    "Receiving" screen then nothing

Hi everyone, Just wanted to tell that I got my problem solved. I was wrong :) It was not about the game, drivers or my computer. I borrowed another gtx275 from my friend and it seems that the one I had was fubar. Everything works now :) Although I do get some (not many) random crashes to desktop, but I can always get back to game. Thanks!

Yep two physical processors. It´s not a server computer, its a workstation computer. I do 3d as my work so this is actually my work computer. So how can i limit to one processor? with -cpulimit=1 ? I know about the memory, going to buy more soon.. EDIT: I tried -cpucount=1 / -cpucount=2 / -cpucount=4 / -cpucount=8 ..without any results..it works best with cpucount on 4, but i still get the same AI crash. Maybe my comp is just too bad for this game, gotta go back to Joint Operations : Typhoon Rising :) I love this endless tweaking, maybe they could include a tweakers quide in the retail pack?

uh :) sorry here it goes, im not sure about the mb and psu since they´re factory installed components: Hp Xw8600 Workstation Motherboard : Custom made by Hp, I dont see any model numbers from anywhere? PSU : 800w (from hp) Processors : 2 * Intel Quad Core 5450 3.00 GHz 2x6 MB L2 cache 1333 MHz FSB Memory : 4 GB DDR2-667 ECC RAM Harddisk: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 SATA 3.0Gb/s 500-GB Hard Drive Display Adapter : Asus Nvidia Gtx275 with Nvidia Beta drivers 196.21 (latest) OS : Windows 7 Professional 64bit I did prime95 test overnight (about 12 hours) without any problems, also temperatures are normal. Windows 7 is fresh install on formatted harddrive. I have tested almost everything (optimizing, tweaks)... im sorry if I didn´t provide enough information, this is all I know :) Thanks EDIT : just wanted to add that, this game runs like a dream (in editor) on my computer with high settings. Problem seems to come only when I add Ai´s near me. Crash bum!

hi I´ve noticed strange pattern in this crash behavior. I can play easily in editor as long as I dont go near any soldiers, if any soldier comes near to me (lets say 5-10 meters) and i see him, crash. Sounds like some LOD issue to me? Also this happens when i get inside a vehicle like A-10; as soon as I see interior (control panels ect) crash, receiving. I can still control all vehicles from outside without crash. Also I get this recieving crash when choose my player to be lets say AT -soldier and also if I look my character from third person. Please this is VERY frustrating, i spend a lot of money for new stuff to get this working. ..and my computer specs are way above recommended comp specs. I also did all memtest stuff, ect. No overheating issue, nothing. Other games work perfectly. Hoping to get this solved... Thanks
  6. Hi. To me Arma2 has been a freaking disaster. I bought the game from Steam and I bought a new display adapter and Win7_64bit to get this running. No luck. If I run editor / sandbox everything runs smoothly with everything on high settings (10km ect ect), but problems seem to come when AIs are added. If I add a AI next to me and turn to look him, immediatly I get TDR...nvidia kernel..pla..pla. I can look enemy AIs with sniper scope, no crash. But if I look friendly AI, crash. It doesn´t seem to be a system problem, at least all the other games are running smoothly with high settings on everything. My system specs: Hp Xw8600 Workstation Motherboard : Custom made by Hp, I dont see any model numbers from anywhere? Processors : 2 * Intel Xeon Quad Core 5450 3.00 GHz 2x6 MB L2 cache 1333 MHz FSB Memory : 4 GB DDR2-667 ECC RAM Harddisk: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 SATA 3.0Gb/s 500-GB Hard Drive Display Adapter : Asus Nvidia Gtx275 with Nvidia Beta drivers 195.81 (latest) OS : Windows 7 Professional 64bit (fresh install) DirectX : 11 (tried 9 and 10..no difference) ..don´t get me wrong, I have looked all over the forums, tried all the tweaks, memory / system tests, I have reinstalled game couple of times, without any luck. I´ve tested all the nvidia driver version, I have tried betas and shit...I´m loosing it...come on BIS, we´re at 2010!!! Games should work out of a box!!! I am PISSED, and I want my money back!!! Sorry for ranting! THIS IS FOR YOU BIS: :D :D :D :D :D Mikko
