    Fallujah - Operation Phantom Fury

    i get the same error. and i did go hunting for missing the files. that "opx" addon was listed under the arma1 section. will it contain files such as caa1_* ? ( * is a wildcard) ~S~ update: Thanx for the suggestion but that didn't help. Actually i already had those files, so that wasn't the problem. Still open to any other suggestions. Peace.
  2. How do i edit or move the Helo Insertion point on the smaller custom islands, where the insertion point appears in the 'black' area outside of the confines of the map. I am using the quick mission generator at: Single Player - Senarios - "New mission" or "My Last mission" - 4. Combat In all cases the insertion point is often outside of the map bounderies, and does not show up in the editor for me to move it over 'land'. This occurs with the smaller user made 'islands'. The insertion point will show up when i hit 'preview', and the chopper will simply hover in no-man's-land because it has nowhere to land. BUT, when i go back to 'edit' the insertion point it is no where accessible or visible. What am i doing wrong? ... or can someone offer some helpful 'tips', or even point me elsewhere for the specific answer. Thank you. [salute W0lle]
  3. Still unresolved. I need someone out there to 'humor' me :o on this one: Try this sequence, see if u get the same result, and PLEASE help me to resolve what i may be doing wrong: Single player > Scenarios > My Mission > New Mission > Create > 04. Combat > Map > Quesh-Kibrul > Edit = NO VISIBLE SPAWN POINTS > Preview = visible spawn points, BUT they are way off the Map, and can't be edited. This is for the 'poor man's mission makers' like myself. :confused: SALUTE ALL. [AND i certainly hope there was no rules violation in my asking for help again]

  5. every now and then i like to try a 'pickup' mission by simply using the quick mission generator at "My mission" or "My Last mission" under the Single Player Senarios Tab.     and unlike you guys i have NEVER seen my AI squad members rearm themselves on the battlefield. i have ALWAYS had to give each individual member who yells '"out of ammo" the 'get gear' commands. i've tried everything: stand down - "be aware" "safe" "disengage" SIGH!

  9. real quick questions: (and i know this was asked before, but now i can't find the responses) When i point at a squad member his name or class shows up. How do i turn that off? AND lastly, are there zoom and function switches to the mini GPS that comes up from Ctrl M? Can i zoom out? thanx for your 'kind' responses. ~S~

    VFAI - AI Extension - ARMA II

    i've been using this addon since i installed the game. i have yet to see the AI attempt to rearm themselves on the Battlefield. They are forever turning red when they run out of ammo, and shouting complaints about it. I am ALWAYS the one having to direct them to get weapons and/or ammo with the 'gear' or 'rearm' commands. And yes, this time i have read through this whole thread before posting. And yes, the VFAI is in my mods string, and the console does show up in game. I'm just getting jealous that mine isn't working as advertised. Any suggestions? ps. i have even called the all clear 'safe' command, and waited, and waited, and waited ... well u get the idea.

I am so relieved that i my install wasn't messed up again. ~Salute~ Allow me to ask 2 quick STUPID questions: what key brings up the table with the player list and their kills during the coop. and ... (drum roll) ... what key brings up the little GPS (Tom Tom) while in the 1st or 3rd person views. (ducking for cover in anticipation of some of the responses) ty
  13. tried my very first coop today. was nervous, even felt 'intimidated'. Anyway ... i kept receiving this error: "ace_sys_air_refuel" deleted ... cannot play or edit mission. i updated today (1/30): ACE2 _b235 any ideas? ~Salute~ ps: i also had some strange "Flames" covering half my screen at the Host's Air Base (?)
  14. @Manzilla: I HAVE TO COMMEND YOU, and a few others, on your level-headed responses to even the most annoying of questions. I was being very discouraged by some of the negative and crass responses from others to people like myself who are simply new to the 'scene'. Sending people back to page 1 of a 200 page thread, rather than offering a simply answer and little encouragement, as you did sir on a number of occassions, goes a long way in my book. I am sure that we were ALL noobs at one point or the other, in one game or another. Being charitable to people is a trait that often goes uncomplimented. SO, cudos to you sir. I Salute you. ps: got my aimpoint back, got my audio responses back, using my Map more ... i am finally making some progress. Now to figure out how to stop getting shot by the AI from 500 meters away :butbut: See you all online in my first coop in about 3 months! :) THANX AGAIN FOR YOU PATIENCE.
  15. everytime i turn around something else is missing: The AI audio (voice) acknowledgements and responses to my orders are gone. How do you guys keep up with this stuff ...? :butbut:
  16. Since the Sunday upadte: i lost my gunsight (aim point) cursor. (i am no veteran or expert so i'm kinda lost without it.) (scary too) AND the distance to the next waypoint or object no longer displays with the "v" carat. The carat is there but no numerical indication of the distance. any solutions? btw: Today is "be-kind-to-the-annoying-noobs" Day.

    new noob ...

    1st time here ... 2 quick questions: Lost the animated carrier flyby after i installed ACE2 ... now i have animated under water for my menu screen. Any quick fix? Got the "invalid civilian crew" error ... but it went way After i removed my beloved Vopsound_2.1 from my mod string. Any quick fix? (maybe by removing one small part of vop? Thanks in advance for your patience.
