It's something to start with, what topas' did was really above and beyond, it involved no real work for the end user, as you can see by the mass of retextures released. -

We still have 7.62mm, 9mm, 6.5mm cased mag used with the TRG-20, so really there is only one class of ammo and magazine that covers two weapon types that uses caseless. Also the shell ejection port on 6.5mm releases excess gas from the firing mechanism. My above statement pretty much null and voids this statement.

These are great Saul! They cut out a lot of base work an experienced texture artist would have to go through putting it into photoshop. What they lack though is the accessibility of Topas' templates for new people to make their own units. That said, thanks for releasing such a pack, and with opfor units to boot!! I'll make sure Foxhound is aware of the second pack. :) Edit: Do you have some pics for the OPFOR version? -

Hey topas, what is the difference (in-game) between the armor1 and vests1? And do we really need to use armor1?

I'm surprised how this hasn't been thought of already (in past versionos of arma), regardless well done, now I don't fear opening my map while flying. :D

Pointless having a female soldier who is the same size in comparison, I've not met many women who match a man in height and stature. There is an old saying 'The smaller the target, the harder to hit', since the average engagement in ArmA is 300m, an average size women presents a very small target compared to a man. Many PvP games that utilize both sexes see men using female characters, Planetside 2, Guild Wars 2 etc for example.

I'm all for having female combatants, as long as they stay out of the PvP area of the game, all those elitists who choose to go female as it decreases they're likely hood of getting hit.... :nono:

I've found the interaction to be fantastic, when approaching a door I get the familiar door icon, I just click my middle mouse button and voila door opens. I have even managed to breach a door, throw a nade in and close the door all within a second or two. Sure it can be optimized but as of now I am pleased with it. -
+1 It's a feature we've seen done in mods for a long time, it's time for vanilla to snatch it up, it's a basic feature that should of been in the series from day one.

Glad this thread popped up, as I've had an issue with the standard RCO/ARCO sights being 12x magnification, throwing a scope capable of long range engagements on a weapon good for 600m max is a bit silly imo. Please bring back 4x only on scopes for team leaders/squad leaders etc.

Was just checking over my ArmA3.RPT and came across this error: Bad simulation thingX, type Land_Cargo20_china_color_V1_F (class=house), a3\structures_f\ind\cargo\cargo20_china_color_v1_f.p3d I recall China being mentioned in the very first ARG before ArmA 3 was announced, so with this error does it mean we will have an extra opfor faction in the final build? -

Actually it seems people do not know this, they complain about all sorts of shit, the game is frickin' alpha for ducks sake... It is not a polished game, it is a game with base features and base graphics. Get Over It! -

My graphics don't look like that at all, the only issue with graphics is the medium draw on landscape, appear all waxy etc. People seem to not understand the meaning of Alpha. Alpha == Early Build (only those who wish to test/provide feedback should use). Beta == Getting close to full game, most bugs fleshed out. Full release == ......... Have some patience and allow steam to update alpha builds.

Play on servers with difficulty above regular, some veteran difficulty servers force first person, all expert servers have first person only. -

This. There is no need to get out of the helo in that scenario. It is completed once you've touched ground.

I noticed that the ground textures at distance are waxy........ but remember it is ALPHA......
