    Hi hardcore gamers, What mouse are you using to play ArmA2 with currently? Share your experience! :) I just bought an IME3.0, still getting used to it since I was used to small mice. The upper arm movement necessary to make it work properly is a bit tiring for me but the precision I get from the low low DPI greatly increased my engagement speed. I mapped my reload and optics button to the 2 side buttons so that I can perform those actions quickly in the heat of the battle without fumbling through keyboard buttons. I used to use a more sensitive 1200dpi mouse but I totally screw up in ArmA due to the long distance of engagement making very quick mouse more of a liability than an asset. Can't imagine how a 400dpi mouse actually works better for ArmA2! :)

    Did you do any registry fixes? If you did, it spoils the SDK engine. Always have to reinstall the SDK software whenever I fix my registry. @Thales, is Shoot dependant on microsoft SDK engine too? Or is it 100% independant? sick and tired of reinstalling everytime I fix my registry.

AT LONG LAST! oh, not to forget the "Spread Out and Search House to House" friendly AI house search command!!!hehehehhe GL4 definitely changes the scape for tactical possibilities in ArmA2. :)

    JESUS!!! The new screenies look awesome (not to mention that this is the first time I ever saw that specop humvee ever being used in a mission)!!! Not to mention you obviously have your rig tweaked for maximum performance! hehehehe. Ok, Jason's voice coming up in Jackal's Hunt! :)

  8. @sickboy, Greatly appreciate the fix! :) I am a fan of the armoury as well. :) ---------- Post added at 05:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:00 PM ---------- Have anyone experienced a bug where you take some grenades out of the rucksack and they show up as red in the top right corner and you are unable to use them unless you pack them back in again and then unpack them again? Has it been reported yet? Also, none of the russian weapons show the magazine weight dialogue, just the animation.

    UPDATE : Completed this mission at last!! 3 days of play! One day for each secop! The final secop was HELL ON EARTH! In the end, everyone was bleeding, injured, out of bandages and out of bullets! Praise the Lord for ACE Flashbang + Throw (Short)! Without this combo, I won't be able to storm into the room where the final objective is and kill all the guards and not the objective himself! All in all, I personally emptied about 80 mags of AK, 30 mags of Tac50, 40 mags of Bizon ammo and 10 mags of 5.56 in this mission (along with another 10 flashbangs and 20 grenades)! The MOST ammo I have EVER expended in one mission! hahahahaha!

    @Supra, its working. Gibbing is not 100%. It is based on a % chance when the enemy is killed using a big calibre weapon such as a M2. It definitely works for me.

    Praise the Lord for the weekend! hahahaa... I will try to finish this mission today as well.. darn, its more difficult than i thought especially with GL4 and its really FUN! The limited vision created by the fog and snow makes spotting enemies under fire very challenging as well. The well designed panthera peaks which are about 600m from peak to peak really extends the firefight all the way to their max engagement range. Very well done! :)
  13. I think it is possible through GL4 because I have sometimes seen enemy AI haul ass when using GL4. :) Sometimes, when a single enemy soldier is outnumbered, I see that bugger run away like anything, thats haulling ass! :)

  15. YAYAYAYA! The magazine feeling feature is back! That was one of my favorite features in ACE1 cos its fake as hell to be able to see how many rounds you actually have left in a magazine. That is why G36 mags are made transparent, so you can see and count if you want (and you can still do that with the G36 mags ingame). One thing though, In ACE1, we have this rifle shaking animation for the mag check but now its using the reload animation which looks , well, weird. As for mag count, what we do in RL military is to keep a mental count and if necessary, feel the pouches. I guess the time spent on "feeling" the pouches could be translated into the time taken to go into the Gear screen and count (yeah... I know, gear screen takes way longer)?

    @Supra, yes, both those modules. I also use their faster weapon change, faster grenade throwing, faster stance change modules (Default animations are too slow) and pistol civil modules (hate to point pistols at people when talking).

  18. @SNKMAN, more descriptions of haulling ass. :) During gameplay, there have been some times when you want your guys to quickly just run for their lives away from the front line maybe because you hear an incoming artillery shell or you see a grenade being thrown or you are about to blow up a sachet, right? But what happens when you run away? Your guys either don't follow you at all or start to do the stupid cover to cover thing and getting away very slowly, right? Haul Ass is a command to tell them to just get the hell out of there, just drop whatever they are doing (with a VERY SMALL % chance of dropping weapons also) and just RUN and get the hell out of there positions towards you. Of course, you would also be running like hell away right? So everyone would be running the hell away in a direct straight line away from whatever it is you want them to get away from. got it? In fact, the best voice over for the "Haul Ass" command is "RUN!!!" Oh one more feature request... I know you don't make alterations to friendly AI but since enemy AIs are able to rearm themselves automatically, certainly our friend squad mates should be able to do that too. Many times, when I manually ask them to take up a new weapon, that new weapon is like a mile away and he runs away to that far away weapon instead of the one right in front of him. Could you please make friendly AI auto rearm too please? :)

    @ArmAFreak, hey, very nice to have a real hunter in the community. :) Welcome! :) Well, that buddy of mine, he never ever came back into combat, ever...so... yeah... even one pistol shot is nasty. its really not like in the game where a pistol shot to the leg is merely like a red paintball hit. @USRanger, thats what the other seamen say about us ship stormers too...hahahaha!

    awaiting! :) now that you have scripting and mission making more or less in hand, you could start working on really character building those guys, you know, in terms of giving them more personality or perhaps some background etc. :)

    @Archamedes, yeah, watched that movie and found it as "realistic" as it gets on screen. :) And yes, its a game and truly, realism isn't a big issue here and thats the reason why ArmA is the only game I play. All the mods available allows you to modify gameplay to what you really enjoy and thats the most important thing... to enjoy the game. :) Change whatever you hate and have a good time (ok, sometimes frustrating time when missions won't complete..haahhaa).
