1. Thanks Starky396! I'm not sure what you mean, role-play game-play offers little to nothing in single-player. What was your view of a single-player mission?
2. We were so taken by Loudy's review that we decided to take the testers hunt some wild boar! :dance1: So much progress has been done in the last few days, we are working very hard to make Daylight the experience everyone has dreamed of!
3. Don't worry, the guides will be written in English and hopefully will include colorful pictures for your reading pleasure! :dance1: Great! Contact Ezcoo at gamesbase.cz:9988 (TeamSpeak 3)!
4. We had the must awesome time with Loudy this evening! Loudy was very excited and he openly expressed that to us! There is NOTHING as awesome to hear than someone who is really excited about the project share their feedback! We had a GREAT time! :dance1: Dont be afraid to express yourself: gamesbase.cz:9988 (TeamSpeak 3)
5. Come and talk to us! We love to hear your feedback! gamesbase.cz:9988 (TeamSpeak 3)
6. Welcome Horner in to the dev-team! :dance1: Like me, he believes in clean & optimized code! We are very honored to have such a skilled team member with us! Edit: Unfortunately Horner is busy with school and is unable to help in the development of Daylight at least for now.
7. Thank you NeuroFunker, we are very flattered by your quick response! Unfortunately our Russian translator drank too much vodka and was unable to give us correct translations, however if we turn the vehicles in the opposite direction the magic of ArmA fixes this! :dance1: The texture on the models is mirrored on the other side so there is unfortunately nothing we can do about this.
8. Thanks for keeping us motivated with your kind words!
9. You're in luck! Motivated by your feedback, we decided to took some daylight pictures of Daylight! You can view them in the second post of the thread. :dance1: I also found Ezcoo lurking around the radio tower! To ensure his safety, he needed some tough love. Thanks again for your feedback!
10. Thanks for your colorful compliment! It's always a HUGE motivation for us to hear feedback! There is nothing extra running, it took me some trial and error to find the best color correction values. The colors are affected by the time of day and weather. All screenshots are straight from in-game vanilla ArmA II running Daylight! What you see is what you get! :dance1: One of my biggest goals in Daylight is to improve ArmA II in any way I can! Many people underestimate ArmA II, but Real Virtuality always surprises me with its power and moddability! It truly is the best engine to work with, and I've dedicated a lot of time for Real Virtuality since OFP! Hopefully we can gather a community of ArmA II and ArmA II: Free players that will continue to ArmA III with us!
11. There was a video here but we decided it was a bit too graphic, if you still wish to see it you can check out some videos from our YouTube channels here and here! :dance1:
12. The #1 reason why I started dedicating my time to this project was by far that every server I went on was basically a lightly modified version of the other with poor performance and on top of all poor gameplay. That's the main motivation with this project. Before I even wrote the first line of code of Daylight I took time to plan and make many tests to maximize the performance. We as a team want to bring you the best role-playing experience: new novelty, gameplay elements and on top of all a overall harmonic experience for you to enjoy. We are here to make a change. A light in the end of the tunnel, Daylight. No more bullshit. :dance1: I invite you to play with us when we're ready!
13. Daylight is super, can't wait for the release! All this eye candy is making my heart melt!
14. Official Absolute Zero IRC-channel: #OFP-AbsoluteZero @ QuakeNet (Click here to chat with QuakeNet webchat) Introduction Absolute Zero is a work in progress survival multiplayer modification for OFP/CWA. Absolute Zero aims to provide a quality modification where atmosphere is the key element. The goal is to provide a world filled with content by the community, made especially for Absolute Zero. Hopefully the modification will be featuring a new island, new units, new weapons, new buildings with interior and quality sound. Absolute Zero is set in a fictional low temperature post-soviet area in the 90's. After the Cold War came a new cold, low-temperature era. In a matter of years the new climate took over, resulting in total chaos. Food and clean water quickly became scarce and riots ravaged around the world resulting in the collapse of most governments. The world is now covered in snow and the ex-rule of law has been replaced with the law of nature: survival of the fittest. You are one of the few survivors in your area. Every day it's a matter of life and death, nowhere is safe. Welcome to Absolute Zero. Details are still undecided; keep checking this thread for more information. This is a community project, not only my vision, if you have ideas share them! Ideas and suggestions are very appreciated. Technology Absolute Zero aims to bring a quality modification for the community. Absolute Zero uses the Multiple Session Gamemode-system developed by qbt. The system enables players to save their progress and continue where they left off, enabling a whole new OFP/CWA-experience. The Team The team behind Absolute Zero currently consists of only me and help is needed. We are looking for talented people who want this mod to see the light of day. qbt (project leader, mission framework programmer, island creator and texture artist) Matteo1944 (3D modeler and texture artist) StromCRO (3D modeler and texture artist) We are looking for a: 3D modeler (weapons, vehicles and units) Texture artist (building interior/exterior, weapons and units) Sound artist (capable of recording at least one of the following: weapon, item or ambient sounds) Music artist (capable of creating fitting dark ambient music) If you value high quality products and you own all rights/you have been given rights to the content you contribute you've most likely got what Absolute Zero needs. If you are interested in joining the team send me a private message here on the BI-forums!
15. I have been testing & developing a character saving system for CWA/OFP in the past few weeks. I have a working base for a multi-session mission with character saving which only needs to be ran server-side. However, I've hit a block and I have no further plans for the development of this project for the lack of an idea what to use the system for.

Example video #1

I am asking you, fellow members of the CWA/OFP-community, for multi-session mission ideas. What would you like to see to be done with a character saving system? Hopefully this project will bring the community of this great game closer together. I am looking forward to hearing your valuable ideas! E: Check out Multiplayer: Absolute Zero!
16. Thank you for the suggestion Icarus. However, this project is frozen until I can gather a small development team to discuss the details of the project.

Binmod Release Thread

I'm afraid it's possible. ;)

Multiple Session Gamemode

Have you already ported DayZ to CWA/OFP? The system only saves manually defined variables.
19. qbt

Multiple Session Gamemode

The system must be implemented in the mission, of course. There is no reason to reinvent the wheel, I will not port DayZ for CWA/OFP.
20. qbt

Multiple Session Gamemode

In the first post I wrote how you can help: you can help by giving me ideas what kind of a mission to use this system for.
21. qbt

Multiple Session Gamemode

You understood correctly. The project is not ready.
22. qbt

Multiple Session Gamemode

I'm not sure if I understood your whole message. This system works both in single- and multiplayer; Fwatch is only needed server-side. There is no need to have Fwatch running on the client. This system has nothing to do with the saveGame command. Character data is saved server-side and can't be directly edited by the client.
23. qbt

Multiple Session Gamemode

I already have. However, I would like to see a method of saving/loading arrays from a variable in a file in the next version of Fwatch.
24. qbt

Multiple Session Gamemode

DayZ features character saving, but this is not DayZ for OFP. Data saved for each character contains information such as the position, weapons and health of the character. This data is loaded and applied to the character when the owner of the character joins the game and saved intermittently during gameplay. This system can be used for any kind of multi-session mission scenario.
25. Hello, I'm looking for a Russian speaking voice actor for few radio lines, the script is in English and needs to be translated. The radio lines will most probably feature three persons. PM if you are interested :)!
