Hey guys, I wanted to introduce myself and ask a few questions while i was at it.
Callsign or nick is "Qane", although I have been known as a few others throughout my gaming career, it has been pretty much the standby. While I am an avid gamer on PC's (and some consoles) for over 20 years, it was only recently that I came across Arma2.
I used to design mods for X2, X3, C&C Renegade, and several other games and Muds, and after discovering Arma I decided to get back into the swing of things (just spent a little over a month in the hospital, and have a TON of free time while recovering).
So far I have noticed a dedicated and fantastically talented fanbase, and I hope to contribute as well in the coming months.
I specialized mainly in modelling, and map making in the past, and I have some, albeit limited, experience with multiple scripting languages, J++ and C++.
Thanks for welcoming me into the community, and now for my question:
Is there currently and functional "XP" or rank tracking functionality within the engine?
I have seen the communities such as Shack-Tac, and the structure of such communities, and I was unsure as to which if it would be feasable or even possible to set up a working database to track a player's military career on a server and allow for an immersive RP envirionment in this aspect?
