  1. I havend got a lot of XP with sound volumes but the wiki class cfgsounds has a link to a tutorial that might help

    sadly not :( i don't have a problem to make the sound to work i only have a problem with the loudness of the sound in game ....

    i seem not to be able to make it sound like it has to, i tryed to mess a little with the ptich valleu but it does not work, from the moment i try to do that and i reload then the pitch sound totally static like very high peeks if i put it back to normal and i go out and reload again the sound is back but to soft ...

    i followed this guide thats how i made the sound to work in game together with a youtube video and the provided description.ext file http://www.filefront.com/thankyou.php?f=14551259...

    but like i said the sound is sounding to soft ingame when i load it up and the trigger hits then it is yeah almost not hearable when you are in a shopper, when you on a silent place you hear the sound but its not like you use a pre loaded ingame music ....


  2. i might need some help on a custom music issue.

    i looked really every were, googled on the issue looked at the search box here and on armaholic and all the info i find points out that im doing it like i have to do, i even tryed to follow an step by step guide on youtube ...

    so far i made it work to make a good environment to play on, for the insertion i use a heli. i try to put in custom music on that insertion, if that works out i might try to put in some voice acting, so far i managed to make the custom music to work.

    the only thing that is weird is that the custom music is really low when im in the flying shopper i hardly hear the music. the odd thing is when i use the pre made in game music it sounds like it needs to sound!

    If i use the custom music in a silent environment then you hear it but really soft.

    this is the code i use in the description.ext

    maybe I'm doing something wrong but i really don't know what I'm doing wrong, i use audacity as a converter tool for editing the sounds i played around a little with the frequency but that does not help aether :( thanks for any help in advance..

    Play around with the description.ext db settings to make it sound real.

    found my answer on a little thread http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=60107&highlight=make+Custom+music+sound+louder%3F ....

    the problem was idd on the DB mather in the description.ext

    sound[] = {\sound\song1.ogg, 1, 1.0}; (i changed it to)

    sound[] = {\sound\song1.ogg, 1, 20.0};

    and now it is clear to hear the sound like it is needed to ( or it at least was its tarting to get anoying on)

    i made it work and now it does not work anymore i only get static noises now like the pieks are to high :(

  4. i'm trying to figure out my first single player mission.

    I don't want to give away to much information, so i won't spoil the total id in the end.

    on first sight i want to make a mission as a pre tryout on a campaign that i have in mind, this mission will be the first mission of that campaign the id is to use not to many addons, but there will be requirements

    1: the total RH weapon pack

    2: massi's delta operatives

    3: simple flashlight addon (the units will be striped of there NVG's)

    first the id was to make a total horror scene, it came when i saw the simple zombie action mission from wiggum in the end i decided that i want to keep it a little more realistically.

    althoug i want to keep somehow the same enviorment in tact, like the dark foggy thing in that mission i like that.

    so far i managed to make a raw layout on the mission, the units are at start in a shopper and insertion by heli works, i also managed to make the shopper land where i wanted, the players team units has a total custom weapon layout based on the RH weapon pack.

    first sequence of the mission will be where i use the convoy script so far i managed to make that one work to, and i made it so that you have Les then 7 minutes to deploy your team place mines satchels and await the convoy to destroy it.

    thats all what i want to realease for information because, it is so that this will not be the goal off the mission the plot will turn from the moment you destroy the convoy but thats just the thing i'm stuck there....

    if someone with a little more scripting experience has a little bit of spare time contact me on PM i will give you the full story on the id that i have, and maybe skyping to talk this one over, in the mean while i want to learn a bit on how to do things ;-)

  5. Yes, it is clean. The island textures need work for sure. The deck is meant to be clean. Considering the real thing doesn't even exist yet, it has to be newer than new. The Nimitz's deck however is plenty filthy.

    don't get me wrong i like the concept but the collers just does not feel right for me, if i walk on a carrier i want to see like it is used thats how the addon will be used like it is in service, i mean well its just in a hectic war situation where plains land and take off all the time? sure the deck has to be clean for take off and landing otherwise a bolt could be sucked in the engines :j:

    but i looked up some photo's on several carriers and even the ones comming out of the dock yard of the production did not shine like this.

    i think overal it is to bright the grey on the sides needs to be darker, i dont see layers on the romp eather the deck hmmm i don't know for sure but i thought this was the carrier your aiming at this textures would do just fine.

  6. hes doing a nice job here, this is i great pease of work, i even like the textures of the woman pilots better then the original of bis. the only thing is now that they don't mix with the male pilots of bis so maybe he can put in a male retextured on :s its kinda dull when this in fact a woman addon but well i don't think it would be realistical all the time to put only woman crew to the shoppers :D :cool: ....


