    They better have female soldiers...

    IIRC the Israeli Defence Forces are sending women on front line duties. I think it is the only army doing this. There were women on the front in the second lebanon war and some even died. Besides, there are many guerilla movements with womens in it. I would like female soldiers.

    crcti missions and suggestions

    one more note since you search for missions similar to ofp cr-cti: All three links above will lead you to missions still based on the original ofp-scripts from cleanrock. Some changes are made (for working jip, modified scripts etc), but the core is the same. The proman cti is played every sunday, 16:00 on the angry insects server.

    2011 - Warfare Team - Tournament

    Since this is going on and going on, I have to throw in my 5 cents too... I played this match as a sort of guest player for hotshots, so I speak for me and not for them. I was very surprised about the victory condition too. Also, i was bugged and could not buy anything in the base. But there is enough said about this. Something more general: Rubber, i only played 4 tournaments of different kinds in ofp and arma2. I can say one thing thought: There is no such thing as a friendly tournament, not in my experience. Tournament means you want to win. It means emotions are going high. And thats ok, because that makes the fun of it. Every tournament I played, there was heat in the air, and there was a fight even when the game was over. If you start organizing a tournament, you need very, very strong nerves. Of the 4 tournaments I played, one crashed because the man behind it had enough of the fights... one almost crashed but was finally played to the end, but no one was happy with it because of massive rule changing in the middle of the league... two were played to the end, but even there, the fighting in the forums was not what you would call educated. One thing that always heats things up is when the guy who defines the rules and who explains the gaps in the rules is someone who played the match himself. He will never be seen as objective. Changing rules and not writing it down for everyone is a no-go btw. One more thing to the game itself: You were annoyed by hotshot asking questions in global chat. Fair enough. But calling them pigs in global chat in return (or whatever the word was) and saying they were close to a ban opend the door for all heat that followed.
  4. One annoying thing that was in Arma1 from start and is still the same with latest patch: AI-Driving Skill, especially when you are gunner in a tank or lav and you have an ai as driver. You order him to drive straight forward into cover and he drives back first. However without ai, the game seems polished to me.

    It is a bug: http://dev-heaven.net/issues/15176 It is very annoying. CrCti for example is unplayable now. I hope they fix this really soon or i cant play my most loved arma2 mission anymore and therefore wont play the game much more at all. So please vote for this bug on dev heaven :j:

    OPFOR thermal optics in ComOps

    As far as i saw it, there is a second problem with vanilla-arma2-units: They always shine in thermal vision (cars with engine off for hours!), while for oa-units, only the parts which are hot are shining. I really would like a patch for this and also for thing like zeroing the tank gun etc. In my view, oa and arma2 are not really integrated. I like arma2 and i also like oa, but i really think there are problems when you start to mix the two, especially in pvp.
  9. Im sure im not the first one to write this but i did not found the topic. There is a very annoying problem with the tusk in both Arma2 and OA. AI does not fire with RPG against the Tusk when the loader is in, it fires with the ak74. Even the t55 does not fire his heat round, but with mg against the loader. T72 fires sabot like it should. If there never was a loader in the tank, the problem is gone. This is a problem for all Warfare and CTI missions for example.

    Turns out i really was too dumb for search function. Bug was reported a year ago: http://dev-heaven.net/issues/1744 @Antonkr: You need ai, especially the loader, in your tank. From 4 bugs i reported 2 were duplicates :(

    :) However, the problem stays. In a warfare, a player in a tusk can take one town after another because ai-soldiers wont shoot their rockets.

    ARMA 2 (OA) : DLC discussion thread

    As some others here, the thing i probably would pay for, are big, detailed islands. Maybe also for new factions. But certainly not for campains. As long as the dlc does not meen there wont be any support for modders anymore, i dont mind.
  14. First, I have to say i like mando rockets a lot. One question / suggestion: If you are far away from targets, you have no possibility to know what kind of targets they are. So maybe you shoot a uaz, but there is a tunguska near it. Is there any possibibilty to get something like a target identification or did i miss something? Anyway, this is only a problem because i often play missions with space-key disabled.

    Yes CR it is alive! And although it has some problems because the scripts are made for ofp and not arma2, i still find it the best cti for arma2.

    Looking for a new CTI

    I just registered for this :) Anyway: There is an editited Port of the old CrCti mission from Squeeze, i dont have the link now, mission has some bugs thought. Also there is another CrCti-Mission based on Squeezes Port with less bugs which uses addons/ standard units with edited Configs for better balance which you can find here: http://web320.login-85.hoststar.ch/sge-clan/homepage/phpkit/include.php?path=forumsthread&threadid=79 (Note this is a german site) Some problems with this mission, mainly with JIP, but its playable and really feels like old Flashpoint CrCTI. Third: Benny from Hotshot-Clan, the benny who also made WarfareBE, tries to make an Old-School CTI, theres not much info about it yet: http://hotshots.folkersma.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=1952 One more note: The CrCti-Mission from my first link also has the Problem with vehicles exploding after a player leaves them, seems to be an engine-problem??
