    curious - will you include non enterable buildings as seen in Fallujah to help improve variety and also control lag in built up areas?

    not a fair statement really even though pc power has an impact. the fact is, Zargabad with its small size compared to Fallujah is a resource hog and caused grief for a lot of machines and players to the point that most ppl never use the map. Fallujah on the other hand is 4 times bigger I would say maybe more (feels like it anyway) provides beautiful urban warfare environment and runs as smooth as silk and has a fair share of enterable buildings. The city also seems to have more variation then Zargabad too plus a railway system and bridges - I cant fault this map.

    for what it's worth Shezan - i rate this in the top 3 custom maps alongside the likes of Lingor. its what Zargalag should have been but no matter - you have done the job beautifully.

    hit the nail on the head - i think the insertion adds to the immersion without requiring you to do much to instigate it. fastroping is a neat addition (was one of the few things i liked about GRAW actually).

    yes tested - was able to swim for at least 2 minutes without losing gear. the river crossings are about 30 seconds. i will do some more testing on dedicated server to make sure. ---------- Post added at 08:25 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:24 AM ---------- if i use TrueMod does everyone need it? or just packed in my mission?

    my fix for water is to use ACE2 which i will be using for all future missions - there is just too much good stuff to leave it out and many benefits to having it in - which includes not losing all your gear after 30 seconds in the water. this is a bonus because it means you choose where to cross the river instead of having to use a bridge for the crossing. and i think i can also remove the fastrope addon which is included in ACE2 already. i will consult with my mate silent_op from phoenix soldiers to get the best set up for ACE2 and then will punch out a few more missions. the remake of GR_Airfield is going to be sick! and Castle_Day which will be tweaked and i would say be better then the original when im finished.

    yep cool - taking all this on board - was just a test run and i want to make a lot of improvements. it is not close enough to the original yet but ill get it there - ideally i would like to have crossing via the stream but i think height of the water will be the main problem - you will go into a swim animation.

    sorry links fixed - dont know why they did that initially - bizarre. pilot ran to you? first id say thats very lucky for you. second that is not supposed to happen lol. will check that out. all the other stuff mrcash is to be fixed but just want to see how the mission works - just early testing. ---------- Post added at 10:16 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:08 AM ---------- good points here - this was really a test to see how well it works in MP - may take it out of this mission in future and use it in others. also, it's true that the original you start on the ground, however, the Ghosts did insert by some means - could have been a fastrope (we'll never know) :)

Allowing late joiners to join after the helicopter leaves. this can be added to SP and works really well but as i said i am not modifying these missions anymore - feel free to search forums for how to unpack pbo and then add HCC. my future SP missions i will readd - but time is short and i want to turn my attention to new GR missions.

    if all players are dead - mission ends and you wont see a score show up anyway. i need points to be issued as each objective is completed and stored and added to until end of mission when the score should be displayed on screen for 10 seconds or so so a screenshot can be taken. also the ability to remove say 5 points for each time player is killed would be ideal too.

    to mission makers - i am about to do one or two or who knows how many missions for this but i know others are working on some as well. we dont want to have 10 missions in the same area and the rest of the map unused so can you give locations where you are building please so i can find some virgin territory. my other thought was the campaign - do we know the path it will follow or are we just throwing a bunch of missions together based on allies attacking Iran? thanx Lighty.

    i wont be editing these missions again - not in the near future anyway - only bug fixing. but anyone can edit them and play them as they wish. i believe mission 8 had an issue in coop at least which i need to examine.

    i believe if you have other island addons running you could get issues here n there - best to deactivate them first.
