  1. I already own all the ARMA1 and ARMA2 stuff and wasn't sure if I wanted PMC, but I took a chance and purchased it yesterday. This mission is making me regret it. Looks like they fixed the "on-rails" issue that previous players hated with a way-point system but I am having my own problems. 1) The way-point system breaks right after the village Garamod and my driver wants to skip a couple waypoints and drive up over the hill, which would not be so bad but then the "client SUVs" refuse to follow me, either getting stuck on the hill or driving off in the opposite direction when I go back and reissue the "next waypoint" command to my driver. This ends the mission saying I failed to protect the client, blah blah blah. They should have just used the standard squad control system in the first place 2) I did not get a UAV hack/control even though I waited at the checkpoint. Maybe the removed it with the lasted update, but they is a UAV flying around I just don't have any means of controlling it. I am truly wondering how this mission ever made it pass in house play-testing, or maybe BIS is using the customers for play-testing in which case I doubt if I will play-test ARMA3
  2. Guess what folks it might not be as hard as you think. I've done it 2 times already, both times with a different method, but I should mention what packages I have. ArmA 2 from Sprocket, ArmA 2 OA standalone DVD Boxed, (also BAF). The first time I used the script supplied in the first post of this thread. Which worked fine, I just had to make a shortcut to it and run it every time I wanted to play "combined operations". But then at on point I uninstalled everything to trouble shoot a different problem (with BAF, but that's another story), and when I got to the point to reinstall my ArmA 2 OA I decided to take a look at the readme on the DVD which stated the following; "It is possible to merge ARMA 2 content with ARMA 2: OPERATION ARROWHEAD. In order to do this: * make sure to install ARMA 2 first * ARMA 2: OPERATION ARROWHEAD should find your ARMA 2 folder automatically during setup (if you want to install ARMA 2: OPERATION ARROWHEAD as stan alone product, select different folder) * ARMA 2 version 1.06 or higher is required, ARMA 2: OPERATION ARROWHEAD will update it during setup automatically if necessary" I did it and it worked without a problem, it even gave me a desktop shortcut called "ARMA 2 Combined Operations". Sorry if someone has mentioned this already but this thread is about 64 pages long...so I guess I just made it longer.
  3. YEAH! BAF is finally activated and installed. Its was a problem at Sprocket (or Idea-Games), the support guy wrote "please try it now, we discovered that Stardock didn't upload all numbers last time..." So try now Fabri and it should work (remember to turn off anti-virus, firewall, etc...) ---------- Post added at 18:19 ---------- Previous post was at 18:17 ---------- Oh..you might want to re-download the BAF setup file. p.s. whatever a Stardock is ???
  4. This is making me ill, I completely uninstalled my anti-virus, firewall, and anti-spyware software (Macfee Internet Security). Turned off all win 7 security features; windows firewall, windows defender, no antvirus at all. Logged in as the Admin, plus ran the setup as Admin with UAC off. Still it won't write the license file!!! Now I am installing ArmA 2 OA on my older winXP machine and will see if BAF will write a license the older winXP machine. ---------- Post added at 19:18 ---------- Previous post was at 17:33 ---------- and a while later... NO, it didn't work on the winXP machine either :-( I really don't know what to do....sounds like refund time
  5. So what connections need to be opened? I would like to get this going as well. ---------- Post added at 16:00 ---------- Previous post was at 15:01 ---------- Same problem.."There was a problem activating ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead DLC: Writing of license file failed" Tried all the following: Run as Admin, disabled firewall, and anti-virus, typed the serial number on at a time, as well as copy paste, I'm running win7 ultimate-64bit, ArmA 2 OA standalone at 1.54 (orginally I had the 1.57 patch installed, which was giving me the same issue so I uninstalled ArmA 2 OA and reinstalled up to 1.54) This really is a pain, why should a expansion pack be so troublesome to activate...any new suggestions?:(
  6. hello, I completed all the task, but never got a task completed after killing Colonel Aziz (killed him after he arrived to the crops). Then I was stuck at the "protect UN officier" task, no attack came, and the officer only said something about why the UN was in Takistan. I trigger didn't work somewhere.

    Zipper5's Missions

No, I actually had them installed on two different PCs, and I don't know if your solution will work with the OA standalone, but Bohemia Interactive has a way to combine both Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA standalone into one game, see here: " http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=101214". I installed (and updated) Arma 2 on the win 7 PC and then ran the "cmd" from Bohemia which did a nice job of giving me a "combined operation" game. And...so far your mission works, at least I''m getting the Squad leader speech now. I will play it more later.

    Zipper5's Missions

Yeah, I already owned Arma 2, so I just bought Arma 2 OA standalone. I wonder if I can install the Standalone OA over Arma 2 ? The only problem is my Arma 2 is for winXP and Arma 2 OA is win 7. ???

    Zipper5's Missions

Squad leader isn't talking to me at the start of the mission. I have the Arma 2 OA standalone, updated to 1.57. I also get a this error " missions\__cur_sp.shapur_baf\mission.sqm/mission/vehicles/Item95.vehicle:Vehicle class land_psi_bouda no longer exists" but the mission loads anyway, but the Squad leader does not finish the conversation as stated above.

    Please help! Tank/APC commander

I can't believe this was overlooked in development. I never had a problem keeping the commander's view on the target in ARMA 1, so why should the newer version go backward. I'm getting more and more frustrated with this release.

    White screen while running

Yes I have the same problem- screen goes white(with only hud visible). I notice if I aim straight up or down the screen returns to normal (sometimes). This has happened in two missions over the last week or so and after installing patch 1.04. Has anyone found a fix for this? And Yes, I'm running a legit paid for ARMA 2. winXP(32) nvidia GeForce 8800gtx
