Finished up a selection of music that sets the mood of the mission (some of the music are remixed by me specially for this mission. :) )... now to sort out how come my "player in thislist" trigger stopped working all of a sudden...mmm... -

@Mysteryman, let me release the ACE version first and then polish things up a little before releasing the non-ACE version. :) Its 100% ok since I am using nothing more than the ACE units, weapons, rucksack, CSW and PLA units. I am even using default BIS wounding system so you get plenty of wounded people lying around waiting to be healed if you are willing to do so. :) -

Thanks a lot guys for the attention! :) OMG, you guys have encouraged me to raise the bar soooo much! Ok, I have a few more ideas up my sleeve which I am going to make happen in this mission so I am going to take a while longer on it. It is going to be a playing style and a "mission" type that you guys have never experienced before. :) Nothing like the conventional "give a task, complete a task" type of mission. I really throw you into an environment with a TON of things happening very quickly and you decide how you want to fit in. :) Also, I am making 3 possible endings to this one mission, so no matter what you decide to do, even the most extreme case of going AWOL, the mission ends somewhat. :) well, what's started as just a simple practise mission for me is now growing into something unique and I hope you guys would enjoy it when its completed. Along with the new things I am adding to the mission, I would need 2 more voice actors, american accent of course, best if its african american accent. :) -

SD, sigh... sadly, a lot of my ideas have not seen fruition since my coding skills are still somewhere next to zero...hahahaa I believe I will catch up quite quickly on that as well since the coding style is not very different from the php css and javascript scripting that I am used to. :) -
SD, basically, in order not to break mission triggers, I set reinforcement to off, advancing on rifles from 600m to 400m and in order not to get knocked out by my own flashbangs, I also set explosion FX off. That's all the setting I did. :)

@Luap, not only is JTD fire visually pleasing, it also opens up the tactical possibility of using fire against your enemy. Since fire spreads amongst trees quite quickly and kills, I use forest fires to kill enemies that are bunched up all the time. (by destroying vehicles near their position. Most positions have at least an UAZ guarding. :) ) -

Perhaps your answer is at http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=94153 ? :) I wanted to have a unique model made for my Project Mayhem campaign too and have been looking around. by the way, the guy fixing up the ammo crates and getting all frustrated (although its obvious the animation is a tire changing one hahaha) is actually a very nice touch! Most mission makers will never put things like that into a mission. Goes to show your focus on story telling and the creation of a living atmosphere. UPDATE: Completed it at last. :) Nice outro! :) The final objective is a lot easier than the rescue pilot one though. We used up all the 5.56rds, all the javelin, all the AT-4, all the SMAW, all the TAC-50 that the humvee carried hehehehe -

Glad you like my ideas. :) I am nothing but a non-stop bag of ideas (and suggestions hated by modders everywhere)...hehehehe If you don't mind one more suggestion, you could start a new thread called "USRanger's Missions" or something and then feature all your missions in episodes like what Jelliz did. Obviously you are doing your missions as "episodes" and as a series. -
@Bahger, well, you could make a shortcut that has GL4 activated and another shortcut without. You cannot turn it off ingame. You can however turn off specific features from the userconfig. It has almost every feature capable of being turned off from the userconfig which makes it extremely user friendly and customisable.

Seconded. Its frustrating watching your teammates walk some distance, collapse for a min and then walk and collapse and you can't do anything about it.

Seconded. As for the RH 416, I would say keep it there. Your missions are the only ones that actually uses these weapons. Gaming is all about a variety of experiences and using ACE weapons all the time gets boring after a while. I mean, its so refreshing to actually drive around in a specop humvee in your mission too! All in all, using user made addons really create an unique experience in your mission, making it different from the other missions out there. Most of us already have these great high-profile mods anyways, why not use it. :) As for those guys in port solus, maybe, make them board the stryker and the humvee on site and leave (of course leave and disappear somewhere) once the conversation is over so that it doesn't feel strange if the player come back to that site to see it empty. :) -
@Bardosy, if you want to see how REALLY DIFFICULT the Force Recon mission can get, try playing it with GL4! Jesus, those guys call in artillery on my position! :) In fact, we are calling the Chesty Puller campaign the perfect campaign to play with GL4 over at the GL4 thread. It really adds so much to the campaign.

USRanger, take your time. You already did soooo well in this release that its good enough to hold for quite a while. :) So far, after playing your 2 missions, I must say that you are an extremely artistic person that not only make games so that they are fun and they work but also make sure they look gorgeous. :) Thanks a lot for the good time, no gay...hehehe -

3 hours is plus total time I played all the way to rescuing the pilot actually and yes, offroad is actually kinda slow too. Not to mention the fact that I actually spent about 30mins in the starting location just exploring everything you did. I even spent about 10 mins watching the specops being punished and walking up to every one of them for a close up look. :) It was so immersive! I really spent time exploring and enjoying every part of that mission! (thats why it took that long. :) ) One suggestion for performance I could make is to actually use the remove body script. There's a TON of dead bodies hanging around hehehe and also spawn the baddies in the town after the player gets close instead of having them right there from the start. :) But seriously, I like the immersion and realism created by having sooo many units and dead bodies around I don't really mind the performance hit...hehehehe -
Then you need to paste your full system on your signature like I did so the rest of us know how to help you. :) In the meantime, try lowering the details. If lowering details helps, then you know what the problem is. :)

@Disney... if you tried more than one game, your software is properly installed and you have never gotten it to work before, I only have the final piece of bad news for you... you probably bought a faulty unit. (assuming you are proficient with installing hardware to your computer and assuming you know how to plug things in properly)
