  1. How about... ARMA airsoft materials and ARMA camo (with an ARMA 2 logo on it near your shoulders or something like that). ARMA posters, ARMA pens :D, ARMA belt, ARMA remote control heli, ARMA remote control planes, ARMA remote control Humvee, Tanks, etc... maybe even ARMA keyboards and mouse, ARMA drinking cups, ARMA blanket :D, ARMA pillow, ARMA toothbrush :D, ARMA skinned Ipod Screen Protector thing xD

Arma computer cases, arma bed spreads, arma bumper stickers, arma coffee mugs, arma firefox personas, arma phone decals, arma car decals, arma blankets, arma paintball league, arma lunch boxes, and if you buy all the above you get a pc that will guarantee at least 50 fps at all times of gameplay :D

  2. Just like you guys i find it very difficult to get "into" any other FPS.

I find it quite funny when trying a new fps (Only happens round a friends house) to pick out flaws and what not. Like the other day, i went round a mates house and he says "Fancy a game of CoD Black Ops be a good laugh" so i "enthusiastically" agree. After a while (30 seconds) i became bored, and so amused myself by continualy asking questions like "which button makes me lean, you cant? oh" and "Which button switches fire mode, what'd you mean i cant, i can see the button on my gun im holding!". Usually followed by "you know which game you can do xxxx in? . . . . " haha

One thing that really pissed my mate off, was i kept scanning the area that was off the map. Couldn't stop myself from doing it through out the game haha!.

I do the exact same thing! They then ask "What makes your game so much better?"

  3. Hello everyone!

I made this thread to share with you all some tricks I use with dropbox to help with mission editing.

For those of you who don't know dropbox is a free program that allows you to synchronize files over multiple devices. You an access it almost anywhere, this includes any computer over the internet, with a dedicated computer application for windows, mac, and linux, your iphone/blackberry/android phone and on your ipad. It provides many options for a mission maker.

The most useful one to me is "Dropbox Folder sync" This dropbox addon is a small .exe file that you run on your computer, it adds an option in your right click menu to synchronize any folder to your main dropbox folder. It creates a shortcut/fake file that, when double clicked opens the folder in your dropbox. The Arma II game still uses it just fine. Now, this opens up many possibilities for anyone who lives life on the go, and cannot be at his main computer that he does all his gaming, editing, etc on. With this feature i can edit my scripts while watching tv with my ipad, at school on their computers, in the car with my cell phone, and anywhere else. And it all immediately syncs to your original mission folder on your computer at home. Its a neat trick that I highly advise you try out.

Also it provides an easy, and efficient way to host files. Your dropbox folder includes a subfolder that is named "public". You can put any files into it, and just do a right click on the file and open up the dropbox submenu, and click on "copy public link". Then just paste the link wherever your want to share it. You don't have to sign up to a standalone file hosting website, or anything like that.

Another thing I do is put all my editing tools into a single folder in dropbox. So I can access things like eliteness, notepad++, squint, arma edit, and other things. I also put in manuals like Mr. Murrays editing guide so that if I need some quick reference I can access it anywhere.

So if anyone needs a way to efficiently access their mission files from anywhere, dropbox is a good choice.

    Have a great day!

  4. These links should help you out. The first is for the Arma mission editor, but it mainly still applies to Arma 2.

    ArmA Mission Editor

Youtube video tutorials are in abundance, just some simple searches on youtube are needed.

Also Mr. Murray made an excellent guide for the original ArmA. It also mainly applies to Arma 2.

Once you learn the basics you can also look into Modules.

The Wiki is also a great place to look for any other help.

  5. this seems really a great mod!

Sadly, I just have Arma 2, and I would dare to ask you if it is possible for you to spend some time for me and my friend :D

If not, nevermind, we appreciate your MOD philosophy very much, indeed!

Sure, I'll cook up an Arma 2 version for you. But I highly advise putting down the $ for Operation Arrowhead. Anyway, I should have it done in a few hours.

    Edit: Updated on first post!

  6. I mean that the story would be discontinued. It is not like some fantasy game where you have these 20+ year jumps. Recent DLCs and expansion build up on one another. Suddenly jumping 20 years seems to rash, giving away much of potential for further DLC or expansions.

I agree, this would be a long time in armaverse. And to say that nothing went on in that time would be unlikely. But I suppose anything is possible. They jumped a long time from CWC to Arma, but I don't think another time jump is in the works.
