    i've never tried Halo Jump before. How do i even get close to the target area. I did get the plane to land and got off, BUT how do i get the AI to get off the plane? I tried "disembark", "eject", "halo jump", and they still wont get off. Even with the plane on the ground they still wouldn't get off.

  5. i wont say it's an ACE problem, but after my most recent update i'm seeing soldiers without heads. They behave normally but their heads are simply missing. (i have no ghoul or undead mods installed, strictly army ops for me) Video memory perhaps? anyoneelse ever experienced this? i'm open to any suggestions for a fix? ~salute~

    New beta build 70054 is up!

    Do the beta 'patches' change the main Arma2.exe in any way? i deleted the beta folder all together, in an attempt to go back to a time when life was grand, BUT even with the folder deleted i'm still getting this error on startup, then a CTD: "Shader not valid (mismatch of exe and data?)" I guess that means my Arma2.exe is damaged beyond repair ? (sigh)

    How do i "ROLL BACK" to previous beta patch? For fear of double posting: The game will not even start without the beta, without mods, ... simply crashes with same error message: "Shader not valid (mismatch of exe and data?)" I'm asking before i resort to reinstalling the whole game from scratch. (hope ya'll feeling my pain)

    Guerilla Warfare [SP-Dynamic]

    getting error messages: for ID getting "deleted_ibr_isladuala for GW getting "deleted_ibr_panthera2 i have the latest versions of Both islands: Panthera 2.6 and ID 1.6 ... any suggestions? i also couldn't find a link to a referenced ID_Dynamic V0.28 i'm still using V0.27 can someone post a direct link in a reply? Thanx.
  10. help with error messages: No entry-'bin\config.bin/CfgFaces/Man/Solid_snake_face.id entityType'. No entry- 'bin\config.bin/CfgWeapons.Vil_Akm' They don't seem to affect the missions, but they pop up for EVERY mission i launch. I do Have ALL the Vil weapons and addons installed in my attempts to get rid of the latter error, but still no luck. Although they are errors i can live with Any help would be appreciated. ~SALUTE~
  11. i've been waiting for community responses to your 3 contributions, and i am amazed and surprised that there have been NO Feedback to date.(time stamp) I hate being the first and only, but here goes: Missions load ok with the removal of the dependency on the caa1 'phantom' files, so that's a Plus. However, After the mission loads, i cannot assume the role of AI Team/Squad leader, and the AI simply stand around doing Nothing. Unless, there is something i am missing or need to do ... (which wont surprise me since i'm still learning my way around the game. The jury is still out ...

    my experience has ALWAYS been only 4 AI survive the landing. Either all the others never get off the chopper and fly away, OR they just drop dead right there at the LZ. I had simply 'assumed' that the mission was just coded to allow a limited number of AI help. and YES, i do have the latest version In any case, i've always accomplished the mission With extensive use of the Artillery. I Love the mission.

  14. i use the GUI version of the 6 Updater to keep abreast with the ACE2 updates. However, i can't for the life of me figure out how to add any other mod or island to the list it updates when i run it. AND, i found out only today that SickBoy is not 'allowed' to receive private messages :o To save me some embarassment could someone contact me via private message to give me a hand? If this request violates any forum rule I hereby withdraw my request and this post. ;) peace.

    ARE these missions still dependent on the troublesome 'new' caa1 files? These flies 'blew up' all previous missions for that map. May i suggest you that Have JW Customs explain to you how he changed the dependency for his most recent Avagnai mission. Just a thought. ~S~

  18. The update worked flawlessly. Loved the Battlefield noise. Thanx too for 'forcing' me to try a night mission without NVG. I didn't think i had it in me. ~S~
  19. i didn't want to be the 'naysayer', but ... and as a continuation from the problems with Phantom Fury (?) ... These new files 'blew up' the Map for ALL previous missions i had for Avgani. When i restored the previous files all was good again. "illusive" is the only word that comes to mind for Avagani. There are a number of other less worrisome maps that simulate the MidEast environs: Afghan Village, Rahmadi, Shakar, are 3 that come to mind ... ~SALUTE~

    My method was to 'crest' the hill at the LZ with my AI Fire Team. Endure a long range firefight in an attempt to 'thin out' the opposition, and also to remain close enough to the ammo boxes at the LZ for rearming my team several times. Then careful bound overwatch to get within a block of the HQ. Another standoff fire fight, with me on a nearby roof, to take out the technical, and snipe a few guys Inside the HQ. Then CQB to get at the few remaining 'campers' (smile) Nice mission indeed. IRIE.

    You don't waste any time, do u? i 'stumbled' upon the 'preview' of Taliban Nights on Utube. I Love you man! (said in my deepest manly voice) btw: u're Great mission maker, BUT u a lousy shot (i mean that lovingly)(tongue in cheek) ... try leading your target ... LOL! IRIE.

    There is one file i spotted that i dont have in my install: "caa1_r_opxroads" and it was NOT included in the opx configs. so where can i at least find that one? ... it could very well be the missing link. update- i also found this 5 month old thread at dev-heaven http://dev-heaven.net/boards/27/topics/2000 The new packed OPX configs seem to have dropped the roads config. So i surmise that the mission maker might have used an 'older' version of these files, BUT i could be wrong as usual.
