This is a pretty big issue really, more so for the american players. Our player base is allready small and its hard enough to find a good match, now there are three different versions that are in play? Why was it done this way, it just does not make any sense. Im no game designer or anyhting, but there has to be a better solution than this.

Surprised no one posted a concrete answer on this. I figured it would be setup like the battlefield series. Once you bought an expansion it would show all the servers including the non expansion servers. Although, once you selected a vanilla server it would restart the game. But it was still helpful. I did notice that when you open the filter and toggle the "show/dont show expansions" option. That it has no effect on what servers are shown. Which leads me to believe that its supposed to be pulling all the servers in the que. Is this feature broken atm? If it does not work this way, any chance of it being added in a future patch? It’s kind of a pain having to switch back and forth between games when trying to find a good pvp match.

I installed OA correctly (also own Arma 2), and I now run the game from a Combined Operations icon. But when I pull up the server browser im only getting OA servers, and no vanilla Arma 2 servers. I have checked my filter options and everything seems to be set up correctly. Am I missing something here?

Yea, after i posted last night thats what I did, and I now allmost have the mission complete.

Right, but when I issue a group order to attack shouldn't the tank automaticly fire its cannon at another tank? Because I have noticed sometimes he will and somtimes he wont. I dunno, I made it through Arma 2's campaign before it was patched and never got to aggravated. But this is just driving me crazy, i have had to restart this mission like five times now. And im not sure how much more i can take lol. ---------- Post added at 02:18 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:14 AM ---------- Exactly, there's four vechicles to control and all i want to do is issue one order for the tank to attack. And then issue orders to the other units. Instead, by the time i get my tank working right one of my apc's is down.

Trying to control a group of vehicles in the single player campaign is about as fun as taking a hammer and nailing my pinkie toe to the floor. My favorite issue is how easy it is to accidently select the "disembark" command in the heat of battle while trying to issue group orders. I also love how my tank will sit 100 yards from an enemy tank. And only the machine gunner will care to fire. The second mission in OA is REALLY testing my patience BI.

Im running it allmost maxed out on my OC 4890 with no issues (3k draw dis)HUGE improvment over base Arma 2 in that regard. Night and day difference for me. Also the graphics seem to be much sharper and look better all around, but that could be because i can run with higher settings now. The campaign on the other hand is not as exciting/deep/freeroam as the base game, which imo is one of the best i have ever played, even with all the bugs. I have only done two missions so far, and they have been pretty meh, in comparison. So far it seems a rather bland affair (to straight forward/hand holding), hopefully it improves drastically. Really looking forward to playing hold and coop games in the afghanistan setting.

Tring to install OA but i am getting... File copy error (CRC does not match) C:\program files\Bohemia Interactive\Arma 2\Common\anims.pbo My Arma 2 is a retail copy...

Ended up buying it from Sproket with no issues, DL eta 2hrs, cant wait. Thanks to BIS for continued support of the PC community! Note to those who are going to buy from Gamestop, when i called my local shop earlier i was told that you need to preorder it to make sure the store gets a copy. He said as of now they were NOT planning on getting any at their location. Surely not the same for all stores, but for some of the smaller market stores this seems to be the case.

PVP Servers are scarce. But... the two servers below i find are allways active. During the day (eastern time) 100 man berzerk -hold- server. Nightime (eastern time) the BMF - hold - server usually starts to fill around 9pm (a few nights a week it may be dead though). This server has a great crowd of regulars. And will help with any questions you may have. Before you go online you should learn the controls and go through SP boot camp. Asking questions that you would learn there will go unanswered. On the "hold" servers the the colored circles represent the combat zones (except the two home base zones those are off limits). On the BMF maps you will find (weapon selection) ammo crates next to each "flag". You can save you weapon preference by using your "mouse scroll wheel" on the ammo crate and selecting "save loadout". BMF maps: goal - capture each flag in order, the action will be at the most forward postion. Berzerk: goal - hold the zones, action is everywhere allthough a certain zone usually pops up as the most contested over.

This patch has killed my performance. System: Windows Vista Ultimate (64 bit) Core 2 quad q9550 4gigs of Corsair bullet tracer ram Radeon 4890 OC Sata 500gb HD Built a week prior to Arma2 release Before this patch I was running everything on high except for AA and AF with post processing off view distance 1600. No lagg no stuttering even in the big citys. Post patch: i have had to turn all the settings down to medium and still recieve heavy FPS drops in large citys - allmost unplayable. Pretty disappointing to say the least. I was expecting better performance with the patch not worse.
