GROM64 replied to -=seany=-'s topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
Works for me and I'm always running latest betas. Only little problem i have, is that when i use (Del) key in the editor, it takes screenshot for me, and i didn't find a way to reassign FXAA control keys. -
Is there any solution to this ? AI getting totally stuck with handgun-animations http://dev-heaven.net/issues/3168 It's been there for 2 years now, i see.

Pbo Tools (PBOView & cpbo)
GROM64 replied to Darkguerilla's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
Hmm...' date=' check if your TC can write to it's temporary directory. That's where .bin content is temporarily unpacked, when you CTRL+PGDwn. It works fine on my end, as seen in the picture above. That config.cpp is a .bin -> CTRL+PGDwn What error do you get exactly ? Does .7zip plugin work for you ? Or you get errors also ? I'm trying to think what could be a cause of this. -
Great post +1

Pbo Tools (PBOView & cpbo)
GROM64 replied to Darkguerilla's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
I use this older plugin, for Total Commander file manager. It lets me look into .pbo and .bin really quickly, like any other directory, or archive. And with BI Tools 2.5.1 I open files inside just by clicking or entering them :) That's, how it looks: Plugin description: -
That's why, I'm going to introduce you to: GAM Clockfacing Report mod by Gamma It's awesome, and now, I just couldn't live without it. :D

After looking inside some .pbo, .bin and .hpp files from vanilla mods, I determined that it would be much better, if they were all made by one crew, ... for various reasons. I'm going ACE then :) Yesterday, I went through all 96 ACE features and... they're awesome Q1: Is there a switch for a aceclippy.exe, to minimize/send it to tray, at start ? I'm using a launcher, and was just wondering, no biggie :) Q2: Animated reticles, when turned on some acogs on m4 have no marks at all, when zoomed in. Is it a bug, or work in progress ?

ArmA 2 Game Launcher
GROM64 replied to SpiritedMachine's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : Community Made Utilities
I use this launcher since,... well,... long time, never had any problems with it. I'm alt-tab'n all the time, no problem. -
I've been trying to do just that, with: ARD_quick = 56+16; //for Alt+Q in userconfig/ard/ard.hpp but it didn't work, so what did I do wrong ? thanks. ----------------------------------------------------- EDIT: Ok, i found out, should be: ARD_quick = 16; ALT= 1; //for Alt+Q in userconfig/ard/ard.hpp EDIT2: nope, that didn't work either

Community driven Bug&Issue Tracker (CIT) for ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead and ARMA 2
GROM64 replied to Dwarden's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - BETA PATCH TESTING
Yes, my feelings are pretty much the same. It is generally depressing, to see: this amount of bugs and issues, in a game that has a potential. I, bought a game through steam some months ago. Then found out, that development is still ongoing, and product still suffers from many bugs and other issues. I decided to give it some time and come back later. I see progress, but not enough IMO. I understand BIS'es need, to finance further development through DLC's. But, it's like paying someone to paint my car, while it's the engine, that needs fixing. Hopefully BI's devs will take it seriously, before ArmA 3 is released. If not..., hopefully free market will. :) -

Do your developers know the meaning of beta testing?
GROM64 replied to fury211's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
@fury211 I'm going to lay it out for you, in simple terms. You just walked, into an evangelical church, ... and told everyone: there is no :jesus: What'd you expect :D -
You see, I have that ... OCD .. issue  Tbh, after all, the big issue was: what caused Arma2: OA to crash on start. It took me quite a while, to re-track, and find out.

I understand, but why @JayArma2lib folder has to be in main game directory, and can't be subdirectory of some MOD dir. after all is specified with mod=C:/GameDir/MOD/@JayArma2lib that I do not fully understand. I'm not trying to be picky, just asking. I thought about it, but decided against it, as my SSD space is really scarce. Instead, only mods/files that have the greatest hit on game performance, i'll move to SSD and link them back with mklink \j to my MOD folder on HDD. hmm.. I'll have to see how's that gonna work for me EDIT2: Anyway, thank you for your input.

GROM64 replied to Goos's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I've just seen new pictures on armaholic, looks great!!! downloading :) -
Hi, I'm not sure if it was stated or not, but just in case... I want to give heads up, about possible problem that was driving me nuts. Basically, if @JayArma2Lib folder is moved out of main game directory, even when properly added to: mod=SomeNewPath/@JayArma2Lib game crashes on start, without any explanation, apart from: "ArmA 2 OA has stopped working", and there is nothing in .RPT file as to what happened. I'm on win7 so my remedy was to run command: mklink /j ".\@JayArma2Lib" "Other disk:\MODS\@JayArma2Lib" in my game directory. I felt the need to move my mods out of my ssd, to other hdd, after installing SixUpdater
