Guys, really, thanks a lot. It means a lot that all of you like our mod. I can try to explain better: trying to announce our work on the brazilian community, we always get a "this looks like shit"...I really dont know what goes on with my brazilian compatriots.... We have much more support from you guys. And we are very thankfull for that! Now: in the AK47 it would have been nice to get the rigth animation, but we have been working on this update for 9 months, and that was too much. We should have released this earlier, and so we decided not to make you guys wait anymore. But nice observation. The tanks: we tried (myself) like hell to make the recoil work. No sucess. At least I got the smoke from the barrel working. Missions: Op. Rain of Fire, Battle for Khafji, COOP73esatings, Uninvited Guests, are some of those that can be playable with AI setting up a lan. Server: I realised that there is a server running our mod. Dont know if it is for real, or if they are just testing, but it would nice if we played a little bit there. Its name = Total Sickness!!!!! And to finish, if we have here some guys that have servers, plz host our mod! Thats the best way to support us!!!! Stay in touch for our next release: The Arab-Israeli conflict!!!!! We would like to thank to: All our partners (credit file on the mod), Bohemia Interactive, Six Updater, United Operations, BR Devils, and our faithfull followers (you guys)! Cheers, Andrei - on behalf of The Lost Brothers -

Vilman, buddy, thats an issue when you load ACE2 and our mod. You see, the ACE2 M1A1 tank is a retexture, just like ours, so all the textures are there at the same time! If you load up only our MOD, you will see that the M1A1 is perfect, and with tracks! chheers ---------- Post added at 10:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:23 PM ---------- Yeah, sorry for that dude, thats a brazilian trying arabic...couldnt get better than that.... =) Miles said "Andrei, dont use google translator", but it was too late! -

Yo buddy! Yeah we need to release a full classname file. Will do that! To make the AI assemble, do this: 1) select the assistant (any assistant, all them have the tripods), tell him to go where you want the weapon deployed, click F6, drop tripod 2) select the specialist you want, click F6 and assamble weapon (AGS30, podnos or big bad ass machinegun =P) -

Yeah, that is strange. When I said it was known, I refeered to the fact that when you start one mission on the editor, you need to click once, and then its all good. If you have a newer version of vilas weapon pack, I would consider deleting the one that is included on our pack. And just for the record, as stated in the CREDIT FILE, that weapon pack is Vila´s, credits are to him, and so we didnt change anithing at all, including the addon name. Cheers! -

Jesus.... I cant believe I am actually reading this... Well, "dude", suit yourself. We didn't asked you to play with our mod, so whatever. Honestly, I just said above that me and Miles have tons of compromises and if you wont play cause you need to click one time "continue".....too bad dude.... -
Superb work guys!!! We from The Lost Brothers are enjoying your mod a lot! Keep up the good work!!! One question: does the Paladin have the config to work as a piece of artillery (maybe get inside gunner and open artilery computer???) Cheers!

Oh, sorry Foxhound, I didnt realised that! My bad! Thanks for the backup! ---------- Post added at 05:38 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:37 PM ---------- Thats strange, cause the T-72 is just a BI re-texture. Maybe that problem isn't "correctable".... thanks anyway! -

Thank you guys for the comments... Yeah the 'bin\config.bin/cfgvehicles/library.scope' error was known, but fortunatelly it is a minor bug, you just click continue or whatever and you should be fine! The T-62 needs some fixes, but we had so much to do with the US/Saudi/Qatar side, not to mention all the thermals to all soldiers, the new units on Iraqi side, that we really forgot to see to the T-62. However it should be playable and fun! The most important thing is that no major bugs are present. We have tested all missions and units is a private server before the release, so you all should be able to play and have fun! We really did our best, tried to make the units the most realistic that they could be, and the most beautifull as well. However we are only two (me and Miles) and now Miles has a GF, and I do have a wife, kid and my PhD thesis going on. We hope you all enjoy the mod. Another thing, please take off 2 minutes to read the CREDITS FILE, all the guys that helped with p3d models and textures deserve it!! Thank you all, players and partners! andrei ---------- Post added at 04:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:55 PM ---------- Just some answers: 1) Yes, this mod replaces the Iraq Saddam Era pack. Delete it, cause this mod has all those units, plus a bunch of new ones, and a lot of improvements, such as thermal signatures. 2) We had a BTR70 on the lobo iraq saddam era. However it needed a destruct models, textures, thermals, and we forgot to mess with him. In the future we may add that vehicle. 3) This mod require both Arma II and Operation Arrowhead, even though at armaholic just shows arma II as requirement. They got it wrong. Some missions require ACE2 and/or CBA (you can find what missions need that on the credits file) 4) As future plans, we have been following the Balcans mod,and they have two vehicles that were largely used by Iraq: the Paladin and one armored vehicle that can host an BRDM-like gun or AA missiles. We will check with them and Vilas the possibility to add those to the iraqi side.If they say yes, you should expect a 5 or 6 vehicle pack soon to be added to Saddam's boys side! cheers! ---------- Post added at 04:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:01 PM ---------- Another one: to the guy that said about the 1st Marine Division patches, thank you, I will check this with Miles, altough I think he would not make such mistake, cause he has served like 10 or more years at US Army. Anyways, I will check with him! -

