    Would it be prudent for me to buy a 1gb ati5670, and crossfire it with my 512mb ati5670?

    Right now it appears my vram runs out (ground textures stop loading after a while, especially in big battles, and I get cluster star artifacts, and other artifacts). I think it has to do with my card running out of room. But I'm not positive an extra gb would help because the 5670 is low on the totem pole for the 5xxx series. Btw the MB can handle two pcie at 16x speed.

    you cannot crossfire diffrent GB cards

    also, when in Xfire, the memory doesnt go to,

    example: i have 2x 1gb 5770s, thats 2gb, but am able to use only 1 gb

    BUt you can crossfire diffrent brand ATi cards, but gotta be from same family

    X4 925 @2.8 1 x 5770 4gb win7 64 bit with none of the alterations above and the fps is fine, what are you getting ?

    im getting 60fps, but as soon as i get into a city ( where i mostly like to fight ), it drops to around the 20-25fps mark, which is crap

    i did do a little testing, and it hasnt hit below 30 in a city now, which is fine cause im slow paces and 30fps is smooth

    will see how it goes though

    ps, i think MP lag has a little to do with FPS drop, i was getting good FPS in a MP game ( 16 ping ), then abou 20 people joined, and my fps were getting lower and lower

    If you look at the MHQ, there should appear "MHQ Menu" action to the action menu. Pressing it opens up the menu where you can deploy it.

    nup, its just got load box, nothing else, EDIT: oh wait, when your outside of it? i was trying to do it when inside it lol, il try when outside it next time i play

    I got CF running by adding the -winxp to the startup parameters and renaming the .exe with mklink to arma2.exe. However CF at the moment does not really help, it seems to run more or less similar fps only unstable.

    Looks like i need to wait for the official profile. I'm expecting that CF in the near future will increase performance in OA for sure as it works already very well for A2.

    i cant change the damn .exe because steam wont launch it if i do :( :( :(:(

    is there any word on an official profile?

    this is giving me the shits

    firstly, my specs

    x4 620 @ 3ghz

    Xfire 5770's

    4gb

    win7 64bit

    does anyone know how to make OA and/or arma2 run better, it runs like poop and it drops into the low 20s most of the times, even if i change to all low ( which i shouldnt need to ), my FPS dont even change

    someone please help me

    just ran benchmark and got more FPS running single GPU

    wtf..

    sorry serverloh, will take your advice next time, and i didnt find the editing section, i just type it into google and it took me to these forums lol. sorry about that. also, thanks jimber. didnt know the aircraft ship was there :D

    1 thing about the markers though, when i place a marker, it doesnt show up in the game, i tryed 50 diffrent ways last night and i cannot get 1 to show up.

    anyways, il go try again following your ways, ( i might have done something wrong ). and il see what happens

    im new to these forums so i dont know if this is in the right place, sorry if not, thanks

    i want to know how i can make a marker appear on the in-game screen, i made some tanks and the objective is to blow them up, however, i dont know how to make that the objectice? get what i meen.

    i place a marker nere them, but nothing shows up when i start the game,

    i cant seem to find one in the vehicles in the editor, but i joined a multiplayer match that was on one, ( and it wasnt the campaign one )
