    Time fast-forward

Max Power, skipping ahead in time would be useful for skipping night time or skipping to times where certain tasks must be accomplished. And to "I think when several different squads of friendly and enemy AI are patrolling and interacting, it's not really possible to predict what will happen." Speeding time up speeds up them too. The entire "world" is being processed twice as fast. Things 10km away are processing, though the devs probably don't make it process EVERYTHING. Like if you have never been near an enemy camp their AI is probably disabled and they just stand waiting for you to show up, then they start reacting. Thanks for the tip TinManNFO, I will try that.

:p Yeah, I thought I was so clever. There's probably a reason the notes say 06:00 and the mission starts at ~10:00. They couldn't expect everyone to play the game for 20 hours on that mission. Oh well, it was worth a shot! Hm I wonder if there's any way I can trick it into letting me go 4x. I understand the game is supposed to be realistic, but there's nothing fun about running a mile in 2x speed in an open field :protest:

Well, that was a disappointment. I left the game running all night so I can arrest a guy at 6AM game time, because it said he would be at the post office. That was the reason I wanted to skip through time. I'm guessing the mission maker disabled it for the campaign missions, unless it works fine for others? Thanks for the answers.

(super bump) In Manhattan there are certain times that the targets run errands or whatever, and I really don't want to play the game for 6 hours before being able to do them. Is there no way to jump forward in time? Maybe a cheat? A console command? If so, how do I open console?

Any way to forward time a bit faster?

skiptime isn't a valid command. Is there a list of arma 2 commands anywhere?

Thanks for the tips. :) About the nightvision, in my previous save game I didn't have them, but now I do, must have picked them up off an enemy as mentioned. I will try skiptime. Anyone know where to enter that?

I realize you can accelerate time up to 4x as fast but I noticed in most missions 4x the speed isn't working for me. It works in the boot camp missions. It works on 1 mission during the campaign, forgot the name, sometime right before Badlands. Delaying the Bear maybe? The display shows 4x but it's not going that fast. Besides that can there be a possibility to like jump ahead 6 hours or something? Im on Dogs of War and the pitch blackness is getting annoying to play in. I would rather somehow jump to morning time. I was hoping maybe the barracks you can build in construction mode would work, but they didn't as far as I could tell.
  8. I'm on Dogs of War and I really don't want to continue capturing every city in pitch blackness. Also speedx4 doesn't work on 95% of the missions. I don't know if it was intended, but the label still says x 4.00 when it's really 2.00. It works in Boot Camp and one of the missions somewhere before but near Badlands. Besides the x4 not working, is there any way to jump forward like 6hours? I noticed you can build barracks in Construction mode, is there maybe a possibility that you can sleep there and jump ahead till morning?

    Dogs of War: Lt.Marny

Just checked and you're right it does say that in the mission notes. Looks like a documentation bug in the game. Jakerod: I actually just captured that right before I came here. I'm not sure how it is important in my case, unless maybe it pays a lot of money because of its size. I have no money problems right now, though.

Yeah I considered that possibility too and it's probably right. I was heading way out of where I shoulda been I guess.

I noticed that too. I saw Tomas Marny but couldn't really get any info from him.

    Just wondering

doakwolf: Yes I am sure. It's just an annoying little hitch that makes the game slightly annoying at some points, in tense situations. Snackbar: 1. I don't board the vehicle until all of them are on. I noticed this as well. Ordering them away does work in most cases but kinda sucks when you're being shot at. They don't just run to the vehicle they run like ~4 meters away and then go towards it, making it impossible for them to get in if theres objects within ~4 meters which also sucks. 2. It disappears before I use it. It seems to disappear when reverting to an autosave. Usersaves work fine. And when I do use it, I only get to use it once. 3. Makes sense. If you report your status as injured it turns red even if you aren't hurt, which is a nuisance because I haven't figured out a way to turn it back green without being hurt then healed again. 4. When I disband units they disappear from the world. D: 5. Even at 90 degree angles they can shoot to kill within a couple bullets. And this is on Recruit.

    Just wondering

This game is extremely well-made it just gets better and better as the campaign moves forward. Very addictive, very fun. I applaud this game. But, I was just wondering if anyone else got any annoying glitches such as the following: Sometimes I cannot for the life of me command my whole squad to enter a vehicle. They will just stand there and say "#: NEGATIVE" The game will bug out on Manhattan, taking away my Artillery Barrage. At some point in the mission my corpsman, O'Hara, was unable to heal himself or any of my crew unless they were totally incapacitated. 3 members of my squad had red pictures meaning they were injured, yet there was no option for my corpsman to heal anyone. The next mission fixed this. Reloading he save game didn't work. It seems if I disband temporary units while they are in a vehicle, their positions remain occupied and only 1 or 2 of my squad can enter the vehicle. So it's basically ruined. It seems like the AI is very annoyingly accurate when shooting at me in a car moving at 60mph or kph or w/e units speed is measured in. I normally spend a lot of time trying to find a way to work around these, but to no avail. Are these known bugs, planned on being fixed? Thanks.