Gulf War Mod v1.0 release frontpage at Armaholic: Image > 100kb removed http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=13345 -
I decided to open this to share how I solved my problems. My problem was a constant pattern of GOOD FPS/BAD FPS/GOOD FPS and so on. Being more specific I started playing the game at 70 FPS and that lasted constant like 5 minutes, then I got a FPS drop to 15 for one or two minutes. And the cicles began all over and over again. I solved the issue by observing that all the time the game was on good FPS, all the core clocks were at 2800 MHZ and the voltage that they were receiving was 1.35V (both stock values for the processor, Phenon II x4 920). I also noticed that when the game entered the BAD FPS phase, the clock was 800mhz and the voltage 1.05. And every time it changed this was observed. So my PSU was cracked, and I bough a 700 W PSU with declared efficiency of 85%. Solved once and for all. Cheers, Andrei

Tricky one: constant pattern - FPS drop then up
andrei posted a topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Hello guys, my problem is that no matter the mission, island, addons, my game always follows a pattern: FPS are ok at first place for lets say 3 minutes (ex: steady 70 FPS) then it drops for 1-2 minutes (ex: drops to a steady 10-15 FPS) then comes back again to the 70FPS, and all goes over and over again. My specs: AMD Phenon II x4 920 (2,8ghz) XFX GTX260 448bit bus 896 MB RAM GDDR3 (driver updated) 4 GB RAM dual channel DD2 running at 1066mhz (Bios configured and frequency checked with Everest) 500 GB HD 7200 RPM 20´ Samsung Monitor 1600x900 Win7 Ultimate 64bit I have done several tests, and with a monitor programm I have seen that my ram is always at 45-55% usage, CPU usage reachs 80% tops, and GPU/CPU temps are pretty normal. Basycally the programm shows that my machine has plenty resources. what I have done so far, with no changes: Tried the commands like -winxp; -maxmem=2047; -cpucount=2 or 4; turned Vsync off; altered the localVRAM value to the rigth one (896 MB in bytes); altered scene complexity and 3D performance to values below the stock; run the game as admin; run in winXP compatibilty mode, run the game in -window. As for PhysX, with this new driver I cant disable it, the only options I have are either select the CPU or the GPU to work with PhysX. When I had WinXP I could disable it, with no changes to the issue. The game is freshly installed after a very recent format and install all from the scratch, and the funny thing is that when I had WinXP I had this same problem. I hope this can help you guys help me, and if you need more info just let me know. Thanks a lot, Andrei. _________________________________________________________________ This issue was solved. What I did was a full format, but not any major changes. Then with AMD Overdrive and PC Wizard, I realized that when the game was OK on the good FPS rate, the voltage and clock of all cores was 1.35v and 2800mhz. When the game stuttered with low FSP, the voltage and clock on all cores was 1.05 and 800mhz. I solved once for all the issue buying a 700 W power suply with 85% efficiency. Thank you all! -

The problem was solved. I am replying to put it up on the list, and help share the sollution. I advise all guys that are having similar issues to monitor both the voltage that your processors receive as well the clock! -

OK, some news: I have done a full format on all my drives, a clean Win7 Ultimate 64bit install and Arma II/OA install. I decided that because I realised that previously I had done the quick format, so I could be having some interference with past operational system files. And apparently I was, cause now I can play almost 10 minutes on the good steady FPS rate, before having a slowdown/stutter/FPS drop of aprox. 40 seconds. So I am pretty sattisfied now, but maybe I could get rid of the stutter once and for all, that would be awesome. My MoBo is MA478. I post again to say the BIOS version. I thank you all for the patience and attention to my issue, and hope you keep on checking this thread. Sincerely, Andrei -

Sorry for the over KB images. 1) What do you mean by disabling every CPU virtualisation in BIOS? Can you be more specific on what things I must disable? 2) What can I do to check if the heatsink is poorly placed? Gamebooster is a programm that disables unnecessary process running and can unfrag game directories. Thanks all for helping! -

some new info: This is a SS when in good frames http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/1557/goodframes.jpg > 100kb and here a SS when in bad frames http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/108/framesbad.jpg > 100kb Mission was composed of me, an Striker and two more soldiers, on the desert map. No enemies. As you can see the CPU/RAM usage and temps are normal. Disabling Cool and Quiet at BIOS made my game crash. I will give it another try. What are the other options I could change in BIOS about energy saving? -

andrei replied to andrei's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
thanks for the replies. This issue happens in a mission in the desert map, with only me and nothilg else on the mission. It happens too if there are numerous units, doing nothing, or fighting. Whats happens is that if the mission is ligth, my FPS are better, and if its heavy, they are worse, but anyways they follow the pattern good frames - slow frames - good frames - slow frames, over and over again. I didnt compare the temp when playing other games, but will do and tell. I will also post a SS on the software that monitors everything both when the frames are good and bad. Thanks -

Ok, this new picture shows the implemented thermal signature to FLIR on the EE-11 Urutu APC (and I proudly say thats a Brazilian made vehicle). It took more than 6 hours to apply all the RVMATs, as this model has like 100 textures. It was a pain in the ass, but I think it is fairly good. -

So you made something wrong. Make sure that inside the @LoBo_Iraq folder, there is a folder "Addons", and inside this folder, there is a lobo_iraq_rep_guard.pbo file. Thats the soldiers. -

The US Inf is ready. The US vehicles are almost done, we are having issues with our FTP. The Republican Guard, T55, T62, Urutu APC have been updated with Thermal Images, and we are updating other stuff on vehicles.
