  1. Just played the first few missions in both campaigns, So far with no issues. These campaigns are Awesome mate I really appreciate the High level of detail in the missions (intro's/cutscenes etc.) Looking forward to finishing these. Thanks again mate for the Hard Work I can tell these two campaigns must of taken a long time to develop.

    Awesome looking selection of mods there guys I just have one question, is this is just for stock Arma2 v1.07 or has it been tested for OA or combined operations as well? Thanks for the hard work and to all the individual mod makers!!

    Xfire Screenshots

    Hi mate, i'm not sure about Xfire, but if you grab FRAPS you can easily take screen-shots by default i think its the F10 key. You can grab FRAPS here http://www.fraps.com/. I use it and it works just fine hope that helps.
  6. Hi mate, thanks for the mission so far so good i haven't finished it yet, but have a suggestion for you for this mission and future reference. Besides this the mission has been great, thanks again for the mission and good luck with your future release as well I'll be looking forward to them :cool:.

    Zipper5's Missions

    Hi Zipper, just finished Preemptive strike and have some feedback. First off It's Awesome and all triggers and OPFOR seemed to be working great. There is a perfect balance of enemy numbers on the map for a 3 man delta squad, I really had to weigh my options in thinking about each contact I came across, engaging only what 3 guys could tackle and being patient and waiting for the bigger contacts to leave or find a way around them. Here are some details on what mods, difficulty etc. you might find helpful; Mods: Zeus AI, custom sound mod, shacktac HUD, Copy my stance 4, CBA Difficulty: Extreme The intro/outro were both very impressive, and the music during the mission was not distracting. The only suggestion i have is this All in all this looks like it going to be as good if not better than your previous campaign "Operation cobalt" and that is no small feat ;). Thanks mate and i look forward to the release.

Hi guys, I'd like to announce that I have started work on a SP campaign called Operation Takistani Freedom, below is a short description of the background story of the campaign, "NATO is closing the net around central Takistan and pushing closer towards seizing the the capital Zargabad to overthrow colonel Aziz the man currently in charge of the Takistani Army and head of government. In this last stretch of the allied campaign, NATO forces are preparing to launch Operation Takistani freedom, which initiates the last push through the mainland of Takistan and into Zargabad to topple the oppressive government." I have started this thread to gather feedback form the community about certain aspects of the campaign, first off here are some quick facts about the campaign in its current state; -SP only, some missions may be COOP friendly but as a whole it is going to be designed with single player in mind. -Approx 10 missions with a wide variety, there will be Armour based missions, Pilot based missions, special forces and Regular grunt missions. -So far I have no plans to use any REQUIRED Addons but may implement some optional weapon packs. -What will be required will be Arma2,Operation Arrowhead and the British armed forces pack. -No plans so far for voice acting. -Intro/outros, custom music and other presentation goodies will be present. What I would like from the community if they are interested is some feedback on these topics; -Would you like to see the Campaign made using ACE? -Would you prefer to have more or less Vehicle based/Special forces missions or would you prefer an entire "Grunt" based campaign? -Any other questions/feedback would be appreciated ;) Thanks in advance guys.
  10. @macScottie ATM I'm pretty certain the campaign will be non-ace, and I will take your 4 campaign theory under consideration.... that really got me thinking. As for the voice acting, i guess i will give it a shot and see how it goes. @Bardosy 1. At the moment I'm thinking of putting the player as a non-leader role following AI, just to convey the feeling of a large scale battle happening which you have no direct controll over. Although I might implement a mission or two with the player as leader and implement the HCM in those missions. 2.Each mission will center around a particular character you play, but I will allow the player to switch to other units in the squad if thats what you mean. BTW as a general update I'm still in the planning /design stage trying to set a good mission structure and finding good locations, so I'm still open for suggestions/feedback Thanks again.
  11. @bardosy Thanks for the feedback, I have my campaigns mission layout already planned out and as it stands I am currently planning 4x Grunt style missions 2x SF missions (In a more realistic fashion as described by you, it wont be a 4 guys versus the entire taki army missions) 2x Armour based Missions 2x Pilot based missions I could go into more detail but don't won't to spoil the plot, these are subject to change thought depending on the feedback and suggestions. Also at the moment I have NO plans to use ace or any other required mods Regarding Voice acting although I am a native English speaker I have a pretty strong Australian Accent thats why I'm not doing it my self doing it myself. Thanks again mate, And I'll keep updating this thread as I progress with the campaign (BTW I'm eagerly awaiting you're campaign... good luck). @Wiggum thanks for the feedback I already have plans to implement German and CZ missions along with the British and the US. Because my story is not a "through the eyes of one soldier" style almost every mission will have you playing a different role and/or faction. Also I will defiantly keep you in mind as a beta tester thanks a bunch!!

    [CAMP] Chesty Puller

    I've just finished playing the first 4 missions, EXCELLENT so far mate I haven't had any major issues to report and all the triggers and friendly AI seem to be working spot on!. I cant wait to play the finished product. BTW I cant play this campaign using the last 2 BETA patches, it gives me an error when i enter the campaign screen saying "no enty campaigns\oaamycamp\description.ext.compaign" Just thought you might want to know ;) thanks mate!.

