  2. I keep getting errors when I use all 3 CBA files about Event handelers? Installation for CBA: * You should always install the @CBA mod folder by copying it to your ArmA II installation folder. * If you have a "merged", Combined Operations installation with both the old ArmA II content and the new Arrowhead expansion, you're done - you only need the @CBA mod folder. * If you have a standalone Operation Arrowhead installation, you need both the @CBA and the @CBA_OA folders loaded. * If you only have the older ArmA II installed, you need both the @CBA and the @CBA_A2 folders loaded. I have a "merged", Combined Operations installation with both the old ArmA II content so should only need @CBA

  5. Yep you are correct, Turns out the most inteligent part of my brother did run down my moms leg at child bith. Not 100% there yet as getting the missing MSVCR100.dll file warning Any ideas wher I can get said file? Looks like its part of .net framework

He is trying to do the install and hasnt the slightest idea on what he is doing lol. I have FTP access and thats it.
  7. -arma2netdev is at the end of my command line after the -mod= stuff Could it be something to do with my homebrew mission. I cant use the demo mission as it has too many addons and would take me days to upload them all to the server. Is anything alse needed apart from files in the mission scrips folder and a mission.sqf with one playable slot on it

    Well I have just downloaded all the bits I thought I needed and tried. Weather I got it right or wrong I have no idea. Im prety sure its not the mission just the communication between Arma2 and the database. A step by step idiots guite to set this up would be helpfull. in the likes of: downlodad this, put it here etc run this, then this etc Lets start from I have arma2 and a database thats it lol Thanks

  17. I would like a Private (Locked) dedicated server for the Clan I help run. Just like ShacTactical have now. Where can I get the needed files and access?
  18. I agree to a point. Removing the PVP will remove some of the tension, I think limiting PVP kills will work better. Somthing like a max of 3 Murders per player, 3 strike rule. This way you are forced to be selective of who you murder, No point in killing someone for a pistol when you have a shotgun. Punishment for breaking the 3 strike rule could be making all Zombies in 1k radius aware of the murderes position or just a Zombie swarm.
  19. The central server? theres the problem. Why is there a central server? What are thease mysterious external applications? You have released it to the comunity but witheld the means to enjoy it. Is it beyong us mere mortals to understand how the central server works? Are we unable to setup our own? Can we not by chance maybe have the nounce to manage to make our own central server and maybe understand the secrets of the EXE files? Dont get me wrong its a great mission and you have done an excelent job, but I got to ask what do you want? What are you hoping to achive? How much is this going to cust us in the end? Well i'm listening and so are many others Go ahead!!
  20. While the limited time I have spent on the available servers is more than great, I have to admit you have to let this bird fly. At the moment it is a caged beuty, with so many people wanting to see it, that the beuty is lost. Every server is packed and lagging when you join, If you have joined its constantly posts "yada yada is joining or leaving" so that any comunication via typing is worthless. Your not just onto a winner, You have redifined Arma itself, this mission is A1. The available servers are the problem! Why oh why dont you let the clans know how to setup a dedicated server?? I have read and understand how it works, So why not give the clans access to become part of the cloud or access to mother? This way you would have more servers and less lag???

    How did you manage to merge the stringtable.xml used with this and the stringtable.csv used by the MSO. When I put this in the MSO the two files clashed and stopped AI recruitment from working.
  24. Thanks for the quick reply? If the despawn does not effect persuing zombies does that mean they follow you accross the map if you are in a vehicle and not despawn no matter how far you get from them? I was thinking of editing a new mission with your very good scripts, and wanted random vehicles with random amount of fuel in them. Would this work with your scripts or as you drive would you pick up a train of Zombies as you drove threw each zone that would eventualy catch up with you?

I do have one question In the init file it states: ;At what range from a player zombies can spawn and despawn CLY_minspawndist=CLY_maxaggroradius+10 CLY_maxspawndist=500 CLY_despawndist=CLY_maxspawndist+50 CLY_chasegiveupdist=CLY_despawndist+100 unless i am having a dumb moment ( whitch is entirely possible ) CLY_despawndist=CLY_maxspawndist+50 which is 550m from player. CLY_chasegiveupdist=CLY_despawndist+100 which is 650m from player So zombies will despawn before they give up the chase? altering the last line to: CLY_chasegiveupdist=CLY_despawndist-50 would this make zombies give up chasing you at 500m and if altered would this effect the running of the mission?
