    A shame. Thanks, Im currently making myself a batch Installer with all the SciFi addons for OFP ever released. Quite surprising what you stumble upon, stuff like this stargate mod for example http://bxbx.atrey.vdsoft.org/download.php, which was never featured on ofp.gamepark.cz. (The stargate mod 1.3 there is something different) But theres is also a lot of stuff which was never released. I wonder why people rarely seem to release their unfinished stuff, so that others may pick it up. Do they really want to get all the time already invested in it go to waste? Well so far I have the WH40K mod (Which is still active and I am a member of it :D), all the Star Wars addons, the Terminator addon, Predator, Aliens, Starship Troopers, Halo, Half Life, Star Gate, the different GDI-vehicles from Command & Conquer, the 3148 mod, the Thyria mod, the Wanzers and alle the other "mech"-addons...

    OFP Addon request thread

    Im currently browsing a bit for SciFi addons (cause thats the main reason I returned for OFP). I noticed a lot of very nice looking ones that never were featured in a release. Lately some "forgotten" mods like the Half Life addons have been released, maybe this happended for other stuff too. For example, does anyone know what happended to all the "Command & Conquer" or "Aliens" addons? If someone still has something like this on his HDD, please upload it, I will be grateful no matter how unfinished it is.     Sorry but Dean is right on this one, when Marfy talked about his "upcoming" addons in in 2003 no one thought about ArmA back then..Or a makeshift implementation into OFP after eight(!) years :rolleyes: As an addon maker myself I know there is a difference between posting screenshots to inform others of addons they can expect, and just plain "teasing" with no real intentions for an actual release. But nice to see the models are still around and worked on, everythin that keeps OFP alive is to be applauded.

    Oh....Marfys vehicles...Memorys come back.... Well sorry Bielow, but if you dig up these addons with their unique backstory, and post pictures and promise us a release you HAVE to deliver ;) Its been over six years since Marfys "addons" that where just nonfunctiol artwork for a college project, and Im still angry at him :D
  8. I planned on doing some Warhammer 40K stuff for ArmA II, but there is just not enough of "fanbase" for SciFi stuff. I mean making an addon for ArmA II is quite difficult, escpecially the texturing. If I do all the work, at least I want to see some people be glad about it. But if I look at threads like the one about Battlestar Galactica, Stormtrooper, or whatnot, which tend to be on page 2 after a day because no one is interested in it, whats the point? ArmA II player want 500 different "Special Forces Reskins" and every variant of the M4A1 Rifle ever in existance. They dont care for Space Marines or Battlemechs. So now I have returned to the 10 year old Operation Flashpoint. The WH40K-mod there is still active, and even If I do just one addon there are more "wow cool thank you!"-posts then there would be in ArmA II. Also other mods are around, Jurassic Park, Thyra, 3148-SciFi Mod...There is still some live left in OFP.   9. No matter how many functions it has in real life, as long as you dont implement them ingame it will just be that. And at the moment I dont see any of them happening, apart from the "reload" function. And all that effort just for some kind of supply truck? Again: Meh.
  10. Have to agree, it might look nice in bases and scenery, but its actual use ingame would be very limited. And looking at the outstanding quality of your work, all that effort just for a "scenery object"? Meh.

  12. For which version of the Battlestar Galactica ships is this? Does it work with them all? Because I dont have the very latest version, since it uses strange minigun-noises instead of the cool original sounds. EDIT: Download wont work both with Mozilla and IE, it only downloads a 2KB "download.php" file.

And my request is even something UNREALISTIC! *GASP* :eek::D Well I would like to see the "Viper" jetfighter from the TV-Series "Caprica" ingame.   16. Hey I have a very strange problem. Like most of you I have "TAB" for "Next Target", so when I have Air-to-Air Missiles, pressing "TAB" makes me lock on the enemy plane. I wanted that my second Joystick button also does that, so I went into options, and under "Next Target" I pressed that button. ArmA II also recognized it probably, and now under "Next Target" it says "TAB" and "Logitech Stick Button 2". However for some reason, ingame ONLY the "TAB" key work. When I press the Joystick button, nothing happens, when I press the "TAB" key, it locks on O_o I have now idea why, the Joystick button is only assigned to the "Next Target" function, as is the "TAB" key.

    Hah first when Nodunit announced the AH-64 I was disappointed that the did something so unimaginative, something that was already ingame. However now I think anything fictional or even very rare would be a waste of Nodunits talents, because here we have a guy that painstakenly stays close to detail, and does tons of research to stay as close to reality as possible. And with something as the AH-56 or RAH-66 he would have a hard time doing that research, because there should be far less material available.
  19. Yeah, the minigun sound doesnt really cut it... Also, crank up the turning rate of those Vipers, remember, 0.35 seconds or something for a 180° degree turn. :DAt the moment they turn like bricks. Very nice work on the pilots, Im amazed how fast and in which quality you create those addons. (Even if you got the models from some open-source site)

    Project RACS

    Hm I dont get it why some people dont like that fictional RACS skin. Since I wasnt able to find a real life example for such a paint scheme it think BIS did a great job when they invented it for ArmA 1, and the RACS mod utilized and developed it pretty well. All the guys who a screaming for USMC / Navy whatever variants seem to forget that this is the Armed Assault Universe, and the RACS is just a part of it like the Navy or the Marines. Especially since BIS keeps referring to them.

  22. Since 1.08 or 1.55 (I installed both) you can change the HDR Setting from "Normal" to "High" and "Very Hight" But whats the difference? I cant make out one :confused:
  23. Sorry but 2shared.com is kind of...shit? First it blinks me a big fat fake "download" option in my face, then when I click on the tiniy little button in the far right corner, it gives me an error message :D
