Well, Got this to work now, basically i beta patched it with the latest build i could down load, build 59323. Anyone else having same or similar problems, i suggest that you try the beta builds. Yepp, doesnt help. As i mentioned above, i had the same problem when i had WinXP (SP3), but could run it if i typed in my pw and ran it as an admin. Which then was really strange since my account had admin rights. I'm guessing it has something to do with the securom or copy protection. Its very irritating since i avoid pirated games. ---------- Post added at 12:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:09 PM ---------- What is really funky, is that it worked straight out of the box on my laptop, which is running Windows Vista Ultimate. Only had tons of problem on my Desktop to run this game. Windows 7, is as someone mentioned, Vista done right. All my other games has worked flawlessly on it. Just for some reason ArmA 2 dont work well on it. But when it ran under WinXP (started manually everytime by me punching in my user pw) it ran very well.

I did, i tried to run it in every possible compatibility mode and i just get the same crash.

Hiya, Been having problems starting up Arma 2 on my PC. Earlier i was running WinXP sp3 and everytime i started Arma2 it basically crashed. When i then started it as an Admin (typing in pw) it started. Yesterday i installed Windows 7 and again i have exactly the same startup crash, but when i run it as an admin i get the same crashes.
