    OFP Addon request thread

Hello all, Does anyone have the RPG-7 addon by Tanelorm? I think MintyBoy might have reworked/updated it too. Either one would make me happy! Also, does anyone have this PT-76 by Oxotnik? http://ofpr.info.paradoxstudio.uk/7680-pt-76-screenshots.html Thanks!

    OFP Addon request thread

Has there ever been a T-72BM or T-72BA made for OFP? I've only found some for ARMA 1, but never one for OFP. (Depending on what you read, its called a -BM or a -BA) Thanks in advance! Here is a picture! http://www.defencetalk.com/pictures/data/4945/T-72BA_with_BTR-80s.jpg

    OFP Addon request thread

Do you know if anyone has made a GAZ-2975 Tigr for OFP? I'm also looking for any Soviet/Russian towed Anti-Tank Guns (I already have the 130mm M-46 gun by DKM). Specifically, I'm looking for a Sprut standalone 125 towed anti-tank gun. I'm also interested in any other static Anti-Tank weapons systems for the East side (such as the spg-9, but not the FDF one because it is unrealistically powerful in my opinion). Thanks! Edit! Also, if any of our Russian Comrades could check Flashpoint.ru, it would be greatly appreciated! I've tried to navigate through it but its nearly impossible for me since I can't read any Russian and search engine translations are terrible! Spasibo in advance!

    Game freezes at multiplayer tab

I have the same problem unfortunately :-( I click on the multiplayer tab, the game freezes and I have to manually shut down the computer :-( Already tried all the suggested fixes. I guess no ARMA II multiplayer for me :-( System: Windows XP SP3 ARMA II CO W/RFT's latest versions ZoneAlarm Firewall AMD X2 6000+ 4gb DDR2 800 RAM ATI/AMD HD 4870 SB Audigy 2 ZS WD 500GB 7200 rpm Onboard integrated network card Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H
  6. Hi, as others have said on this thread, I have the exact same problem. I bought my ARMA II Combined Operations from Amazon and ARMA II Reinforcements from bestbuy. I installed ARMA II/OA and then patched it with 1.59 and then 1.10 for the original ARMA II. Then I installed ARMA II Reinforcements and tried to apply the 1.59 patch again because it is supposed to also patch ARMA II Reinforcements PMC/BAF but it did not work. I also tried running the individual patches from the official site (downloaded from gamefront mirror) and they also failed. Please help!

Icarus!!! In point of fact, I AM using ATI Tray Tools! I had never thought of that possibility! I am going to try turning it off during gameplay to see if it works! Thank you! I think this will work!!!#!$$!$!!111!!! cheers! ---------- Post added at 03:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:53 PM ---------- Icarus1, this is Freax0r69! A DREAM HAS COME TRUE!!! THE SOVIET ARMY SALUTES YOU! http://tinypic.com/r/2rf4jrm/5 (screenshot) ---------- Post added at 03:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:18 PM ---------- Kegetys' DXDLL 1.0 is CONFIRMED WORKING FLAWLESSLY on the following hardware/software: Windows XP SP3 AMD X2 +6000 CPU 4GB DDR2 800 RAM AMD/ATI HD4870 512MB Video Card using latest drivers OFP version 1.96 with "modul sky" addon, everything else is BIS original The trick to get it working was mentioned by Icarus! You just have to close down ATI Tray Tools or any similar real-time video card management program! Also make sure that you have Anti-Aliasing turned off because apparently it is not compatible with the Kegetys DXDLL addon!

    DXDLL Technical Support :-)

krzychuzokecia thanks for your info my friend, I actually copied your config file and put it in dxdll folder but it still did not work :-( metalcraze thanks for that tip! I'll definitely look into it! Maybe someone here has got dxdll working, lets wait and see :-)
  9. Hello Folks! I have seen some amazing screenshots, apparently people are still using Kegetys' DXDLL mod but on what hardware? I'm running Windows XP SP3 with an AMD +6000 and an ATI/AMD HD 4870 512mb card and after correctly installing the DXDLL mod, the game doesn't launch anymore :-( Does anyone have any idea on how to get the DXDLL mod to work with current or at least recent video cards? Any information/advice is greatly appreciated (I never got to use the DXDLL mod and I was really looking forward to it!) So please, if you are using a video card in the HD 4800 series or newer Nvidia cards and the DXDLL mod is working for you, please please respond and let us know what settings you are using to enable it to work! Thanks in advance! I love OFP!!! 10 years and still going strong!

    OFP Addon request thread

Thanks again Zulu1! You are the point man for the community's RPG-7 needs! Tanelorn's version is the one I was looking for! :-) Yes sorry, I should have clarified the chronology/versions for anyone else who might be interested: Kegetys made the first RPG-7, we could call it the "base model" Tanelorn made an edit with different weapon sights, arc of flight, damage modeling and impact sounds (great mod) we should call this one the "first modfication/edit" Mintyboy made a further edit by using different classnames to ensure backwards compatibility with the Kegetys "base model". We should call this one the "second modification/edit" (note this version does not include an editor menu ammo box) Zulu1 made the final edit, adding different ammo types and soldiers in the editor equipped with the different versions of the RPG-7 launcher. It also does not include an editor menu ammo box. We should call this the final edit. Cheers!

