Future Price options for ARMA games...

Yeah I know...I just thought Id put the option there. Even though I voted for the $70 retail price (Id gladly pay 100 but wanted to be releastic enough that it wouldn't discourage people from buying the game) I think $60 is safest as that is the same price of ALL new conslole games and a few PC games like starcraft 2 when they first come out. ---------- Post added at 01:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:34 PM ---------- How is it that wanting to pay more for Arma, (by a paltry $10-$20 IMHO) a game that your can ALREDY play an infinate number of ways in a uniquely realistic environement that allows a FULL SUITE of user modifications and MASSIVE improvments over the last iteration and is constantly supported post-release for several years make me EASY to please!? If you think enjoying all that endless variety of fun at a slightly higher price makes me EASIER to satisfy than the rest of consumers (globally) then you are dead wrong. Lest I bring up the SAME $60 price tag (relative to your currency ('cept I heard Australia gets BONED w/ higher prices)) that literally MILLIONS of consumers are willing to dish out for games like C.O.D that (regardless of your OPINION of fun) do NOT offer the amount of freedom/flexibility WITHIN that gamespace to constantly breathe new life into it on a daily basis like ARMA does. SO no I am not easy to please or to milk but when I think the situation truly warrents it I will happily give a little more.

Do/will AI in Arma have unlimited ammo?

I was also more curioius as to ENEMY AI. If they are low on ammo (say b/c they have been trying to get you from a long distance where they keep missing their shots) will they then try to advance w/o firing so that if they can close distance and survie they then have a MUCH higher chance of hitting me? Or will AI continue to favor engagement at a distance until all ammo is expendad and they cannot defend themselves.

    ArmA3 Wishlist and Ideas

http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2011/07/invisible-inc/8523/3/ "Months passed. Then, this spring, Cramer invited me to his workshop. When I entered, he lowered the shades. Then he pulled up his iPad and showed me a video that depicted a cream-colored wall with a dark baseboard. In front of the wall stood something resembling a Japanese shoji screen, with panes as clear as Saran Wrap: I could see the wall behind it. In the video, a woman entered the room and walked behind the screen so that her head stuck out above it. And then I watched as her body disappeared. Her head floated above the screen, and I could see the wall. But nothing of her body. “We’re bending the entire spectrum of light—infrared, ultraviolet, thermal,†Cramer told me. “People are disappearing. It doesn’t use cameras or mirrors or require power.â€" I also heard this tech mentioned briefly during an NPR interview at the end recently.

My trip to BIS at Gamescom 2011- Great!

So in the end did petkka let you tell EVERYTHING or is there some stuff he asked you not to tell (no need to be specific ofc;))
  8. Interesting, I had no Idea that TWS's had to "adjust" beofore working properly, I guess thats just one more innacuracy in OA:)
  9. I wonder why, when the TWS is activated on the Lynx the display is totally blinding white for a few seconds, do you guys think it is meant to be like that, because that doesn't seem very realistic and could be quite a hassle when you need to put a quick shot downrange...

  15. Now THAT's what I call good news! ---------- Post added at 06:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:00 PM ---------- Yeah I thought it was pretty funny to see the major technological differences between the two games, despite Deus Ex HR only being two years after:p
  16. I know but they made it sound like this one would be different, at least that's what I got out of it, cause I could've sworn I heard sandbox campaign being said, so to me I originally expected the whole island to be free and almost any objective could be captured or stumbled upon in any order (you might cennect the dots to some sort of mystery just in case your ultimate goal isn't clear from the get-go) save for some sort of climax that would only trigger once you had done all of the critical tasks/whatever chosen side tasks... ---------- Post added at 03:23 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:52 AM ---------- BTW I am fully aware of what computer performance is and honestly, they could just load the map in sections w/o restricting anything based on player position in the campaign or maybe the player centric AI in campaign (which, for the record, I have NO problem with) it will be enough for people who will have VERY powerful fomputers when the game releases, to handle the full map and maybe (if designed so) tackle the objectives in a COMPLETLY nonlinear fashion, which IMHO would GREATLY increase the enjoyment and replayablilty of the campaign, which is obiously a huge part of the intial package and is now being advertised by BIS as such as there is no multiplayer focused interviews/footage. And if its true that the campain wont be totally sandbox I'll be pretty disappointed, not that it will stop me from buying and enjoying the game, mind you, I'll just enjoy it a lot less until I can get mods to install properly because shit got wierd back when I tried to get CBA for A2CO to work, all the advice i was given wasn't very concise at all and numerous attempts failed until I got it to work, but then it wouldn't show up on my launcher so I kind of gave up with mods for now which is why the Vanilla version is most important to me because that's probably what I'll be stuck with for awhile.
  17. I would definatly want things to be as realistic as possible, at least on the hardest difficulty setting, so I can try to learn some new things but not be FORCED to if they were too hard for me to grasp, but ultimatly yeah, TAB-Lock should go, though I can't say I have any new ideas as to what it would be replaced with, even on the easiest of settings.
  18. What is all this dividing stuff from??? I know that player centreric A.I is considered but not confirmed officially BTW but I never heard about restricting chapters to certain PARTS of the island! Thats sounds horrible!I want FULL freedom not LIMITED freedom:mad: Whatever link was posted above isnot working, it just takes me back to the same page so I cant find out...
  19. The sound is very good!

Civvies Civvies! Its all about the Civvies!

THANK YOU... Took the words right out of my mouth!
  21. How fast could one railgun even fire anyway, would cool down time could be massive? Or the wait only be dictated by the relaod time? Part of me wants to abuse the rate of fire if it is possible and cause the railgun to overheat and explode myself if im not careful!

Bring back the music from OFP/ArmA/ArmA2/OA

Yeah I could imagine that music fitting in great with some nice story heavy cutscenes to convey calm before the storm, or maybe if you stumble on a partiularly jovial group of greek civvies, the music could play with a proximity trigger, maybe along with one or two animated guitarists to make it look like they are playing, and if they sense danger, they stop so it could be a dynamic alert if enemy soldiers are approaching the group that you're staying close by to. At the very least it should play everyonce and while on the main menu!:)
