    Is like to see BIS port the objects from previous series. Tbh, I can't actually understand why you wouldn't bring the library of objects straight across. Please explain. I've already created the thread about buildings devoid of life but you're not even giving us the objects to fill in the gaps. All of the taki stuff would look at home here. Please add.

    For the record, I was talking about objects like furniture, buildings, sandbags, etc. not the vcl.

    Is there a way to populate buildings with objects BIS? As good as the buildings are they really need some objects in them - not hand placed but perhaps should be part of the models? Or is there a way to spawn furniture in the houses? Would really add to the immersion / realism. Still love the game though.

    Personally I would rather see all of the current building ripped and replaced with a2 buildings, sad to say, but that's how bad the current ones feel

    As a mission maker, I NEED furniture in the buildings as part of a convincing story. Yes I can place all the objects if I have to, but wouldn't my time be better spent actually making the mission? It's a BIS job, not my job as far as I'm concerned. Seriously, at the moment the villages are a step back from OA, maybe 2. ---------- Post added at 08:13 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:27 AM ---------- One of the most puzzling things for me at this stage is why would BIS not port all of the old objects straight into a3? Why start from scratch? Sadly, I feel this work will fall to scripters/ modders to fix.

    Just a note: yes there r other areas that need attention in Arma3, we know that already. We also need some furniture for immersion. Not saying one is more important than the other, just saying, BIS here is something else that really needs attention...at some point in time.

    As a possible compromise, if indeed performance could be an issue. Remove some of the enterable buildings. Replace with unenterable. Add some, but not all with furniture - it is feasible that a number of houses would have been emptied out. There was no issue for players and AI moving through Takistan buildings that I saw so why now?

    Ok performance has been an issue for some. Personally, I don't think adding a bit more detail to buildings would affect that. In terms of resources, modellers model scriptures/ programmers work on the performance and AI. That's how I see it.
  15. The foundation is good. I would like to see our men with more of the skills and accuracy you would expect. Save game is important too. Also if virtually at point blank rate you surely can't miss? Why have to buy all the equipment? Just offer it at mission brief and let us take what we need with limits to how much we can carry.

    Well I am certainly not the expert here in terms of modelling and I made it clear in my first post that I still love BIS bcoz we have Arma series in the first place. But it is something that should be addressed at some point bcoz it is quite ridiculous and completely unrealistic and SN immersion killer to fun through every empty building. Arma2 had it to a degree and operation arrowhead had some beautifully detailed buildings. But we have taken a huge step backwards in this series and that's very disappointing. I'm not asking for hugely detailed rooms and dozens of variations but Bis modellers can and should do a lot better! ---------- Post added at 06:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:00 PM ---------- And for the douche bags who feel the need to clutter this thread with, ' furniture is less important than.....' , F off and go and spam another thread. ;)

    ok I'm happy with that and I will release the campaign once the transition to A3 occurs. :) I hope all is ok without having job and not struggling financially.

    Read my post again. No one released anything of yours in A3, they just ran a test on their own machine. If you take issue with them doing that, then you need to chill.

    I know you don't but if someone decides to test for themselves on their own machine then nothing wrong with that. I know someone did a test and took a few ss of one of the other jungle maps and the pics look incredible!

    yes, 1.5 is out - it just wasn't renamed in six so still said 1.4 - it was only when I clicked on it that the details said it was in fact v1.5. I heard that some have tested porting across Lingor using All in Arma and it works.....so maybe not difficult to port? Im playing a bit of GTA V too :) RokStar just knows how to make great games.
