  3. IDK about that... shows like Future Weapons and other videos that have been monitered by the Associated Press (that clearly are not funded or owned by the Dragon Skin makers. Again these are only a FEW examples of proper tests (and not the best ones at that) just do a comphrehensive search and you can find stuff Im sure! Yes plenty of compnanies lie as form of marketing but you shouldn't be so quick to dismiss the tech (One of the latest DragSkin models is classified by the US government (the company that makes it can't reveal what they put in it so it must be worth something!)

I've seen all those videos of round after round (and hand grenades!) being used on it without penetration, also rember this is the future so it could be assumed that whatever issue dragon skin has, its been fixed by now. Or atleast some of the scale-design tech could be used on other more reliable materials that may be less (or more!) powerful.

    What do you think off the "future" setting

    Although I kind of like the "new" weapons like the Tavor, Comanche, and such(regardless of how likely they are to be adopted by NATO) the thing i really don't like is the purley "fictional" designs/hybrids. Don't get me wrong, this will in NO WAY stop me from buying and enjoying the game (that will up to my PC:p) but considering the campaign (which looks like it will be really worth playing this time around) will most likely utilize most if not ALL of these fictional assets I am a bit irked to be honest, so I would PERFER if in the future BI would stick a lot more to the real-world gear and leave the mashups to the mod community.

    Make civillian "spawn zones" so we don't have civillians walking the middle of enemy bases! Also make said civillians not walk through walls like they do now *cough* ambient civilian module *cough*.

    You know how BIS can make the game more realistic and difficult without alienating ANYBODY? 1.On top of all of the other difficulties make a difficulty called SIMULATION, so ultra-realistic fans like myself can enjoy, (make all difficulty options 100% configurable anyway (serverside) or if necesary a mission author (some scenarios may require certain options that arenot in vehicles outside of sim-uber-realism mode. One difficulty options could be auto-start where in a vehicle that requires any sort of complex start up, would be automatically performed by the players avatar in real-time so some CAS/QRF response times could be accurate w/o someone having to memorize a 10minute start up sequence. (the player would just hit the start-up function from the popup menu) maybe a quickstart option as well so some parts may be skipped like pre-flight checks if you are in a real hurry (maybe a 10% chance of any systems failing if you do this) 2.BIS should make good in-depth training missions for normal and sim modes.

    Another thing I hope they do in Arma3 is the ability to use the proper scopes/sights of ALL weapons, there are several turrets and the like in Arma2/OA where you cant, aim down sight making them quite a bit less accurate. I would hope that BIS wouldn't feel the need to "nerf" various weapons as they usually balance themselves out on the battlefield IRL.

    One thing I would like would be the ability to "crouch" whilst still inside a turret tha'ts either in a bunker w/ low sandbags or mounted on a vehivle like the HMWV GPK so that when you come under too much fire/are relaoding and want to protect your head you can. ---------- Post added at 09:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:13 PM ---------- Also (an idea for the engine) I know people are always mentioning the discrepancies between a model of an object and its collision model, could the engine be modified to see these two things as one in the same? That way you get a collision model that is in 100% accordance with the actual image displayed onscreen and you only have to render one model perobject instead of two all time.

    As far as I know (and I could be TOTALLY wrong so plz don't hold it against me) physX only works on a certain brand of GFX cards, and I think physX requires the proper hardware to be implemented in a game.So I have a question... if I don't have the right brand of GFX card with the special PhysX hardware included, can I not make use of most of the upgraded phyisics?

    Happy Birthday man! I hear great things (am waiting for CO version to be released). I also have some questions... Since I want the most realistic experiance possible there are some mods that I would like to know if they are/will be included into CO warmod. Mando Missles is one, and another is a very promising sound mod (is still in beta i think) called "Real Warfare Sound Mod", also do ACE compatible versions include ACE or must it be downloaded first thing? Thank you for your hard work which I soon will be enjoying!
  19. Hello everyone, I recently purchased Arma2 CO and I know there are TONS of mods out there! So instead of downloading everything in sight. I would like to have some information on your top five mods and why. (Also please advise how to download files and extract etc.) Do any mods conflict with each other? How? I basically know nothing so feel free to add any extra advice concerning mods and how they work. Thanks! Also, please inform about patches, do I only need to install the latsest or do I have to go from version 1.001 up or something? Must I delete previous patches before new versions are installed, if so is this process automatic?
