OK I'm TL;DR'ing the 10 pages of this thread, but you couldn't buy violent video games until you were 17 anyway so I don't get what this law does, just raises it up one year? -

I always thought you could pull of an auto-rotate IRL at any altitude? -
I think there probably will be, maybe at E3 it just wasn't a feature yet. In arma 2, characters never used to move their limbs to control things but they put it in the preview. So I would assume the heli will have a character, even if it wasn't at E3.

Yeah the tutorial will probably be the best so far. Arma 2 was OK, OA was better (not that I needed it by that point), Arma 3... you get the idea.

I'm fine with being stupider as long as it's just with the editor... have you ever thought that I actually dont want to devote very much time at all learning code for a video-game mission editor? Is that crazy? I just want to make cool missions for myself and friends.

Same Here! :391: Can't even open up OA to turn off expansions.... EDIT: If you have Vista, you can still access OA. Just go to the A2 OA file location and drag the "tkoh-preview" folder to desktop. The file can't run if OA doesn't know where it is... -

Also, get rid of the TALK and SCRIPTED waypoints unless BIS mission-makers have some secret use for them... -

There really needs to be a SCATTER waypoint, DISMISSED doesn't seem to work. It would be cool to have a squad realistically go about their own ways sitting/lounging/walking around. DEFEND would also be cool, nice idea. A LAND unit for airplanes is needed, and some sort of the same "Touch-down" waypoint for helis. -
Nobody asked for a "Mac editor" where everything is simplified and control is taken away. In the first place, there is control just not there if you don't study coding... Templates and wizards will fix that.

Yea, I think the editor needs more templates while at the same time still allowing the advanced scripting stuff. I mean honestly, think about how hard it is to do things like make a mission end when a town is clear of combatants- that shouldn't require any scripting or typing of code on my part! Also, has an undo (Ctrl+Z) function already been suggested?
