    Exaclly, more realistic, they actually just painted it blue without any of this color diffrence..

    They should also inplent a water transperant on shallow water like in crysis, that should be awesome.. (there will be underwater anyway so its not like it's unneeded).

    I give the water texture a 2/10 ATM of what BIS can make it look like, they can do much better then that.

    Hi all

    First up lighting is much brighter in ArmA III and the sea colour more what you get in southern and mediteranian seas rather than the northern seas of OFP and ArmA I and ArmA II.

    Will add more later once I watch more of it.

    It's in alpha, if not , in pre-alpha . What did you expect ? Plus did you not see the uderwater part ? Does that look like just a little physx to you ?

    Who cares about underwater, I prefer to see a realistic gameplay on ground , then we can move underwater..

    seriously I just watched the videos and it's just arma 2 with some tweaks and maybe a little physx, I hope this is their pre alpha but if al their going to do is tweak the graphic a little add some physx and improve little more thing than I am not buying it, the drving is exaclly the same.. crap.. now you can just slam into some objects with physx.. haha , what a joke.. we in 2012 soon (when it should release) not 2002.

    I just saw Arma 3 was announced a few days ago, and I got excited, not it's all gone.

    Hey there, I just found out it actually my router fault (tp-link) I disconnect it and connected to my modem directly and boom I can join any server without problem, I am glad I solve it but it's still weird as I don't have any problem with other online gaming with my router, so right now I can only play multi with router disconnected.. but I would like to know what exacly causing the router to make this and what it actually blocks that prevent arma 2 to join multiplayer servers, any one got a tp-link router can help out? I am sure there some specific setting in there that causing the problem, but I can't figurte out which one as I tried most of them already.

    Can't really call them complex. And driving doesn't feel realistic, at all.

    The only type of vehicle that feels real are helicopters. Planes to some extent.

    And maybe tracked vehicles.

    But not cars, or truck or bikes. Argh.

    Would be cool with some DiRT 2 handling. That's realistic.

    I agree that the driving doesn't feel realistic at all. I wuld be happy for some normal suspension and hit detection along with some damage model as well, not too complex, but in today's gaming technology what we get in arma 2 driving is very basic. planes and helicopters do fell better but they still lack the damage model, arma 2 in general as well.

    Hello everyone!

    I am yet to solve this annoying recieving data in multiplayer, I tried all the things you can think of (updating drivers , enabling ports, disabeling firawall etc..) but till today I wasn't able to join a single multiplayer game :mad:.

    The problam is after the mission file loads, after that it goes on to reicieving data forever , I tried a lot of servers and got the same problam with each of tham. So now I am here to ask if anybody who has/had this problem can help me solve it , any help would be appreciated.

    Same here. I always hope that maybe the next patch will somehow resolve this problam for me , but now with 1.55 same happends as from the day I bought the game. I never ever manage to play single multiplayer game, and haven't seen any fix or recognation about this problam\bug. I tried switching off firewall, open ports , disable any blocking software or protection but none helped.

    It's just unbelievable to me that I bought this damn game and I can't play online.

    Seriously buddy, do you normally call in somewhere abuse them then ask for help ?

    You say it isnt your router, I think you should check that again buddy, and also your firewall, NOT all multiplayer games are the same and some need a little tweaking sometimes, check your port forwarding, check you are patched up, check your firewall is not blocking Arma.... IM guessing that some of the other guys here will be able to help you out much better than me, but first, Try being nice, then if you dont get any joy, you can kick and stamp your feet all you like.

    Check if my firewall blocking arma ? yes its blocking arma and I dont want to let it go . Its not that I have checked it already , its some sort of a bug in the game.

    I have a 'recieving data' stuck on any server I try to join and since I bought Arma 2 OA I couldnt play a single multiplayer game , the problam is not with my internet or router becouse I didnt have it on any other multiplayer .

    Its a shame I bought a game and I can't play it and nobody cares (BIS) and I am not the only one with this problam till today .

    Its just make you not buy any single game from them.
