  3. Also struggling with this... Is your building placed in visitor? In that case you can try giving the AI a waypoint in the editor to go inside the building to a "pos" on the top floor and see how it manages.

    Hey! I don't know how to make pilots see the buildings. Hopefully I'll find a way. To get the AI to land on the roofs probably have to require a scripted feature by missionbuilders/scripters.

    Hey guys! I just got back from vacation, ready to work on 0.4. Good to hear it performs better! I agree Pd3, I have to create alot of buildings, both closed and enterable, and then find a nice balance on the map! Stay tuned, and keep the ideas coming! Cheers

    Hey guys! Yeah, destruction is not yet implemented, so buildings just fall to the ground atm. I like the ideas AngelWingGamingJacob. There is already a building (the blueish one) which is gonna be a hotel, just need to add the rooms. Soon enough. I have some ideas to add a underground parking garage, will see if it's possible.

    Here's some WIP photos from the upcoming v0.4! A new building, still a work in progress. As with all the others, this one is also loosely based on a NYC building. Is it posible to see which one this is based on? The mall building will get working sliding doors. I'm still waiting for some info about how v0.3 is performing for you!     Thanks for the suggestions CiforDayZServer! 1. All of the buildings that have interiors (stairs or walls) are setup like this. But many buildings are totally empty, so the 2nd LoD is affecting the exteriors for now. Have alot of job to do on the LoDs, but it will follow your advice. 2. Will think about that, but how would it perform to having the interiors as a proxy in the buildings first LoD? It should act similarly right? 3. I think each and everyone has to adjust their setting according to their performance or leave it to mission builders to decide VD, I guess most people are aware of how much viewdistance affects the fps. But it is true, foggy weather and low VD both looks good on the map and helps performance. Thanks again for the feedback mate!

    Great! Yeah, the one with curved window is still not fixed. There is a few buildings still lacking firelod for glass and so on. I know what you meen about the windows. Waiting for reports on performance, then I'll fix the visuals! And hopefully a new building or two! Cheers!

    Ok, here we go! I worked alot on fixing the models, and noticed quite a nice fps boost. Please try it out and report how performance changed compared to the earlier versions!!     Working hard on finding solutions to the performance now! The big open buildings are quite empty, so I have my doubts it would matter alot to close them. But I will see what can be done. It seems a big problem is the distant Lods, standing close to the buildings is no problem, but looking across the park to the buildings in the distance is horrible for the fps. I did alot of work removing unnecessary polys, unfortunatly it didn't help performance the slightest. But the Lod switching is alot better which maybe caused a new performance drop. Next, I will take a look at how the textures are handled and redo it properly, hopefully with UV-maps. If that doesn't work, I will look at making the buildings simpler. Cheers!

    Good news and bad news... Fixed alot of the ugly LoD switching, so it's less obvious and looks alot better. Also cleaned out the models alot, so many of the models are half the size without any visual changes. Unfortunatly, it did not improve performance the slightest as I can see, which annoys me alot. So I want to try a few more things to improve performance before releasing the next update. But atleast expect a few visual improvements of the buildings in the next update! Later!

    Currently working on the ugly lod switching and removing unnecessary stuff and optimizing what ever I can! It should hopefully improve performance for you all. Hopefully I can finish it by tomorrow. So take note of your current performance so we can compare and see if I'm on the right track!

    I'm experimenting with an easy form of destruction on the skyscrapers to learn and see what can be done! So far the results are interesting! So breakable glass should hopefully be possible to learn aswell.

    I'm doing some experiments to reduce the LOD switching and I tried on the tallest building first, where it is most obvious. It looks better I think, but it might affect performance as well. I cannot notice any diffence in performance, but I would like to have a second opinion on that. It's not perfect since you still notice the LOD switch, but before fine tuning and applying it on all buildings I would like to know how it affects performance. Please try it out and compare with the previous version and let me know what you think! Simply replace "bra_skyscraper1.pbo" in the @bra_minihattan\addOns\ folder with this new one.     Sounds cool! Yeah, the one with the curved glass is still not fixed, so don't fall out the windows there! The glass looks bad from a distance for sure, because I'm not sure how to make glass look good at a distance without loosing the reflective effect. Since the distant LOD removes the interiors you will see through the building from a distance, so I'm experimenting with other solution, but it looks like p**p. And I would like it to not just be a box with a texture in the distance. Some LOD's switch faaar to early aswell, which I'm not sure how to solve. Any suggestions on how to make the buildings look better in the distance is welcome!!

    Thanks Foxhound!! You rock! @SpookyGnu Yes, there will be more type of buildings for sure! That's my ultimate goal, to get high variation. I'm planning to start making buildings again as soon as the worst bugs are sorted out, so that I for sure know that the buildings are playable. As you know I'm learning as I go, making the different lods, how bullet impact works with different materials, adding textures, shadows and AI paths. And I don't want to start making new buildings until I learnt my mistakes from the old ones. So if there won't be any major bugs reported for v 0.2, I will start building new structures! Cheers
