Doesn't this happen to nearly all games on release though?
-
Haha The Panzer 4 should smoke the Russian's T34's in a shot or 2, perhaps you hit its armour at a bad angle. I had some good fun in the tanks, as both Russian and German. The Germans get advantages over long ranges with their better accuracy and firepower, but the Russians should be able to outmaneuver them and hit their weaker sides and rear. I enjoy AI a lot too, Mostly because AI often actively tries to stay together and work together, whereas humans seem to not do it, at all. :p

It's not Tripwires fault, go blame Valve, and their "Valve Time" By the way : http://twitter.com/#!/TripwireYoshiro/status/113667051385655296

The 3 issues I've wanted to be fixed since the start of the Beta are now fixed. *yay* Also, With this one, does this mean that if I fire 10 rounds in 1 clip, then reload, it'll reload that clip again as it's not full or empty? Or have I misunderstood what it does?

Because due to recent Games Beta's, People have forgotten what the concept of a Beta is, as a stage of development to find and remove bugs from the software, and see it more of a "this is how the game will play" demo. People complaining about bugs is to be expected though, and TWI are doing a good job at patching them up so far as they appear. So we can't complain, really.

Plus, not to mention another update with that that should help combat hackers that people are reporting already. (idiots that picked up any UE3 game hacks and just used them would be my guess) and not to mention pro-active devs : 0fXO0RY4_eY http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=59377

Don't run ROGAme.exe as Admin, or it'll throw up that error. I found that out. Another Steam bug I guess.
-
Update just came out. It supposedly fixes the CTD issues at the Server list. (Source)

Steam has clocked 6 hours of me playing today, I've only crashed a few times. All of which were at the server browser, however, Tripwire did say that they've found the issue and are working on a fix (they said it'd probably be the first thing to be fixed) http://steamcommunity.com/games/RO2/announcements/detail/1351300309590726458 So far, I'm having some great fun playing, mostly dying, but I'm getting some gameplay in there too. hehe. :)
-
If you're getting crashes on the server browser/around there, I don't think there's a *real* fix. I found just moving my cursor to the edge of the screen and not moving it until the server browser finishes updating, makes it better. Might just be a placebo for it once working after doing that, but hey, it's worth a shot. :p Currently, Noone has figured out what causes the crash or has a valid fix.
-
Where are you getting CTD's? And as said on the forums Steam\steamapps\common\redorchestra2beta\Binaries\Windows and run the UE3Redist.exe and pbsvc_hos.exe files, and try again. :) (Source)

Yeah! I'm having a real blast playing this, Great fun. Lots of dying for me though. :p

It was a crazy room. That chat room was literally 1,000 spammers, seriously, It was proper conversation back when it was under 200 people just chatting, it didn't last long. :p Also, I want everyones Internet speeds, I'm 1/2 way done so far. :(
-
and now the long wait as it downloads ...
-
Yes, they will not be forgotten any day soon, RIP both John and his son.
-
Haha, Contact steam support, They should give you a refund so you can purchase the correct version as far as I know, at least. :)
-
Sorry then, There's been a lot of footage popping up. I must've missed the ones with 10v10, Got any links?
-
But then again, We're only seeing 3v3 or 4v4 battles on a game designed for 32v32 It doesn't seem too bad, a few messages, but either in 32v32 it's much worse, or it doesn't seem as bad. But I agree, whilst stood above friendlies it's not a good idea to yell "I know they're close" near the enemies. :p
-
Well there is no arguing there anymore, they're more hyped over the Beta coming in around a day or two, but it was ping-ponging between both. I was just more interested with the DE/RU voices as that caused more conversation. I actually didn't see that much 'bickering' over the actual chatter in TWI's forum?
-
No, It's just that's TWI's view of it, it's better for gameplay to be able to understand your teammates than not to. Whether you agree or not. Yes, Lots of games have people speaking their native languages such as Germans speaking German and Russians speaking Russian. Even some older CoD's did it, alternatively, there's plenty of games that are in English and noone complains. Odd. Maybe ... Same with me, I can understand some simple German phrases, but cannot understand anything in Russian. To me, so long as there's subtitles, It's not that much of a problem.
-
You talk as if I'm an idiot on that first line, Obviously English is not the only language, but many people are not bilingual or know Russian/German. Yes, But the problem is, In the end TWI have to make gameplay decisions over realism/authenticy ones. People can easily pick up simple lines and phrases, but is being able to hear the guy talk German where you then have to fiddle about looking at the bottom of the screen at some subtitles before realizing he said "Grenade" better than being able to understand what is being said? I don't really mind either way, As I know some German and are continuing to learn it (alongside French, I know No Russian, so I'm screwed with them), So I can understand some of what's being said by them. It's just inconvenient to have to pause and look at subtitles whilst someones yelling "Grenade, Get to cover" at you, Either in German or Russian. He's right though, The voices aren't there to set the scene or tell a story, they're there to tell you to Move your ass cause there's a grenade at your feet.
-
Yes, But with the supposed 3000 lines of Battlechatter, both in Russian and German ...
-
It's all over what people think feels more realistic, Being able to understand what your people are saying in what is *supposedly* your native tongue. or being able to hear them speak in their native tongue. For me, I'd rather hear the guy yell "In the west - Enemy Tank" rather than "Im Westen - Feindlich Panzer!" As I'd be able to understand it much easier. And when it comes to Russians, I wouldn't be able to understand a word of it; and whether that's "more realistic" or not, it's damned annoying to have someone yell "grenade" and not be able to understand what he's saying to you. :D But they should have a patch/optional DLC that adds the original voices in for those that want them. As TWI said they wont due to it taking up too much memory.
-
Good to hear, But he's not the first and is surely not the last, sadly.

You have me? :D
