    ArmA 2 site hacked

Has anyone noticed this? Maybe it's not an invasion...
  3. :) Thank you so much bro. I thought there is a way to do it without any launcher:o
  4. Can someone teach me how to do it? Run CO without starting Steam? Is it the _runA2CO.cmd thing?
  5. The patch had no problem finding OA in my machine. The 1.59 patch cannot recognise only the ArmA II 1.08 in my machine. During the 1.59 patching process, the patch didn't even mention that it found ArmA II or anything. It just said the OA 1.57 was found and it would be patched to 1.59. I had no error messages or anything. So I had to download ArmA 1.09 patch and patch my ArmA II. I got worried a bit but I haven't experienced any problems so far. And I just tested the AToC thingy, my impression is that I love it!!! Finally, my tree is not glitering anymore:yay: !!! Love you ArmA II & BI.
  6. Just want to share with all. I have Steam version CO. I can't wait so I used the 1.59 patch. ArmA II OA is patched to 1.59, but ArmA II still shows as 1.08. I will try patching ArmA II using 1.09 again. Update: I was able to patch my ArmA II to 1.09 using the seperate patch. No problem so far. I was able to run Arma II and OA individually and run CO successfully as well.
  7. Thank you very much. Really appreciate that:yay:
  8. Yes, I am aware of that. But there is a possibility that when steam releases the patch in the future, we will be asked to download the whole game again, thus the "screw up" I mentioned. Let me elaborate on my original post. I suggest that maybe BI should do a poll among the ArmA II Steam users, ONLY steam Arma II users. Ask all of the steam users whether they would like Steam to continue to provide the future patches through steam or not. The redownloading whole game thing is not exclusive to ArmA II on steam. Since many other games are suffering the same problem, it doesn't seem like steam is really going to fix it anytime soon. Besides, there is probably nothing to be fixed up any way; the problem is caused by the way steam patches games. :depressed: Well, if the users want steam to stop patching our games then it could be a win-win situation. BI wouldn't need to waste time in trying to help steam solve the technical problems; and we steam users wouldn't have to worry about unwanted updates causing redownloading of the whole game. However, I know it's not as easy as it sounds like. So if anything in my suggestion sounds like that I am an arragont gamer whom had never set a foot in the business, which I am:p, then please accept my apologies Dwarden. :D
  9. If this is how slow the steam patch is gonna be, I suggest to get rid of the whole "Steam patch". Only release the universal patch for any version, so steam users wouldn't get screwed by steam.
  10. Thanks for the tips. I live in Adelaide too.

Steam - opinions and experiences survey

Not Sure at the moment but..... I had no problems with CO on steam. I just bought it 4 weeks ago and I have not dealt with the GB extra large patches everyone else is talking about. If there is a way to make the steam patches the same size as other patches, then it's yes for me. If any other issues that are mentioned by other users can be fixed then it's also a yes from me.
