Well that's great!! I hope they can pinpoint the error soon as this is very annoying. As I have mentioned earlier, this only happens on MP games. I can play SP without any CTDs well maybe 1 CTD ouf of 50games in SP while I have constant CTDs in MP LOL

I'm in Thailand but it's either US or UK. This one is a DVD +18 version. I think it's UK. Anyone knows if and when we can expect another patch with fix??

Hi, I know this is about aim but connected to FADE. I've read earlier that FADE (original thread closed) can also make you spawn as a seagull (bird). I've never had any doubts about my retail copy but after reading the mentioned bird spawning I'm a bit paranoid LOL since I've spawned as a bird once yesterday and thought wth?!! Well I was able to re-class and play the game normally, well except for the random CTDs I still have. I've never noticed a bad aim except that I have set mouse sensitiveness to very high (Razer mouse option) and i'm very shaky when excited lol..But i've noticed that sometimes it takes almost like half a mag to neutralize my target. But I'm hitting the target as I see the blood splashes. Well, just 2 short questions. 1.) Can you sometimes spawn as a bird even with original copy of the game? It happened only once so far. 2.) Will FADE makes it harder to kill targets? Thanks and sorry if it was off topic, I believe it's related though ;) Oh another thing, I'm also able to play the game without CD, is that intended? I haven't messed with the game except for using mods like ACE2,etc.. like you all.

Hey Imperator, we were on the same server today. Don..lol I also voted! Already registered earlier for another vote ;) The crashes are so random, first I got the "Receiving black screen" bug, then CTDs with error message and now I get this CTD w/o error message and arma2.exe still in task manager. Btw, this is only happening when playing MP games. I rarely crash in SP! It's so frustrating when you meet good people and have a nice game going. PS. another thing..totally off topic sorry, but is there any chance to change name in main account? The game uses my name from Windows, I'd love to change it.

What are your settings I also have a 8800GTS 320MB..i fixed this problem for SP games but I have this "Receiving Black Screen" or crash freezes when playing MP. I normally play 1440x900 and no problems with SP missions. Only problems when playing online Thanks

Oh no, now it totally freezes up my system!! I was able to do alt+tab before and shut arma2.exe down. My specs are: Q6600@2.4Ghz, 8800GTS 320MB, 4x1GB Corsair DDR2 RAM, Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm 500GB SATA HDD, WinXp 32bit SP3,

I've got the same problem but I get a sound loop first and then I lose connection and have this black receiving screen. No fix for me so far.. also happens on MP games.

hahahah...this happened to me when I cleared the northern camp and was about to move to the castle. The heli got shot down and I had to walk there. The APC was always in close distance and my sniper spotted a man near that APC. All of sudden the mission was over as quoted, I guess the APC shot Bardak LOL

Hi, I don't know where to post this but it looks like I have the same problem. But this is only happening in Sp mission Harvest Red (well I haven't passed Harvest Red yet so I don't know if it will happen later as well). First I thought it was overheating but when I replay the previous missions again, everything is good. Everything has been good so far. I even managed to play Harvest Red on my first try and was able to regroup with Reaper. But I didn't complete the given objective so I decided to start over. Since then I crashed every time within a minute of that mission. I've replayed the previous missions over and over again for long periods without any graphic glitch or any artifacts. My cards temperature was even hotter while playing those missions. Anyone had this problem on Harvest Red or knows how to fix it? I've lowered video settings, fps was higher but it still crashes with graphics going crazy. When it crashes I get the Windows pop up with the message if I want to send this to Microsoft. My Rig is as follows: Asus P5KR, Q6600 @2.4Ghz, 8800GTS 320MB on 182.50, 4GB Corsair CM2X DDR2 I'll try to update my 8800GTS with 195.62 and see if that fixes the problem which I highly doubt. Any suggestions?? Thanks Very weird, after updating driver to 195.62, everything's fine. Able to play above mentioned mission without glitch, artifacts or crash. Hope it stays that way!! ARMA2 rocks!!!! :D
