    Hi, just tried restarting the mission 5 times. He got killed 2 times by the tail rotor as he disembarks and runs along the helicopter down towards its tail end as if he wants to get to the other side of the chopper. Perhaps he disembarks on the wrong side? But he survived three times. One time I issued a move order while we were still airborne, and two times he simply made it :-) So it's not fully predictable. I forgot to mention that I am running the COSLX AI mod together with the 1.60 patch

    Hi, just restarted this with the 1.60 patch. One of my men (no.2) is always killed by the helicopter as we disembark at the mission start. Has anyone else experienced this?

    AI Driving? Forget About It!

    I perfectly follow your reasoning, anyone can quickly convince themselves that driving is flawed. Only thing is that by having tickets with a repro mission, the developers have a perfect laboratory setting for seeing effects from code changes. That's why they ask for them. Then why do they not build the tests themselves, you might ask. Well, as developer you always prefer to have the customers view on what needs fixing, that is actually quite logical if you think it through. Plus the multitude of scenes (Desert, forest, sloped hills, convoys etc.) that we as users can cover and make tests for is much more than what the developers would be able to come up with.

    Is this in Arrowhead where you have to follow the colored ball around the training course? I have had it get stuck sometimes, but going back and restarting use of the weapoon usually fixed it

  8. When travelling, I have used a Lenovo ThinkPad laptop that is absolutely NOT a gaming laptop and still had decent Arma performance with A2OA 1.60. It has an i5 processor, an SSD hard drive and 8 Gb of RAM. No dedicated graphics, probably this HD3000 integrated junk. I think the single most important factor that enables this machine to deliver a tolerable Arma experience is the SSD. So I would go for that, or more ram so that you can set up a RAM drive (or use this FancyCache that has been discussed on these pages) -OP
  9. Hm, must have been a glitch. Now with COSLX healing/first aid works again, (test case is the BAF scenario B03) where I previously could not get healing to work. Dunno what that could have been :confused:
  10. Thanks for the feedback, will raise an issue on cit Edit: The problem is not in a mod-free A2OA 1.60 install, only when using COSLX. For experimenting, I tried AI FIRST AID SUPPORT 4.7.1 by DAP (http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=111819). That works quite well, healing happens, nice willingness to help. If used together with COSLX, I get CTDs the moment I get shot, seems to be a very unstable combination. I really hope the First Aid in COSLX can be fixed, as I have become quite fond of it
  11. I am having problems healing injured teammates after 1.60 in SP. No AI mods, CO 1.60 only. When selecting the first aid action next to a wounded teammate, my character does not do anything. I could probably come up with a repro, but first is anyone else experiencing this? Am also seeing unwillingness to help me when I'm wounded, but that was also the case before 1.60 Cheers, OP Edit: In a clean test in the editor, it works in a vanilla A2CO 1.60, having synched units to the BIS First Aid module. Must be a problem with the particular mission
  12. I am running COSLX with A2OA 1.60 patch, no other AI mods. I am experiencing the same willingness in help to provide first aid, drag to safety etc. as COSLX has had previously. But I can no longer provide first aid anymore, and - the other way around - when my teammates try to patch me up it doesn't help. They come to my rescue, do their first aid animation and so on, but I don't "heal". Something must have happened in 1.60? When I select First Aid from the action menu for a teammate to help him, my character does not do anything, as if he doesn't enter into the First Aid "mode" -OP
  13. Depends on which version of BAF you got from Gamersgate. If it's 1.03 that is the latest, which is included in the 1.60 patch. If it is earlier, eg. 1.02, you need to rerun the patch; it will not affect the other modules (A2 and OA), it will just verify that they are patched up. BAF, however, will be patched to 1.03. Oh, and let it run, it sometimes seems to have stopped. It will reach 100% eventually -OP
  14. Try Shadows at Very High, together with Video Memory at Default. Those two will make Arma use your video memory in accordance with what it has found you have (localVRAM value). Otherwise, AFAIR it will eat away at your system ram

    Clock indicator messed up

    Sorry, but this is an ancient bug - the uselessness of the clock system in Arma2. If the contacts are displayed on the map after being spotted, perhaps do not consider it cheating as in real life you would get better intel from your team mates.

    OK, it worked with 1.60 no problems, this is my command line: "-mod=E:\Spil\Arma2;Expansion;ca;@cba;@podagorsk;baf;@brg_africa_124;@ibr_plants;@norrn_dbo_fastrope" You might check if your reinstalls has screwed up some folder structure? The full file path for my fastrope addon is e:\Spil\ArmA2\@norrn_dbo_fastrope\addons\norrn_dbo_fastrope.pbo, with e:\Spil\ArmA2\ being my main install folder

    Mods Will Not Launch After Patching 1.60

    your problem was most likely that your config file could not be written to, due to some Windows uac. I had that a lot on a windows 7 install. I guess the new expansion manager has to store the choices you make somewhere and you are not allowed to do so.

    Allright, thanks. After trying some things I did stand beside the ammo cache and looked into Gear to see if I could use that. I'll have another try and look around for the ammo box, is that separate from the ammo cache (big pile of crates)?

  22. Yeah, so I guess it's a feature that will not be much used. No contest for the command line technique if the loading/unloading can not be done on the fly
  23. Will this mean that we do not have to restart Arma2 after having made changes using the in-game expansions (aka mod) manager, ie. mods can be dynamically loaded/unloaded ? Cheers, OP
  24. I concur, if you are the team leader and team switch into another unit, the team is now without leadership. Needs something like what's behind the calls of "I'm the new actual" -OP
