ZKs -=LOST SP=- Single Player Survival Mission (With Optional Base Building)
jokerl90 replied to zonekiller's topic in ARMA 3 - USER MISSIONS
Is there any way to disable the missions? "destroy the tank" mission, I hit it from the rear with 3 rpg's and 2 HE rpg's and it still went active. How about disable the roaming helo's? I found how to add more time to the missions, but I would like to disable them. Thanks- 96 replies

Thanks rsoftokz for the time you put into this. Looking forward to your next creation! I made my own little Roads type mission using Ravage and the editor. I can be made as simple or complicated as you want.

I'm having a problem with my character hunching over to the ground and no cross hair, not being able to use sights on weapon. Just started playing with Ravage and Roads is exactly the kind of mission I like to play. I have searched the Ravage thread using "bugs" as a search term, looked through the eight pages on this thread with no luck. Anyone know whats happening with this?

The large storage box at the hideouts will re-arm vehicle ammo. Also will re-arm static weapons.

Something I have found that has not been spoken of, there is a place you can re-arm vehicle ammo. Not sure if I should say, Rydygier might take it away! hahahaha

Loving this mission! Have played nothing else since finding it a couple of weeks ago. I loved Tonic's Wasteland, I will catch myself thinking in a Wasteland mindset, looking for good hiding places and so on. Duh lol. Played with default settings until a helo made me it's "special project" lol The thing would not leave me alone. I stumbled into a firefight with probably a 7 or 8 man squad in a small town. Killed 4 or 5, the helo showed up, then left. I lingered around the town, checking gear, etc. The helo came back and would not leave. It was just flying around till I looked at it through the scope of my rifle, then it began attacking me. I found a rocket launcher, and I swear, it teased me into shooting at it, just hovering close in front of me. I shot, missed, died... lol. I left my vehicle behind, sneaking away, the helo seemed to sense where I was at. Away from the town (icons did not show till I got close) I found a couple of surrendered AI's. Maybe I missed one, and that's why the helo stayed around. Helo's are now turned off in settings... Tried "underwear mode" with "realistic loot". Doing it Wasteland Style! hahaha. At a large base found lots of equipment, including drivers coveralls, civvies clothing, and military fatigues. Game would not let me wear them. Gave up on that mission. A mobile artillery piece did come driving by while I was at the base. First time for that. Playing now with "easy" difficulty, Since he is PMC, I'm thinking he would come to the island well prepared. Loot is set at "realistic", I don't think you would find military equipment scattered around in civilian houses. In the Wasteland Missions, there is a "survival/health" system where you have to find food and water to stay healthy. Something like that might be good for this mission, could be too much work to apply it to this one though. Don't remember seeing this already discussed. This is really a great mission as it is, thanks for making it!!!!

The problem with icons is being able to hide from someone you don't know or trust.. Imagine the team killing if everyone on any given side had a little "light bulb" over their head for players on his side to see! As for team killing, if possible, make a "forgive system". After some number of team kills with out being forgiven player gets kicked. It seems that "going rogue" has went out of favor lately. Civ's kill anyone they come across unless on team speak or side chat. How about this; opfor kill opfor = kick blufor the same as above blufor kill opfor or vise versa / WIN!!!! Civ kill or be killed by anybody. Last night on tonic's server there was a rash of killing and weapon stealing at the gun stores. Luckily a admin showed up and the offenders got themselves a swift little kick. Also someone was laying land mines all over the place. Internet gaming is full to the brim with jerks who don't know or care about following any rules. As this mission get more popular it may get much worse. With some people, the only way to get them to follow rules is to cram them down their throat. At Dev Heaven it was suggested to do away with the gun stores. That may be a good plan but I don't look forward to a night without NVG's. Anyone who has them will be godlike in their ability to own anyone who doesn't. One last thing, I heard a ridiculous story of some guy, maybe in a priests skin, riding around the server on the hood of a vehicle....dancing. I know that can't be true. ;) Edit 09-19-12 I'm done. Too bad a great mission has to be ruined by roaming AI at the gun stores. (where players are not allowed to fire)

Does the user/client computer have to download and install any mod files, or will he get everything from the dedicated server when he connects to it? -
I use left and right scroll for freelook and 3rd person view.

From watching some video's, the commands I was looking at are normally greyed out. The "move there" command is what I was missing. I had messed it up while remapping my keyboard. Set the controls to default and was more careful about changing keys fixed things.

Never mind, problem solved.
