  1. that is exactly whats happening. So thats fine by me, all good.
  2. First of all, this is a great mod, that is just plain awsome to play. The randomness and on going battles makes it superior to other mods in my opinion. so, great job. I noticed, one of my squad members was badly injured, so i used the manage team to remove him from my squad. seconds later I came under fierce attack, so I decided to add him back. when I did this, he ws fully healed and not injured. I tested this a few other times, and it appears re-adding dropped members, heals them. Now, I could be mistaken perhaps, and if not, this would only be a minor bug. Is it a feature or a bug? thanks
  3. Ok, so I read the readme, and yeah, you need BAF and PMC installed....doh, shouldda read first huh? so anyway, havent seen an answer to whether COOP will be a version. Would be great to play with buddies. Thanks for all the work WL6
  4. Hey just tried this mod for the first time. I have been away from ARMA II for a while, and read about this, so I decided to give it a go. All I can say is "Good Gosh". I, well my team rather, got hit in a ravine bordering a village, and it was insane how the engagement played out. The entire structure of this mod creating a war on the map is off the chart. And, the ongoing war feels organized too. You just dont come onto random units wanding and jumbled up. You come into the middle of an engagement. Well done I say! Anychance a COOP version may be released? One other thing, that may be in already, but I have to ask? Is the chopper support for transport? Thanks for this brilliant mod. WL6 ---------- Post added at 03:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:54 PM ---------- I noticed Arma II has 2 smaller addons you can buy. 1. British Forces and 2. Private Military. will this mod work correctly with just A2 and OA? I have those 2 installed and it seemed to work fine. I chose a user defined mission and selected british and US, and I don't recall seeing any brits show up, so I thought I would inquire. Thanks WL6
  5. Forgive my noobness please. I am asking if there is an installation instruction portion? The readme explains very well how to use it, but with all the content in the downloaded file, what goe where exactly? any advice is appreciated. Thanks and great work ---------- Post added at 05:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:57 PM ---------- found answer on page 4, sorry and thanks all
  6. I found a way to fix this issue. The way my mission is set up is, you respawn into the next available AI unit in your squad. (in the init file it is respawn = 4; ) The problem I had was with the Advanced Inury System Module. When you were incapacitated, the AI would take command of your squad and you lost command. Now, if you changed the respawn to 5. (respawn = 5; ) in the init.sqf file, it will allow you to chose who you respawn as which eliminated the problem for me. I hope this may help
  7. a little help needed. for some reason it did not work for me. I copied the exact lines you provided into my init file. I put it at the top because right now my init file has the configurations in it for SecOP Module. These files are placed in my mission folder. I start the game go to multiplayer and create. I make a room and chose a player then start and it is always the default time. any help is appreciated. The one thing I wonder is.....when I save my mission in the editor. I chose export to multiplayer. It seems to not create any folder in my documents/arma II/other profiles/MPmissions. it is updated in my missions folder, yet is stil available in multiplayer. Could this be the problem? do I need to physically copy and paste the mission folder into the MP mission folder? thanks for any help
  8. does anyone have a a method or script that you can add to your mission so each start has a radom time of day? thanks
  9. whats the ETA on this great sounding system? I didnt play Arma, so Arma II is my first experience. I am still in "AWWW" mode over the SECOP modules, so imagine what this will do. When is its release or estimate? thanks

    wow

this is just a holy crap this game is great post. I don't mean to take up bandwidth, but I got to say it. I am very new and am having a helluva time with the learning curve, but at the same time enjoying learning it. Last night I opened the editor, place a force recon squad, made the leader a "player', sync'd a SOM module, a first-aid module, a BC module, and an ambient civie module. I then hit preview. It turned into an hour and a half of play time. I received missions from rescue to assault. The action was great! it ended with my team being WTF owned in a small town. My medic got hit, and i tried to get to him. Due to the fact the enemy had a machine gunner covering the street, and I had to go in the open to get the medic, led to my untimely demise. When I closed the editor last night, I though to myself...."wow, that all just happened by me placing a squad and a few modules" Is this game truly great or what? one question though........How can I make my squad walk "point"? I am always the point guy, and I am still learning. If I use 1-2 they advance way to far. I just want someone, or part of my team to stay 10-15 meters in front of me and move as I move. any help is appreciated.
  11. Hello All, I am sure this has been brought up before, so forgive me. I did numerous searches but Have not found the specifics. So I decided to ask here. Anyway, I am just seeking experienced players to point me in the right direction and give advice on how to get decent at this game. First off, I want to say this is a great game. I bought OFP2: DR, and like it, but am pissed about the 64 entity rule on maps and the editor is completely scripting focused. (so much for making missions in 10 minutes like this game ) anyway, my problem is i S U C K at being a soldier here :( How do you veteran guys determine where the attack is originating from and all that good stuff. When I come under attack, I have to usually look at my AI counter parts to see where they are firing at. I either end up with never seeing the enemy in time before my team kills them or I end up on my back screaming for a medic. This game rocks for realism, I just really want to like it, and I need input on how you guys handle squad or team movements before and during combat, and what role you play. I.E. toward the back issuing orders, or up close and personal. I am figuring out the command interface. good grief,...press spacebar, hit the number 1 key, scroll down select move...or hit the 2 key key and scroll down to find target.....look at the screen....its red, im dead hahahahaha. I am getting batter at that though. Please send in tatics, tips, reading material websites, what ever. I appreciate any advice and hints from the PROs.....again great game this is. anybody notice the AI can shoot a quarter at a 1000 meters with a 9mm hand gun? hahaahah
  12. can someone please tell me how to do this for first aid? yhr book says it is F7 but when I press F7 nothing happens and i see no selection for it. pleease help?
