Hope I'm in the right place... How do I manage CPU controlled squads. I would like my machine guns re-armed and manned that I have around my FOB's. How can I do this?

I just purchased the ARMA 3 Apex edition from BIS. I have my steam account and finally...somehow...got the game in Steam and it is downloading. This is not an intuitive process of buying the game and downloading it AT ALL. Where is all the extra DLC and extras I am supposed to get? Will all the DLC like Marksman and Helicopters be installed automatically? Do I need a code to play or install once I have game downloaded? Where would I find this code? The only code I received was to activate my Steam account. I only see ARMA 3 in my games list...I do not see any of the other DLC.

It is the normal sight i am missing...not crosshairs

I was really hoping it was that simple but SHIFT+F didnt work. I use Six Updater for the keeping up with the updates and installation of them as well.

The normal view gun sight is missing from my game. I have not seen if this is the case with vehicles yet but it is definitely not there for rifles or handguns. If I use a rifle with a scope, I still do see the crosshairs in it. I have these mods installed: ACE ACEX CBA Binkowski face Camo 31st_MEU GMJ_SightAdjustment 20thSFG(camo uniform for 20th SFG by Binkowski) DC(Digital Compass) SAP(Everon) SOWmod JTD(Fire & smoke) I did not have this problem when i first installed ACE but it is a problem now. I know others that have the MEU & GMJ mods that are running ACE and do not have this problem so I think it rules out those two obvious choices. Plus the sight was there before ACE. Does anybody have any idea what i need to get or do to get this sight back? Thanks

I am investing in new hardware for my PC. Intel i7Quad 860 2.8Ghz 4Gb Corsair RAM DDR3 ATI Sapphire HD5870 1Gb GPU Windows 7 Are there any compatibility issues I should be aware of? I have read mixed reviews for people using Windows 7. Can i get my video settings for the game all in the high or very high range. Is the 1.04 patch ok and no problems with this set-up. I am mostly concerned with the Windows 7 and HD5870 compatibility but i would appreciate any other feedback that is given for this set-up. I am fairly new the multi-player gaming and i have a few questions about the way it works. 1. What does the "Ping" number mean? I played on a server from Australia and my ping was too high. They kicked me when they found out i was from the USA. I only played with them a few times but i liked their server/team. They seemed to really be organized and into tactics. 2. How does the ranking work? I am still a Private but have had quite a few kills...mostly in Domination games. Does this type of game count towards your ranking? How long does it take to go up in rank and what are the parameters? 3. Does anybody have any tips for seeing the enemy? I have a rough time determining where thay are at and it seems that whoever i am playing with can always see them before i do? Any suggestions? 4. Just a curious question here....what are peoples favorite weapon of choice for Domination? As far as a rifle is concerned mostly. I want one with a scope that can see fairly far and still has short fire time between rounds. i.e. not a bolt action or one with a huge recoil kick. I appreciate any feedback i can get. Thanks

I actually did not have a problem with mission 2. Once i got through the beginning and made it to the rally point i was ok. Had to hunt down a sniper. It takes a long time to get where you need to be to get him so you need to start running to the direction as soon as you can...before you are even told about the sniper. If you dont get to him in time, a NPC will kill him for you. I guess that means you dont get a good score:) I had to replay this a few times so I could get the sniper. ---------- Post added at 08:33 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:31 AM ---------- By the way...i read something about a woman in a walkthrough online and I never saw this woman. I played this mission twice and didnt see her. I saw the Doc and escorted him and i did get the report about the mass grave. What benefit does this woman bring?

I figured it out...i think. I redid the mission and this time i did them in order as called out by "Battlemage". This was The House, the tank hidden in the netting, then the mobile tank. When i did them before i did the house then the mobile tank next. Somehow this threw the program off...even though the title up top said the mission was complete. Try it and see if it works.

I have already lasered and seen the targets destroyed. The indicator up top popped up and said complete...yet the tasks in the map section does not check the "designate targets" as done. Yes i have done all three. I now get a yellow marker directing me to formation with my mates but when i get there nothing triggers. When i select more mass garve evidence, i dont even get a new marker. Game is stuck...help. This is the very first mission and i know this game has been out a while. This has not been addressed yet? I have done all the latest patches as well.
