Just patch it so that Starforce 21 lands exactly on the coordinates you call air pickup or drop off for. I'd rather be personally responsible for the chopper not crashing rather than the continual gamble that maybe he's going to land in a tree or building and get my squad killed. Obviously debugging the AI properly takes time and effort, but forcing the chopper to land exactly where the player tells it to is a great compromise fix.

Are you serious? Why are they making an expansion when they haven't fixed the first game yet? The single player campaign is so riddled with bugs it's unplayable without giving oneself a stress ulcer

I'm playing the single player campaign on Badlands. I can recruit more troops, but they all get added to my fireteam. How can I order them to form another unit so that I can order them using the command view?

The chopper never shows up for me. We roll into the LZ in an APC, blow the shit out of the guys trying to ambush and then.... nothing. To say nothing of Starforce 21 not landing where I ask it to but hovering forever and ever and ever over the forest and never coming down, or leaving with half my team aboard, or...

Manually setting the fan to 100% keeps the temperature to around 80-85 and the game runs ok. Why it wasn't deciding to boost the fan itself is beyond me.

Yikes! The temperature is 67° outside the game, with entries ingame at 89° - 90°. What the hell? This is a brand new card, why's it getting so hot? :/ I'll look in that thread you suggested, too.

I've been trying out the demo lately, and every time has ended with this problem. For no apparent reason, the screen goes to stand-by mode. The length of time before this happens varies and doesn't seem to be related to anything I'm doing in game. My video card is a shiny new XFX ATI HD 4870 (I got it less than a week ago), with drivers off the XFX website.
