    Logitech G35 headphones + Arma?

Interesting... I had the same results as you when I first got the G35. Great sound and loved it. Then some weeks later it started having issues with ARMA2 and TeamSpeak. Now enabeling it sometime it works for a day or two then boom.! Arma and TeamSpeak don't work with it. Since I am active with lots of additional software on my system and trying new things my issue could be related to some other software interaction. I run around 50 different application on my system. Keep us posted if the G35 continues to work. Do you load other software or have software the get update very often?
  2. Tks Vixente, I get this also. I thought you were talking about detection that indicated which game for the sound. Some indicator that was game specific.
  3. Tks Vixent - I started OA and again it shows in Task Manager as running but does not start (no OA display and OA task at bottom of the screen bar disappears). I then added the -openal to my short cut properties and to my surprise OA start displaying and working. I did not restart OA, it was running in the task manager, just no display or task showing on windows. It just started running. I have closed it down several times are restarted it and it is working. However I report back later. This has happened several times where it OA runs fine for a day. Then the next day it will not start with G35 running. I have reboot windows7 with the G35 not plugged-in and not use it to get OA to run. If I plug-in G25 then try to start OA it does not run (as described above). Again I will have to reboot the system without G35 to get OA to run, not using G35 headset. I don't understand your comment "... surround source and it displays in the sound panel" What sound panel? Windows control panel sound? Under my G35 software I only have a G35 configure program. FYI - I run OA mostly in windowed mode and I am using the latest OA beta "C:\Program Files (x86)\ArmA 2 OA\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" -mod=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash -window -winxp -openal
  4. I have nothing but problems trying to use my G35 headset with Arma2 OA. It loads but no display and I just see Arma2 running in the task manager. I am running Windows7 64bit ===================================================================== == C:\Program Files (x86)\ArmA 2 OA\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe == "C:\Program Files (x86)\ArmA 2 OA\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" -mod=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash -window -winxp ===================================================================== Exe timestamp: 2010/08/09 13:25:46 Current time: 2010/08/15 01:00:19 Item str_disp_server_control listed twice Cannot register unknown string STR_DISP_LEFT Updating base class ->RscText, by ca\ui\config.bin/RscSplashText/

    Logitech G35 headphones + Arma?

I had lots of issues with the G35. Sounds great when working but with Arma2 would not work, Arma2 crashed etc, unless I booted my system without G35 hooked up. After windows running then I plugged in the USB and mostly ran but sometimes not. Now with Arma2 OA it will not run at all. Arma2 OA will not load. Just shows up in the task manager. I am using Windows 7 64bit
  6. I looking at doing a mod similar to Deadfast's Third Person View http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=10437 I have looked the script and it looks like it could be modified to make it a multiuser server/mission mod where the server admin adjusts the 3rd person view settings for everyone. One setting for all. And can disable firing in 3rd person and/or disable the gun recital. I haven't been able to locate script commands for turning on/off the gun recital or to disable firing guns. ***************** Many love 3rd person view and many hate it. There is no convincing anyone to change their love or hate for 3rd Person. It is a personal preference. Most of the discussions I here are regarding the person view in "3rd person view" and not the vehicles view. The biggest complaints I here are (1) you can see to much (like looking over fences) and (2) you can fire from this view (hide in tall grass and still shoot with an unfair view). What I like to see is the next version of Arma 2 or a mod is support for an easy server or mission settings or mod to adjust different settings on 3rd person view. 1) Enabling the setting of the x,y,z to adjust the 3rd person view 2) The gun recital to be on or off 3) To disable firing in 3rd person view. I have look over mod scripts to do item (1), the 3rd person view adjustment, however nice to have them settable in the server or in a mission parameter setting. I think these type of adjustment would allow a server admin to adjust 3rd person view to satisfy 80-90% of there players. Now the server has to be set to to enable or disable, thus making 1/2 of their players happy while making the other 1/2 unhappy. Or they have to add mods to the mission packs to make finer adjustment to try and make a greater percentage happy. Can anyone help suggest scripting to create a mod that will allow for all three? Thanks for any coding suggestions

    3rd person versus Egoshootermode

Many love 3rd person and many hate it. There is no convincing anyone to change their mind. It is a personal preference. Most of the discussions I here are mostly in regard to person "3rd person view" not the vehicles "3rd person view". The biggest cheat complaint I here is (1) you can see to much and (2) you can fire from this view. What I like to see is the next version of Arma 2 is support for easy server or mission settings(in a mission file) to adjust different settings on 3rd person view. Enabling setting of the x,y,z to adjust the 3rd person view, gun recital on or off and enable or disable firing in 3rd person view. All of these can be done in existing mods but it would be nice to have them settable in the server or in a mission parameter setting.
