  1. Looking for an organised co-op squad that uses real world tactics to complete the mission but who also enjoy a lot of good banter in the process, with no yes so no sir bollocks inbetween? New Information It’s common knowledge that recently our old leader Smuke left the clan for personal reasons. With this taken into account I took up the role of clan leader for our organization. I have served with this clan since near the beginning and am skilled in the leadership of platoon sized operations. It is my hope that any old ties to clans and or organisations may either be resumed. However any organisations that have any form of vendetta against my unit, I should like to ask that they also contact me. You will find that Royal British Commandos as a unit has changed a lot in the last two weeks. Additionally the clan’s section roles have changed. One section is now classed as our front line infantry unit. Two section are our Mechanized Unit. In continuation with this three section are our Para/Recon unit. However RBC continues to look into the future and see growth and change. For that reason i am declaring plans to open a full pledged recon section. Please forward any interest to me via pm, clan site application and or Xfire message. About us We formed in at first under the successful name of Teamwork Comes First, but after a major group rethink we decided to adopt the light realism role, and the Royal British Commando’s were born. We are a British based co-op (hence the name) group. We use the tactics we’ve learnt to have a fun, but yet very enjoyable mission. We are not a strict realism unit, no yes sir no sir bollocks, we use the tactics and then “freshen†them up for use in ArmA2. We put our emphasis on teamwork and organisation so our members can get the most out of this great game, we feel that the game should be taken with a sensible approach, but sometimes you can kick back and relax, and we feel we have blended these two ideals into our group. We love our banter (Just ask our members). We have lots of random enjoyable events/moments on TS. So we advise you prepare for some piss taking when you join! What makes us different from the other units? We are a very active group, a mission going everyday if not more. We are also a bit more relaxed, we don’t ask for call signs on every mission, we don’t bother with the ranking structure unless it’s a official mission, we decided upon this because we like to give people a chance to try other roles in the unit, not just “Grenadier†and “Pilotâ€. You get to choose if you’d like to fly or be infantry for official missions, this stops people who can’t fly spoiling the role mission by getting the infantry sections killed. We have a whole Infantry Platoon (HQ + 3 Sections) and the Special Forces Group. Additionally we have an attachment of the RAF assigned to our unit. They fly all our air missions. We don’t class ourselves as a role-play group, we believe that’s a bit childish, we like structure to our game and the light realism route offers us that. We like to think we are a professional organisation. We also hold lots of training, from PCC (Potential Commando Course-fictional name) to anti-ambush drills training. You will learn a lot from your time with us and can enjoy a great mission with lots of tactics and killing to be had. Some general points to take into account: -No membership fees -16+ Please. -Must be able to play in the area of 1900GMT-2100GMT on weekends thursdays. -Must be willing to follow orders and not piss about on operations. We love an enthusiasm for not just the game, but for the learning new things. We are not strict on time requirements; we just want to know that you can play with us if you are available! -We offer you the chance to play as a standard infantier, a pilot, a FAC and many other roles. Frequently Asked Questions Am I forced to donate to the server costs? Not not at all, however we do require membership donations to survive and keep running, however we do not force members to commit themselves financially. What type of training do you run? What is it like? We run training once a week, you will usually find yourself in Section Training, with members of your Rifle Section. However we have adopted a tier system of training, so you can progress through, and enjoy Leadership Courses or OIBUA Training. 95% of our training comes from real British Army tactics and doctrines, taught be ex/serving members of their respective nations forces. How many members do you have? Our roster is usually floating around the 40 mark, excluding reservists and people who have gone AWOL. We always reach 20+ for Sunday missions and just below for midweek missions and training. How would you describe your gameplay? We are a Co-op based group (Which means we play with each other against AI) and play well structured and well scripted missions against AI to get missions as realistic as possible, and as enjoyable as possible. We also combine on occasion with other groups for joint operations for a more enriching experience. We do not officially play PvP. What are your requirements? We ask that you are above the age of 15, for some of the language used and images shown are not that appropriate for parents to be seeing on their child's computer, or hear coming out of their speakers in late evenings. We also ask you have XFire and Teamspeak, and a working copy of ArmA2. If this is what your looking for, please contact us.