Zulu 1, this is Freaxor69! YOU ARE THE MAN! Thanks my ofp Brother! I learned my lesson after several category 5 Hard Drive disasters, I'm gonna burn my entire addon collection on CD-Rs or DVD's because finding everything again each time is a *****!!! And that way if anyone is looking for a rare addon I can upload it for them too! Cheers! ---------- Post added at 09:54 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:50 AM ---------- Zulu, does your edit contain an ammo box? I looked in the editor but I couldn't find it and also, Mintyboy's version also seems to be missing an ammo box! :-( If not, do you have the original one by tanelorm? It appears only the original tanelorm RPG-7 addon has the ammo box! :p

    OFP Addon request thread

Thank you Zulu, but unfortunately it is not the right one :-( The one I described in my post *may* have been based on Kegetys' RPG-7, but it may have been modified for realism. Here are some additional details that just came to mind: -It was a beautiful weapon to use... When you fired it, it was a lot more of a heavy "bullet shot" than a rocket flight, just like the real thing. You felt a good thump when it fired, and it tended to drop parabolically just like the real thing. -The sound! The explosion sound was very deep, very rich and very realistic. If you look at RPG-7 explosion videos on youtube, it sounds EXACTLY the same. Its hard to describe it, but you can see/hear it online. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Forget the above, I think I found it! There was a thread where some guy asked about the very same addon! It was originally made by a guy named "tanelorm", by heavily modifying Kegetys' original RPG-7! Then a user forum here named "Mintyboy" improved on that and corrected some mistakes!!! See the thread here! I am trying to find the addon! The links on that thread are either dead or just not working for me :-( http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=29397 ---------- Post added at 04:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:47 PM ---------- Unfortunately, all known links are dead :-( The name of the needed addon is Improved RPG-7 v1.12, and the filename is mtb_rpg7_v1_12.zip Here is the completed addon thread by mintyboy: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=29443 ---------- Post added at 04:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:25 PM ---------- Does anyone know mintyboy? Maybe someone has his email address and we can ask him if he still has it! :) ---------- Post added at 04:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:33 PM ---------- Ok! All the research has been done! Here is the definitive addon request! The funny thing is I was able to answer all my own questions and ended up figuring it all out by myself! :-p But thanks to the guys who replied and offered help! We still need to find the file though! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx The best and most realistic RPG-7 Addon ever made for OFP! Features: Different scope view (very intuitive when getting the range of armour). Different impact sounds. A choice of two different warheads (tandem-charge (AP) and frag), with different flight-characteristics for each (frag is lighter, so has a shallower arc of flight). New firing sound (a sharp "Pop!" noise). All-in-all, very good work based on Kegetys' original model (original modification by "Tanelorm", then classnames edited by "Mintyboy" to ensure backwards compatibility with original Kegetys addon) Filename: mtb_rpg7_v1_12.zip Only problem: we have to find a working link on the vast ocean that is the internet! :-p

Thank you silver ranger, but unfortunately it is not the one. I should have mentioned that it was not made by ICP/ORCS. But thank you anyways.

    OFP Addon request thread

RE: Realistic RPG-7 addon Hi!!!!!!!!! I have a somewhat obscure request... (and I apologize in advance for the length of this post) Before my last hard drive apocalypse, I had found an awesome RPG-7 addon. It had the basic original RPG-7 and RPG-7VR variant, as well as ammo crates in the editor featuring both launcher variants and their respective rounds. This addon was very realistic in a few ways: It had much more modest damage values (For the basic/original RPG-7 variant) and the RPG-7VR was accordingly much more potent. It also had a very well done recoil action, as well as a significant "dropping" trajectory which, in my opinion was realistic as well. It also had more realistic sights, one which looked kind of like this: \ | / note: It is not the default ofp NH-75 style "iron sight" like the JAM RPG-7's (for the basic RPG-7 variant, that is... The RPG-7VR variant has an optical sight in this addon) Where did I find it? I believe I found it on the "OFP forever" website that I saw mentioned earlier in this thread. I'm not sure if it was "OFP forever", but I do remember that the site had a bunch of Ferrari (F355, F360 etc) and 2005 body style Ford Mustangs and a few other race track mods (to the best of my recollection). It is possible that I got it from ofp.gamepark.cz and I just "think" I got from the "OFP forever" site or some other... Additional clues: I suspect the addon might have been made by Kegetys, or that it was based on Kegetys' RPG-7 but modified/customized for more realism. I remember it *may* have been listed under "RPG-7 resistance soldier addon" or something like "resistance RPG-7" or something to that effect. In the readme file, the author gave a brief description. He said that he had modeled the weapon on real-world RPG-7 footage. He said he closely observed the recoil effects and the trajectories. He also said he researched the damage modeling and anti-armor capabilities for both the basic and modern variant. Finally, he directed players to watch a movie called "The Beast" (1988 film) if they wanted to see a real RPG-7 being fired, to get an idea of how it looks/feels in action. In closing, I just want to make a couple of points. I am absolutely sure this was NOT the JAM 3 RPG-7, and NOT the RHS RPG-7/VR NOR was it part of some larger unit/weapons package. It was a just standalone addon, just featuring a default OFP resistance soldier equipped with a basic RPG-7 (and it also added ammo crates in the editor menu). I believe (optimistically) with this documented statement, it shall be possible for the remnants of the OFP community to find this long lost gem of an addon! Cheers! "Officer? You've no more combat experience than the rest of these rookies!" -Dmitri Lukin, Soviet Army
