Hi, I am running Combined Ops with latest patch (1.55/1.08). This campaign looks really promising so I wanted to give it a go. I run it without any mods.
The game freezes in the first mission ("Night" something?), after we exit the APC at the very beginning, but before any contact. I get a Just-In-Time Visual Studio debugger thingy. Arma is still up, but frozen, and I have to kill it with the Task Manager.
Is this supposed to run with OA only?
Thanks for any input

Weird contents of the readme (ARMA2OA_Patch_1_55_readme.txt), though. Note how it says 1.07 and 1.54:

Hm, no I don't know if installing OA will overwrite Arma2 pbo's. Guess that is what you are asking? You could try searching some of the threads related to running Combined operations - I think they are in General.
This one is pretty good: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=101214

Sorry, but don't know all the exact answers. If it helps, I installed OA after having Arma2 installed. It installed into the same directory, but there are separate executables to run. So if you want to run Arma2 "classic" you can still do that.

Hello, I use Zeus AI (the latest one from TS3) and CBA in combined operations. No other addons.
I played a Scenario yesterday (Base of the Day II). As team leader, I got wounded. The medic approached (blue star symbol) and went prone next to me. We were initially under fire, but that eased off. He stayed right next to me but still wouldn't heal me. I spoke "Injured" several times but eventually, I died. Totally crazy, LOL.
Is that a problem with the new Zeus, with the Scenario itself or some third thing?
Thanks for any help

At least consider these things: More and more mods will be for the A2+OA combo, ie. Combined Operations. Same with patches; not many patches, if any, will come out for A2 only.
There are some vietnam mods available already, take a look into the Addon & Mods - Complete forum

Please help - rapidshare has some limit that has been overdrawn :(
Edit: Nevermind - downloaded using the TS3 client, as described a few posts back. That's clever - newer knew TS could do that!

Thanks for a nice mission template

Hi, in OA we got the clock indicator on the screen (lower right corner). Are you saying that calls are not related to that clock ?
-
If you want the updated version to test immediately you can grab it from the Zeus TS3 server, Support & File Repository.Hi, does anyone know what link this would be? Tried the zeus-community.net (which was up) but couldn't find the particular location that Protegimus refers to
Cheers,

Hello, this looks really cool! Can the missions be played as Single Player too - would that require some special technique ?

Thanks Ranger, that may be the cause. Yeah, the colors are almost psychedelic (sp?). I was thinking frosty blue, just without snow LOL
-
Ah, ok. Too bad. Thanks for the update

Cyper, I am not really familiar with AMD CPUs and how powerful yours is, but you will have to stay with the AMD chips unless you want to change motherboard.
Your graphics card is a low-end nowadays, so look into that first.
-
OK, thanks very much for the explanation.
-
Thanks for the reply - are you saying that Post processing can be set by the mission creator?
I thought it was something I managed through the in-game UI?

Bump, bumpetti bump :-)

Hi, I am getting a blue (ish) terrain when I am in the hills on OA terrain. I think the time of day is early morning, but I'd have to check.
Has anyone else seen or experienced this?
I'll see if I can get a screenshot up (any good tips on how to?)
My config is a quadcore CPU, ATI 5870 (1 gb), 4Gb of RAM, WinXP. I just installed the 5870, but I was getting this with an older ATI graphics card as well.
I'm running Combined Operations, with CBA and Zeus AI. It occurs in the user mission "Outmanned, outgunned"
Cheers,

Really hoping that we will see v2.0 sometime. Just read through the thread, sounds awesome.

Different computers, different experiences. If you have a faster CPU, that means the AI get more processing power to make their decisions, which means they will react faster and perhaps even more intelligently.Really? That would render the whole concept of repros useless
-
Hm, interesting, that would have to be done on a per-mission basis, I suppose? It wouldn't work when just choosing any scenario, or ?
-
Always wondered what GL4s "Force Move" feature was about - perhaps this can be solved in a mod?
-
Yes Psycho that would be a very nice feature. However I think we should stick to the actual problem itself, rather than letting the thread turn into an "AI suggestion thread". I want to make it clear to the developers this is not a mere suggestion; but rather a serious flaw in a central game mechanic which must be resolved. There seem to be a bit more attention from BIS towards debates on issues in the Troubleshooting forum. I hate this problem too. Donno if we can move this thread?

Brilliant, just brilliant !
A 100% clean way of getting External Data in and out of ArmA2... almost there!

But, didn't someone invent an addon which could write to entire tables of external data, with SQL for both ways? Not Jaynus' thingy, someone elses?