  7. does anyone else having problems with the faces? i thought maybe I'm doing something wrong but the faces don't load up.

    updated and all i run the Ace II stable oa version, @ Schnaps if the faces are working this is a great addon and it can give some realistic nature on the front line, because there are woman out there that are also fighting.

    a other thing is, i would like to see more variation in them helmets? where are the helmets :p they need to put them also on you know when they are on patrol ^^

    different load outs would be nice to rifle soldiers medics assault even officers they do exist so why not bring this one a step further ;-)

    good concept work it out a bit more and it will be perfect for a lot of scenarios it already is ....

    the thing is that i'm interested to do it my self, sadly i don't have the time to put mi time in learning it, hek even if i have the addon

    and i can start on the campaign i will need several people to work with to put it in work to split the time up a bit otherwise it would

    take ages before you see the campaign.

    id's are nice but sometimes its not only the experiance thats standing in the way, for making addons thats a fact sadly

    enough, but i took the time to learn about mission making etc because thats where the most of my interest lies..

    great addon. togather with the OA SUV you can make a few nice scenarios.

    yeah they might have changed there name to Xe, but i don't know if they put up some bounderies in refering to them in a spesific way i don't mind that the addon maker would call them blackwater pmc or something but i don't want afterwourds trouble from him and i for using them, if you know what i mean ;-)

    the thing is i know the BB units are there and the MG4 units but they are not the thing i look for, the bb units are looking for so many ways good but for my id they are looking way to much to the SF of the regular Arma II and thats what i don't want

    i want them to pretty close as above ;-) neather the MG4 or the BB units looks like this guy's so they would not give the fealing like i want them to in the campaign i want to make, do you remember the PMC from OFP?

    I know they look nothing like arma II but thats the id i have in mind, but if you look at these guys and then to the OA delta forces then we might come pretty close to what i have in mind.

    I wan't in this pack Random soldiers from all country's i don't want them to be refered to a spesific country -> I wan't western, Eastern american, european, arabs, shinese, japanese, african men and woman, this in desert and woodland gear.

    I want them to be armed standard with the RH weapon stock ...

    I would like to see this in ArmA because ....

    I wan't to make a campaign with unrefered soldiers on the bleufor and opfor side, not only that they are part of military evolvement!

    I don't want them to wear spesific army collors i more refer to the following information you can randomise it as you wich as long if they don't wear the same tags they need to be untagged so the units are useble in any condition.

    If you want to make them don't refer on them in any way to blackwater company keep this clean ;-)

    Edit: I was already rooted once to MG4 PMC

    Thats not the thing i need ;-) i wan't them to look like these guy's and a little more spesific then the mg4 squad ...

    I need cars -> tactical

    Light Armor -> tactical

    Air -> like you see them on the video maybe also a little bird and a black hawk

    Units -> like you see them above.

    i want them to be in one sollid pack i don't need birds in that mod folder and units in a other, weapons there and so on this is totally a different request then the mq4 squad they are way out of the context that i wan't them.

    MG4 is looking a bit to fiuturistic for what i wan't -> i want them a little more like stated above *YES*

  11. I while back i found here an music mod that added costumised music in the edditor but i lost it some where, can someone point me out to it?

    or even enlight me again how i make one? i know it has to go in OGG and i have the tools for it but i dont know anymore how to put it to work.

    I used that little addon as a example but :(

    nvm -> found it on my laptop ^^ i knew i never trow anything away :p but its an addon for ofp so i gonna try to convert it for Arma II + OA ^^


  12. Well i have many reasons to play bis

    Operation flashpoint cold war crisis was the start of it When i got my self a new rig I went to buy ARMA II and now im waiting on the release of arrowhead here in belgium, I never played army you can't buy that game anymore here in belgium in the store :o i looked everywhere, and i don't have paypall so :s yeah

    Although my RL giving me a few hits against my RL head, i'm missing to play with my buddy's on the server i might even asked for reserve list because i don't find the time, but if i ever can take off again where i left off with this game i will do that in a instant, i might not find the time now to

    play the new stand allone expantion but i will buy it in advance and it will never delete the content of my pc.


  13. Thanks for playin bro, but you need to pay attention to detail. If you are using Ace, then you need TF86 V1.0 found on the link in the ST64 thread. If you are not, use V1.1 TF86 Seals.

