    Arma3 - AGGRESSORS

    RHS Escalation is a huge download. One of the great things about Aggressors is it was light, a very small download. Some people want to keep the necessary mods to a minimum increasing the on-line playability with the community especially where internet bandwidth may be an issue. I think smaller is preferred in some cases. I have RHS Escalation myself, it is good quality.

    Thank you for your reply. I did not intend for my comments to be criticism but observation. I am grateful for the work that you are doing on this mod and I am very appreciative that you have taken on support for it.

    Hi, Thanks again with your work on the update. With the Communist forces, I'm surprised with the changes; the mod NVA have bandana and a mix of black top and Tiger Stripe pants, the Viet Cong have a uniform shirt with flag and some have helmets. If any thing that should be reversed. The Viet Cong were the guerrillas that blended with the population so they often wore civilian clothes which was often the famous black pajamas, the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) would have khaki or forest green military uniforms bush hats or helmets (pith helmet style). Both groups tended to mix and match uniforms with whatever they could find once in the war zone.

    Okay....well I've started making a couple missions already as well as a few from the previous version before you took over the mod. Any idea of when the update will be coming? I'd hate to invest too much time if I have to redo a bunch of things. In some cases I can use place holders for units but do you have an approximate release date for the next update? Sorry to ask but I've been enjoying the mod and really want to just make missions and play the mod.

    I am very glad to see work is continuing on this mod. I am a fan of Vietnam era ARMA. If I may make one request, I would like to see more work on the NVA & VC uniforms. NVA in Khaki or Olive uniforms and VC in a mix of black pajamas and one off military fatigues. I appreciate you have your own priorities in the mod and limited time and resources, I just wanted to put in a wish for a more authentic looking NVA/VC to shoot. thank you for the update.

    Originally the Aggressors Mod was quickly put together for the mod creator's own group of players but decided to share it with the community. It was understood at the time that it was hastily put together but had intended to polish the mod with more updates. I believe it was unexpected at how popular the mod would become. After some significant changes to the core game the mod maker became disenchanted but work continues and an upgrade is pending. I know it can be frustrating at times when things don't work but the mod worked very well before some of the BI upgrades. I have had many hours of enjoyment engaging the aggressors and for me there is nothing else to replace them yet. This is a free mod I'm just happy it was shared with the community. How many mods are out there that weren't shared simply because people know that once they put it up on Armaholic players will complain? I'm not saying that anyone has been complaining lately but sometimes people act like a free mod was bought and paid for and something is owed them.

    Thanks for your reply. The next thing is to go completely Vanilla Arma 3 with no mods or addons except AGM then test each mod until I find the one that seems to be causing the issue. Then I decide how important that mod is versus running AGM. I like the prospect of many of these enhancments so it will be a worthy endevor. Like I said only bCombat affects AI on my list and I really hope thats not the problem.

    Thanks for the response. I don't necessarily want to throw away the Command Menu' date=' I like pressing 3 for grenade launcher without having to sequence through the weapon key. If I do Disable Command Menu, Is there another way to bind just the Grenade Launcher to a key without getting into custom key bindings that you know of? ---------- Post added at 04:21 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:02 AM ---------- Gee I don't know. Despite turning off the Command Menu it is hit or miss if the friendly AI will actually follow you or not, its very frustrating. Based on the lack of controls available in the mod to control friendly AI squad mates, and the fact that they only obey orders 50% of the time, it seems to me that this mod is meant and is written for COOP play and not single player. For the second time I am disappointed that I can't use AGM for my style of play.

    Hi, I apologize if this has already been asked, this is a long thread to try to look through. I'm trying AGM again. I like the weapon mapping for the AGM_WeaponSelect module but now I can't access all the AI squad commands. I use copy my stance, go prone a lot for my AI team (because generally they are too stupid to take cover without being told). Can you tell me how to access those commands please?

    ACE 2 didn't just show up overnight, it evolved over time through several updates. ACE 2 evolved faster then ACE did but I assume that was because by the time ACE 2 came along the developers had a pretty good idea of what they wanted. The AGM mod will evolve with more features too since the AGM team have made it know that they plan to offer added features in time..
  16. The Ventral Position Backpack mod is an alternative I guess. How well does it work with AI units?
  17. When you say fully functional does that mean you keep your backpack and its load out? The original concept of this mod included a drop line for your backpack so when you hit the ground you have all your gear. Does it still function that way or is there a whole lot of scripting that is triggered by the "jump out" option that is missed here?

Hi theebu & Ohally, More and more Canadian mods showing up and a couple of them I like and use but only the CAF mod is has the full meal deal of realistic CadPat, Weapons, Armour and Helicopters. The CAF mod is the core of everything I do in Arma (has been since Arma2). The CAF_Aggressors are my favorite bad guys also. Any chance we'll see an update to these two excellent mods by Christmas?

  21. Wow a very interesting map. I like the improvements and changes from the Arma 2 version, keeps it fresh and interesting. I like the colours used in the forest areas and makes the CADPAT camo blend in nicely. :) You've always been one of my favorite map makers and I'm glad you have a release for Arma 3. thanks
  22. Just read a couple message before yours. Based on Ohally's answer to this question, You just need to be in a CC130 plane, when you jump the parachute is automatically in place and your backpack is tethered to you on a drop line. I myself can't get it working at the moment as I believe that the mod is looking for a specific model of C130 plane (the Canadian CC130).
  23. Well.....I don't know where to find the CC130 (Canadian variant), I have the EBU C130J and the Parachute Mod does not work as I have no option to eject.

    Arma3 - AGGRESSORS

    The mod is "Aggressors", its bad guys to shoot at. It is relatively simple to take the same model, disarm it and add it to the civilian faction, its entirely another matter creating new models. Basically the modders work with what BI has provided which means no women (because Arma 3 has no women) and no children. Some modders have added female faces but they are heads on male bodies, that only looks slightly weird since they are in military uniforms with tacvests but nothing in civilian clothes.
