    TMR Modular Realism

Having tried this mod, I have to say the amount (or the lack of) any recoil when the weapon is supported is enormously unrealistic. The accuracy of the weapon is so high when rested even on typical surface that you would be the worlds greatest marksman (I'm not even kidding, I tested it and I would have won every single competition I was in) even on full auto fire mode. Without having a physical support strapped to the weapon you are not going to hit a target 150m away with full auto fire mode. Especially when prone the accuracy is mindbogglingly high. When I was doing nationwide competitions in the army (finished in the final three, Finland 2006), without a built in support (sandbags, carefully planned firing position and bipods etc) for the weapon, using automatic fire was inaccurate for targets beyond 80m. With this mod, I am very effective at ranges >200m with full auto and just prone with no support. With this mod, I am performing several orders of magnitude better than one would in real life situations and competitions. When prone, the only part of your gun that might touche the ground is the magazine, which is a highly unstable platform to support your gun on. This mod behaves as it is a strapped/weighted bipod with sandbags around it. I would have won the entire country competition with a single automatic fire burst, with no support while on prone at a target 150m away in just a half a second...using this mod. The recoil needs to be substantially higher than what it is to represent real life marksman performances. I apologize if I sound a bit too ranty, but this is an important topic for me :)
  2. My mod relies on changing the blast radiuses of various explosives and for some reason I seem to be unable to change the indirectHit and indirectHitRange values at all. For the sake of example, this doesn't seem to work: class CfgAmmo { //class Default; didn't seem necessary //class GrenadeCore; didnt' seem necessary class GrenadeBase; class G_40mm_HE; class G_40mm_HEDP: G_40mm_HE { access = 1; indirectHitRange = 15; indirectHit = 12; }; }; How do I do it and what did I do wrong?

    Preference of Arma 2 equipment

All of the weapons and vehicles in ARMA3 exist in real life already, except for two. They aren't really fictional at all...
  4. I noticed that the game loads the map very fast, but then I am put into a second loading bar that fills incrementally each second and doesn't seem to load anything. First, there is the first loading bar that fills almost instantly, then the long second one. I started ALT+TAB:ing out of the second loading bar that fills slower and noticed that I can load the game and map twice as fast by tabbing out of the game during the second loading bar. Is this a bug or what? It feels like there should be an intro playing on the second loading bar, but there isn't and there is no other way of skipping it other than tabbing out and back in.
  5. I certainly have walked miles holding an assault rifle with one hand like that, it usually has a strap that helps and you can rest it on top of any magazine pocket on your vest. The walking animation is a very comfortable position and in ARMA3 they shift from one-hand to two-hand holding animations after a few minutes naturally....like you would often do in real life. There is no problem and the animation is very realistic.

    Fast walk - how?

SOLVED: In order to walk faster with weapon up, assing "SLOW FORWARD" to your W key (walk forward button as default). This way the game recognizes two keystrokes for walking forward for some reason, and makes the player WALK a bit faster while aiming down the sights. I found out this by noticing that (default settings) when I walked forward (W key) and pressed UP ARROW the faster walk initialized. Then I just tested every possible key combination and found out that assigning SLOW FORWARD to the same key as the default walking forward (W key), it will show the key assigned as red but it will work flawlessly.
