No. The concept does work. OFPDR was poorly executed.

All you PC fanboys need to get lives or expand them. OFPDR proved that milsim games can work on console in general.

Walker, I would love to see an Arma-style game on console but bear in mind that info is two years old. Apart from the OA dev footage of the 360s, I haven't seen many updates, hints etc.

I went on the CM forums and a lot of people are pissed. Time to step up BIS and take this market. To all you PC fanboys, if BIS wanted/s to bring an ArmA 2 style game to console, they'll find a way. It's not up to you to decide. @ AVIBIRD 1, I like what you're doing but... ArmA2 - The Xbox 360 thread

Hi, long time lurker first time poster. Ever since I tried to play ArmA on my old yet faithful PC, I've wanted a game like it on XBox 360. The run-and-gun style of play is fun but it's boring; it's the skeleton of pretty much every XBox 360 FPS. When OFPDR was announced for the console I was happy since my wish seemed to come true. But it didn't. Eight years of development and only eleven missions? No mission editor (Far Cry 2 has an excellent one. My only gripe is that you can't make single player missions). I only got half a game. The only consolation is I paid $70 AUD buying it from the UK instead the usual $120 AUD in Australia. I'm presently toying with the idea of selling it. I'm tired of all the PC fanboys. They seem to have a juvenile sense of superiority just because they own PC. If you use that to feel better about yourself, you need to get outdoors more. Granted you have the ability to readily upgrade but I prefer consoles since the games are made to run on the specs of the machine. I don't have to spend money upgrading. PC and console is just a matter of preference and or money. To BIS, I hope this thread lets you know there are plenty of console owners who really want to play your games. You just have to look on the CM forums not to mention those who haven't spoken up. If you can produce a game that's everything or (most things) OFPDR isn't the console market is yours.
