I have the same problem. This comes up from time to time. Sometimes I can play two or three hours and then suddenly a frozen screen and the mouse arrow. In the taskmanager you find arma.exe but it is not possible to switch back to the game. I use Windows7 64 bit with 4GB Ram and an ATI Radeon HD5780 graphic card. My processor is an Intel i7 860. I hope there is someone who could help us.