    Call Of Namalsk - SP Mini-Campaign

    Excellent mission wiggum very impressive, I don't usually play these zombie type missions in arma but I'm a fan of your work so I gave it a shot and I'm glad I did it was awesome. I'm looking forward to the rest of the missions come out. Buy the way I don't think you should sell yourself short and call this a "mini" campaign, When people put as much effort into their missions as you and That Guy do its a question of quality over quantity.. as a fellow mission maker I know how much time energy and creativity it takes to create missions. Now for some feedback to hopefully lend a hand in this awesome campaign. Pros- * Atmosphere is terrific great use of fog and with no moonlight, the extra darkness works very well together with the music and Ambient sounds. * Story seems very well thought out and it's genuinely intriguing * Self healing is a feature I have always liked, (especially in missions when your alone) *Zombie dogs, and humans were awesome and not over he top. *Enemy numbers were spot on, giving me a chance to soak up the atmosphere with enough action to keep me from getting bored. Suggestions - * the pp filter you have used was a little too green for my personal taste maybe toning it down would still give that "cold" effect without being so rich. * some of the notes had some grammatical errors (understandable of course if English isn't you're first language) perhaps I could help proof read you're content and help with the translation to English? PM me if you would like my help. Looking forward to the "Full Campaign ;) " to be released and any other ones you might be working on. I hope you find the feedback useful.

    First off thanks a bunch and I'm glad your enjoying it. secondly since OA introduced NV scopes and TWS scopes you are no longer able to simply turn on your NVG and have it still on when looking through a scope (sorry :() If you want to though you could simply pick the M110 with the NV scope, or use the TWS version, I have a bunch of weapons to choose from at the briefing menu before you start the mission. Anyways hope you enjoy it and thanks again.:cool:

    British Troops DLC released & Official 1.01 Update

    Can anyone confirm or deny the possibility of this pack featuring the SAS units or are the only units going to to be the infantry. I think it would be silly for them to not include the SAS.... so anyone care to comment?

    [SP/COOP2] Operation Cold Bore

    Actually I was waiting to see if anyone was interested in this mission having a non ACE version, I'll tell you what if I get another 2 people asking for a Vanilla version then I will abide ;). The reason I chose to use ace with this mission is mainly for the fact that BI m107 only zeros to 1200m and there aren't that many sniper rifles (and lets not forget the bi-pod support), although there are other reasons that's the main one I just believe it's a better platform for a "sniping "mission. I play it mission by mission, and will continue releasing missions that are dependent on nothing, some dependent on ACE and other addons although I'll always try to keep it to no more than 3 Addons (We have to support our addon makers). So if anyone else wants to see a Non-Ace version let me know, And thanks again guys for the feedback everyone.

    No worries mate will update this mission sometime this week, I'll add more weapons for the spotter M4's and Scar's and there are a couple other things I'm going to add/change. About the Save issue I'll have a look into this for you ...     Thanks guys, glad to see the mission is working as planned. Also thanks for the positive feedback I'll continue making missions and releasing them as long as people provide feedback.... I bet all other mission makers and modders think the same :cool:. The mission is very dynamic and there are more than 200 enemy units on the map not including around 6 UAZ's the snipers and the choppers. Sometimes when i play this mission i see hardly anyone like you did and other times there can be much heavier resistance . It depends which spawn you get and which route you take. But ill keep in mind adding more enemy snipers.. ;). Thanks again and I'm Glad you enjoyed it.

  22. Hi Guys, I'm releasing my first SP mission "Operation Skalisty". This is a small single player mission (that should work in Co op as all your 4 of your teammates are set as playable). You play a Delta force team leader on a mission to locate and seize some Russian Scuds just of the coast of Chernarus on Skalisty Island. this mission requires Arma2 And Arma:OA although it requires no other addons... that being said I highly recommend using Zeus AI Combat Skills & AI Spotting modular by Protegimus which is a must have mod for myself personally. My mission features the following; -No Addons Required -Full Detailed briefing -task hints -less enemy's when playing on recruit -features to add to its presentation intro/outro scripts -Debriefing -custom PPeffect filters and effects -random enemy patrols -save via radio -a few more surprises It should only take around an hour or so maybe less, so bear that in mind. Credits and Thanks Mission tested and created by myself only so I would GREATLY appreciate any feedback (the good, bad and the ugly) As I'm only a beginner hopefully I'll improve and bring you guys better missions :D. Also a thank you to all those who post on the editing threads they REALLY help people like me. And for this mission in particular borrowed some code from BI missions and others as well (I made a note in all my scripts naming the rightful owners, I figure its only fair)So thank you to BI for their awesome games and the Arma community. If i missed anyone please let me know. This will be the final version unless I get feedback requesting something major or there is a game breaking bug, I'm currently working on my next mission another singleplayer/coop on Takistan keep a lookout for it!!.     Try using the flashlight on your glock if you need light that's what I did, there was a glock on the table where you pick up your bow. Great Campaign so far mate , very nice presentation although I might also agree its very difficult so far (I'm on the second mission). But that might have been what you were going for, If so mission accomplished. Thanks a bunch mate :cool:.

    RH M14 pack 1.0 for OA / CO

    Oh well that's a shame, not a problem though mate there still awesome, my personal favorite is the old school M14 Iron-sights *drools*.
