One thing Ive noticed is some online games have a later version needed to get into them. Is this Beta Gaming? Cause Steam tells me I have latest installed. Als what is "Ace"? I have experience in other FPS and flight games but every time I get started with ARMA I end up giving up. All the keymapping, which to choose, setting up controllers, learning the game, kinda overwhelms me. Now with 3 approaching I kinda like to give it another try. Any squads recruiting that would like to help a mature 54yo along, and end up getting a valued member? Thank you.

Yeah the one is left ALT and the toggle is Num/*. Neither work.

Whats the keymap for turning off mouse look so you only look with your Track IR? I keep trying the freelook commands but its not working. Thank you.

Not a good game. Not a game ready for release. Pretty much appears to me one last ditch effort to hose $$ off the ARMA 2 engine before #3 comes out. The sooner they start selling the sooner they start making money, and the consumer doesnt count for much. That seems to be the current mindset for game developers.

I cant find any training material on this game, as in "how to play it and set it up". Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Thanks for the replys and the help fellas. I guess I'll get it, tho it will take time. This is such a wonderfully immersive game however, and as such its rather complicated.

Im not inexperienced with war games but Im a little overwhelmed with this one. Its the little things, like keymapping, how to join battles, how to get up to speed quickly. Any advice would be appreciated. The game looks terrific but its a little intimidating to a noob. TY.
