That might be an option. Do any of the TIR folks know if you can switch TIR to mouse mode on the fly with a key? I do hope I'm not sounding ungrateful, I just have no idea how these things work. Is there some kind of text file that I could go into to bind specific keys to each HUD mode, or specific keys to bring up each MFD, or keys to bind to things that show up as scroll wheel menu options in game but not in the controls menu to assign keys?

Thanks for the clarification on the HUD. Hopefully someone has figured out how to tie the guns to TIR. Another question: Is there any way to bind a key to each mode? Instead of one key to cycle modes, I'd like to have a different key for each mode so that I can bind them to the 3 position dogfight switch on my stick. I'd also like to bind keys for menu options. I'd like a specific key for each MFD, for example, as well as a specific key to toggle the hud on and off so that it isn't necessary to scroll through a menu to get at these features. Is this currently doable?

Couple questions: Is there a way to have the apache gun follow your head movement when you use the trackir? Also, when I try to change the HUD color it changes to orange for a split second and then goes back to green. Thanks

Donno. AVG found Trojan horse Downloader.Agent2.AGHD and Agent2.AAYR in objects PPJoyMouse.exe and PPJoyDLL.exe I sent them to quarantine and got the fix to work anyway so

Installed the download from your link there and AVG found 2 trojans. Does this program usually set off antivirus software?

I echo this. I don't mind getting serious(ish) but draw the line at calling people Sir or SGT. Heavy into flight sims so I have my stick, throttle, rudder pedals and Track IR ready for some wop wop action. No auto hover, no mouse and keyboard for me. Don't care if it's transport or attack. Would really enjoy learning from someone with prior real life experience. I can envision flying with a copilot, someone who can check the map and navigate, and scan the air and ground for threats. Wouldn't mind doing that for someone else. Would be cool to have a full dedicated crew. Don't know if that kind of thing exists in the ARMA online world. On days when a helicopter is not needed my second choice would be in some sort of sniper capacity. Sniper/spotter team kind of stuff. On days when neither are needed I can hold my own doing something else. I'm prior service so the tactics and communication isn't too foreign to me. Thanks

Huh...I posted another message earlier but it seems to have never made it... Long story short: 1 time got the ban message was 1 other on the server. Might have been the admin waiting for friends or something. Every other time has been the before mentioned message and am dropped from a server. Had a sound mod that was launched with some 3rd party launcher for ARMA2. Am of the understanding that if I launch the game with its usual icon the mod isn't applied. Is this incorrect? Has not been an issue before last night. Was advised by an acquaintance to modify a file located in the "Documents" folder to adjust AI accuracy to make a more realistic offline experience. Asked if it would conflict with playing online. Was told it would not as the hosts file is what's used on the server. Is this incorrect? Thanks for the help.

I just had the exact same issue/message last night. First time taking ARMA online since grabbing BAF. I continuously kept getting that message and getting dropped from the servers. Once was able to stay for a few minutes before I was "banned." Does anyone know what this message means? Is it an incompatibility in versions or something? I might add that the list of servers was very short, I'd say 30ish. I don't recall there being that few servers when I installed OA after having played ARMA2 for a few months... Frustrating.
