    I ran into this issue but I thought it was related to a mod I was using, I disabled that mod (can't remember it now) and it stopped happening.

    Oh and resolution also plays a huge and critical part in how well your PC will perform. 1920x1200 will murder most machines. Even I don't run it at that res on my 24".

    I play almost exclusively as Russians in warfare and have noticed that I know understand vaguely what's being said when they shout things. Dont need to look at the subtitles as much anymore.

    Join MP Game with two PCs over one Router

    Have you got a network switch as well as the router or are you plugging directly into the router for both machines? It's generally a better idea to have a network switch (just a small one, they're cheap as) that you plug into the router and then have all your PC's just plug into that. Less hassle and no need to worry about custom configs on the router/PCs.

    Inputting X-52 Pro and Peddles

    I've been using my X-52 with Arma2 and Arrowhead for ages now and had no problem setting it up. I didn't use the Saitek software though, I just went plug n play. Also, I'm keen to hear if anyone else has experiences with the foot pedals that can be attached to the X-52 system as I'm interested in perhaps getting some.

    ARMA 2 (OA) : DLC discussion thread

    Without getting involved in the pissing contest going on above, I'd love to see more content for OpFor added into the game, whether for the Takistanis or the Russians or both. Two examples off the top of my head include: SA-9 for the Takistanis MI-28 for the Russians And of course, my number one wish is to see Arma 2 content updated to OA standards.

    Town generator

    If you place the town generator on a road however, it won't place any buildings on the road itself. So you can have a road running through the town and then all the other buildings near by are just on whatever surface you placed the module.

    I'm an ESDF user here and use one of my mouse (G9) buttons to activate freelook. Then I use my X-52 for flying which also has a mouse style hat on it which I also use for freelook. Who needs TrackIR! :P

    Immersion, propaganda and a clean story.

    I do enjoy the fictional settings but mostly because they keep semi realistic approaches to their new nation creations. To be honest I don't think I'd enjoy it as much if it were set in real Afghanistan or Georgia.

    Yes! Massive massive kudos to you for making this mod! Turns what I thought to be some unusable weapons (in CQB) into survivable weapons now. Particularly the SVD, beautiful work there. If in time we could get the same worked out across the board for all weapons it'd be wonderful

    I've noticed this is somewhat incompatible with the GLT FLIR and Flares mod? Particularly with the SU-25 Edit: Okay upon further investigation it seems that it's only the CHK-29 SU-25 that has the issue.

    Knife proposal

    Hey, I can kill someone with a kitchen sink, better model that in the game too! If you are in a scenario where you need to kill a soldier silently then chances are you are on a special operations mission at which point you would have been given a silenced weapon anyway.
  25. I seriously do not understand how people can friendly fire in incidents other than CQB. Learn the uniforms of your targets and how to identifty weapons they're carrying as well as what sounds they make and you'll never shoot another team mate again. As for map location and what not, if you've played for long enough you should eventually be able to tell your location just from your surroundings alone. Otherwise just use basic map reading skills and use your compass and GPS (if you're issued with one) to identify your location. Time can be telled by the location of the sun in the sky which you can also use to tell your heading. GPS only gives you your current map grid co-ordinates, but this is more than enough for you to figure out where you are and if you need to, double click on the map to add icons showing where you are and where you need to go to. My best suggestion would be to just use the editor, plonk yourself down on the map and then try to get from A-B.
