doesn't work correctly if I'm using it along with ShackTac Fireteam HUD. Freelook stops working and it becomes like there's an infinite aiming dead-zone is on, but only for a vertical movement. -

Woops, didn't want to bring any anti-jump war here, was just really excited about this addon, my apologies. But can you, lets say, jump into first floor window using it? Away from my gaming computer for now, so can't check it out my self. And did anyone try to shoot somebody during this animation - how does it look? -

Well THAT'S what I'm talkin' about! I wonder where are all the raged fans who yelling that WE DON'T NEED JUMP IN ARMA!!! -
Iroquois Pliskin, why you keep referring to BF3? No one said "Hey, look at this great BF3 stuff - we need exactly this in ArmA ASAP!!" No one said that this is the way we want it. And it's not that bad, to be honest, it's just that fade-to-black is happening for too long. It just has to be much shorter.
-
Heh, while I was lurking in dictionaries for the right words, you ninja'd me =)) Exactly - who said we don't want to physiological dangers to be simulated? I don't know about others, but this is exactly what I want to be simulated in the first place. Eyes blinking, head twitching - those kind of things. And since there is no way that psychological effects of human mind can be digitally implemented, we need some kind of substitute for that - i.e. shaking hands, etc.
-
And why the hell people always mention that suppression=BF3? It already WAS in ArmA2 before BF3 was even announced.
-
Hey, good idea!
-
Same here. But I guess some workaround could be done. Something like forced postprocessing in some cases. Or rather just some kind of video filter applied in case of supression.
-
Does suppression exists in real life? - Yes it is. Do we need it to be imlemented somehow in game? - Yes we do. How exactly it is supposed to be implemented? - Imho, shaking hands and slight bluriness is optimal.
-
Too late, it's already there. And was there for three fucking years.
-
Yeah. Too bad it's impossible in real life.

Just curious: Is anyone interested in no-respawn MP?
Maxzy replied to Bahger's topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Ghost Recon, Rainbow 6 and Hidden & Dangerous are mentioned on this forum more often then on official forums of those games, so the answer to your question should be quite obvious =)). As for me, this kind of missions are my favorite and I'm trying to explain to all my freinds that they're the best =). It's fun to play some battlefield-like missions (capturing points, infinite respawn) from time to time, but in the end I still prefer serious gameplay over casual. -
Yes they are. But there's a feedback tracker for this - http://feedback.arma3.com/view_all_bug_page.php

Another suggestion thread, this time full blown overkill
Maxzy replied to Psychomorph's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
So, generally speaking, what OP is asking for is to devs MAKE ALL THE OPTIONS =)). Didn't get about view positions - you're asking to make aim not in the center of the screen? Like you're looking into ironsights (aiming) but they are not in dead center of screen? -
BI must be provides the basic ANTI-TK system, not a script

This topic pops up again and again and I don't understand what stops serveradmins to just permaban those fuckers? -
Movement still feels like Operation Flashpoint
Maxzy replied to elaintahra's topic in ARMA 3 - BETA DISCUSSION
Of cousre you didn't, because there's nothing to argue with - the only thing there is "I don't like it" or "It feels clunky" or "We need JUMP!!!11!!" And no constructive propositions of how to make it better. You're disagreeing with assumption that those who want "improvements" are new to the game or kids. But looking at what they saying I get exactly that feeling - guys just do not understand that there are many things, which they consider as "bugs", that are not bugs but FEATURES. Bad Benson actually already nailed it: "do you really think arma movement is like that because BI doesn't know how to make a simple shooter? most of it is on purpose. it's way easier to make a floating camera shooter." -

Ninja'd :) Although I'm not saying that everything is perfect and theres nothing to improve, when i see such negative reactions for things that was VASTLY improved and now working almost perfectly well, I get a bit confused - maybe we're playing some different games :)? -

Wow, really? How long ago you played it last time? Maybe you should refresh your memory a bit and actually install and play it? Newsflash: it's not other FPS games - it's ArmA. Are you sure you played Arma 3? Maybe someone fooled you and you're actually playing ArmA 2? What makes you say so? -
So, we need more dispersed rockets and less dispersed miniguns. Is there a ticket yet :)?
-
Although it's very funny when in game you shoot someone and he flies away like you shot him not from your 7.62 rifle but from a buccaneer's cannon, I don't want to see such stuff in ArmA. Of course it would be splendid if they use Euphoria, it would be splendid if they use thousands of thousands of other great stuff that there is, but I like ArmA's ragdoll as it is - it's lean and mean and that's why it's great.
