  1. My understanding from Gigan is that he is making an entirely new version that will replace Gcam 1 & 2. Since the OA 1.60 update Gcam has not been functioning properly in certain situations. So the new version will replace version 2 that you are using.
  2. I noticed the stuttering too. I sent Gigan a message via Youtube and says he is working on a new version of Gcam.
  3. YgEG4nEPbLk&hd=1 ***Please note - this is a 3D Machinima that you will have to watch on Youtube in order to access the 3D viewing options in the menu bar below the video.*** As far as I know this is the first Arma 2 machinima style video shot entirely in 3D format. I have seen some short anaglyph 3d videos before but nothing that takes advantage of Youtube's 3D viewing functionality(I may have missed one though). This video can be watched in MULTIPLE 3D formats OR you can TURN 3D OFF and watch the video normally like any other video by clicking on the red 3D in the option bar below the video.(this is why you will need to watch it on Youtube or my website www.3dhighlightreel.com) Two gutsy A-10 pilots scream through the mountains of Panthera, risking their lives to stop a madman from launching Scud missiles into a populated city. Watch in HD and dont miss some cool stuff in the credits. I intended on releasing this video alot sooner but ran into some issues with my graphics card and the driver I am using to shoot in 3D. The driver author was excellent and found a workaround for me so that I could continue with the project. You will see several videos of Arma 2 in 3D shortly after this including some vehicle, island, and addon showcases. Thanks for watching dcal

    Youtube and video right :

I am also very curious to find out if BIS can change their official postion on this. I beleive this involves Youtubes option for video uploaders to participate in add revenue for the uploader's videos. The problem with the concept is that the restrictions are so rediculous that hardly anyone can participate. The main restriction that frustrtates anyone who wants to promote Arma via videos on our YT channels is that "Video Game" footage cant be shown in your clip without permission and the EULA for BI wont allow it. So, in short, if you make Arma 2 machinima, clan videos, battle montages using Arma 2 you cant monetize your videos. If I may kindly speak something to BIS. So many of us dedicated Arma 2 players found out about Arma through Youtube. I know I personally purchased Arma 2 after seeing battle clips and machinima from particular users like Richiespeed and Lito. Their videos are THE reason I purchased and also why I made my videos which have in turn garnered attention. Why can't a little add revenue, paid by Youtube, be permissable for the people that spend time to promote your game? How many people may have purchased because of what we upload and make? I know the EULA says we can't be paid from videos we upload but can this be changed? Is it really out of the question for Youtubes simple ad partnership method to be taken advantage of by people dedicated to promoting your product? Sorry for the wall of text, I love the game, please take this a genuine query from a Arma loyalist and not a complaint....just dont see why the restriction when the benefit to both the user and BI is obvious. I actually have put on hold my machinima making for now becuase I cant justify the time put in with nothing to show for it aside from the views and comment asking for more to be made. Thanks to darkiron for bringing this up, I was planning on doing this as well. -dcal
  18. Congratulations on the release Martin! I want to thank you for all the hard work you put into this. Downloading now and ready to explore and do battle on this great island you made. Thanks to everyone who helped as well. The Arma community is amazing. It is the game that keeps on giving because of you guys.
  19. I have recently purchased an HIS Radeon 6950 2GB ICEQ Turbo for more power to run the 3rd party 3D driver by Tridef. Every game works fine exept Arma 2. The problem I am having is only in game and does not effect the menus, just when rendering of scenes and gameplay happen. I am posting here as a last attempt to figure it before I return the card. I have had extensive contact with Tri-Def and they have no clue what is causing it. My hope is it is a setting I am missing. Here is a video of my problem, which appears to be a lighting bug that only happens with 3D texture Copy on(tri def driver) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMEOGsxZDek Things I have tried: Uninstalling everything and re-installing - game, 3D driver, video driver Ingame stettings for brightness/contrast have no effect on bug Messed around in the Arma2.cfg to no avail Disable and even removed all mods from the mod folder The only thing I can think of is returning my card for a different one, but only Arma 2 has this problem, so if you guys can think of anything else to try, your help is appreciated. Thanks - Arma rules dcal
  20. Solved - It turns out there was a memory problem with the card that only surfaced with a particular setting of Tr-Def's driver. I slapped in a backup card and it worked fine. Sending the other card back.