    Hey sick1 i want to say the same like the guy before i love all the former work and i still do and now i'm bumping on the same stuff like the guy before

    the strangest thing is that i paid attention to the download 1.0 - 1.1 but it is still giving me the same error like always i gonna try this evening again to see if i dint mixed up the 2 installations

    i'm using the six 4 Ace RH weapon pack and i deleted the former installation to make sure it would not mix up and i used the direct link provided on armaholic for the TF86 units, but i look in to it again thes eve ;-) and try again because I WANT TO PLAY your campaign :bounce3:

    So like i was realy sure i picked the right TF units to install i have the right ones - TF86 Navy SEALs Pack v1.0 (direct link) form your post on armaholic and all the other stuff and i keep getting the Ard_MCP_INF1_ACE error so i'm out of options i tryed with a direct shortcut i tryed with my arma II launcher if i use a direct shortcut on dectop the campaign freezes the game if i use the Arma II launcher it starts the opening scene and then loops over and over when i press ok after getting Ard_MCP_INF1_ACE, so sadly somehing isnt working for me :s


  14. You currently have override Action set to "Process Userconfigs", i'd first change that to "Install or Update" or "Install or Update, and startgame".

    Please double check and clean your virtual store: http://six.dev-heaven.net/wagn/Six_Updater_Suite+FAQ#Updater%20says%20latest%20version%20is%20installed,%20but%20version%20ingame%20is%20lower

    Then uninstall the current six updater version, then reinstall the latest from:

    start it up, once in the GUI, disable autoskip, reset the skip status and update to verify and repair your modfolders:

    one thing the pictures dont refer to the user config files it was standing there because that was the last action id did as of i do that

    always after updating you need to update that also or it is out of date so that had nothing to do with it ,-) the only thing why i posted

    those pics is to let you see that is all like green so it says it is updated like it has to so it should actualy work but it dint for 4 times.

    never the less what you saying:

    well i don that already like 4 times all the same way so i do it again and now it is working, :s

    somethimes its verry frustrating that you have to do everything like a dozen times before

    it is working but finaly it is working so no worries anymore ;-)

    but i will take your advice in account to deinstall the six and reinstall it on regular base for safety.

    as of i do that allone if i get an specific error on the gui it selves maybe i need to do it more.

  15. Is there a problem on ace II last update ?

    I have some problems with my ace it is updated but i get errors on my install i already reenstalled and i get the same error afterwourds, im allready 2 hours on this to solve it but im kinda gonna give this one up.

    Im not all in to the addon thing so i dont know were to look :s to solve it.

    as of im using the six updater and im used to use it i dont see what im doing wrong im guessing this on there behave. So i hope they solve it as soon as possible.

  16. Ohhh.. Interesting! I love the movie, and looking forward to this. I might even sign up to help out with scripting/mission-making, but I got some own projects to finish first.

    Well it would be nice because scripting is something that i try to manage but i fail to ofthen to make it work, its like i have al this greath things in my head but its not working out when i try it.

    But if i read on the scripting it should be possible to make it work.

    I think i need to go studdy to make this but i rather do it not allone ,-)

    Btw the music is already selected and i will work on the release teaser to

    besides that im looking for mission makers to help me out to work out my little

    id and set up a team to make this work so we can make the community proud

    on what it can do with this game im only good for the raw stuff on the mission

    edditor ....

    But maybe its best to try to make the campaign with less waypoints possible and

    work with scripting or something or is that not manageble???

    the opening i need help with it because it needs to start on a carrier i post the whole story soon here with the missions highlited in it im typing whole the thing out betwean wrking houwers and playing arma II online :p

    On the other hand i like the 2009 units a lot so it would be nice that all are replaced ;-)

    Like you know i'm Tvertne i hang around here every day also on Armaholic,

    I have a little project in mind but as i'm doing this a little help would be apriciated.

    So this is a promotion bullitin:

    to get a team together to make a campaign, its gonna be story driven,

    the only addons you would need is:

    1: Community Base Addons: @CBA

    2: Ace II: @ACE @ACEX @ACEX_PLA @ACEX_SM

    3: Group Link 4: @GL4

    The campaign is gonna be called:

    Tears Of Chernarus

    Take note: You can see the movie enlarged but

    its adviced not to do so, it get a little blurry if you do if you see

    it standard it much better.

    The story will be based on the movie Tears of the sun, your Main objective is to resceu the doctor but as if you find her she would not come without the refugees,

    from that point you have to make a dessision like in the movie, in the game you would have also the shoice to take them with you or not on that point as you make

    your choice you will alter the campaign.

    The campaign is gonna be 12 missions big with a lot of voice acting cut scenes and alternative ingame music.

    I'm in need of

    Scripters, Game scripters for the campaigns layout and Ingame Animations & Movie angles, Voice Actors Englische Tchech Russian,

    Poeple that can make there own additional music real own composed if possible

    Artistic devoleper for a nice logo, i self will provide a trailer as im learning to do it and i want to learn to do the ingame cut scenes also with additional music ....

    Whyle i'm at it i want to learn more about mission design as for now i only know the begin stages for animations etc the scripting on the orther hand is going bad atm ....
